My wife and I stayed in Encenada for a week and it was just what we planned to have. simple with very calm-clean-clear water (since Encenada is a cove island) , fresh air, very peaceful and private (perfect for relaxation, not a jungle! no public vendors or boats parking in the beach) everything really perfect for like us retirees. Of course with its reasonable price dont expect with a 5 star amenities, no pool (who would want a pool if they already have the best beach in town), no gym (i just walk through their driveway or by the beach for my daily routine exercise), no hot shower (but they dont hesitate to give me daily hot water for shaving). However they have a good restaurant, boats, billiards, wifi internet, friendly staff and beachfront rooms (we stayed at one of their cottages, simple only with just our bed, side table, cabinets, set of table and chairs, private bathroom, air condition.. sleep quality is my favorite very very quiet) they also offer massage (my wife tried it and she said it was really good). The service of course the Filipino hospitality nothing from the books all from their hearts. I will surely go back and bring our children with us next time and will probably stay longer.

My wife and me are not so young anymore but we travel at least 2 times ayear to asia or the Caribbean. Encenada in puerto galera is the place we love most. Very friendly staff, always looking after us. Everyday they clean the beach. The cottage we stayed in is not luxurious, with no hot shower, tv or ref but the over all natural atmosphere made up for the material things we don't need anyway. The food is good and price reasonable. The beach is sandy and water is clear. The rooms looks newly repaired and the cleaning lady is honest when she saw my wife's camera left under the bed she retuened it to us before we could ride the jeepney out. We stayed for 28 days and we are going back in November again instead of India. Jan and Erika

Has a good beach front but the hotel is not well-maintained and becoming dilapidated. The food is also not that good, some where not well-cooked and the fruits served are not fresh. Staff are also not accommodating.

ABSOLUTELY THE **WORST** experience of my life! Encenada Beach Resort is *GARBAGE*, *TERRIBLE* service and hospitality! NO WATER for guests to shower daily. Food at the resort is *HORRIBLE*. *LOW RATING* for customer service. *NOT HELPFUL*

The Management and staff of Encenada are *LIARS AND THIEVES* *DO NOT* Book any activites with them, because they are all *SCAMS* They will *TRICK* you for your money! My wife and I were *ROBBED* while checked into the resort, and the Owners and Management turned a blind eye. Also altered our POLICE STATEMENT to cover their staff who committed the CRIME!! We were NOT compensated for for crime that was committed on their resort. *OWNERS & MANAGEMENT ARE HEARTLESS!*

*MY FAMILY AND I ARE AVID TRAVELLERS. THIS BY FAR IS THE WORST RESORT WE EVER BEEN*

**STAY AWAY**
**NOT SAFE**
**DO NOT BOOK HERE**

I feel like crying when I entered their room. I want to ask them to return my money coz I'm willing to go back to Manila that same day but my husband stopped me being a nice person that he is. We didn't stayed at the resort at all. We just roamed around other places like White Beach and Sabang. We cant stand the bugs, the beds are itchy, the CR is terrible (no water for a day). They didn't even changed our beddings of the 2 nights we slept there. Tsk... My Puerto Galera experience was ruined. It was my husband's 1st time to visit Puerto Galera, and he was traumatized by this resort experience and didn't want to go back at all.... Tsk!

The place is horrible, the rooms are dirty and the bathroom is full of molds and mildew. There was also limited running water and can't use the shower because of no water pressure. This place should not be called as a resort and needs to be torn down. The food they serve was not good and sometimes its already spoiled. This place is very dissappointing and has nothing to offer. BEWARE OF THIEVES as the rooms has no proper locks and can easily be broken. A friend of mine was a victim of robbery as someone broke into their room. The owner did not take responsibilty even though the robber was someone they employ. The owner was not accomodating and the person in charge of activities just wants to rip you off. NEVER STAY HERE AT ALL COST.

Well Ive been here 3 years ago with my Family, i read a review of this resort from a travel trip magazine and fell inlove with the place and the photos.. When we get there I was not disappointed by the place itself. My kids loved the beach and we had a family lunch along the beach. Food was ok.. and when we get to our cottage, we got the 2 cottage along the beach side with a berranda... We are really terribly dissapointed! the rooms rili need an improvement!! it was rili horrible.. and when we tried their amenities only we can find is a bar wer its quite lovely and relaxing but managers is abit annoying. The manager is quite friendly. The girl who was there who i think is the owner or watsoever... she is kinda friendly and rude at the same time. Why? coz shes friendly only when my husband is around which is a foreigner and while im a filipina she didnt even care at all... We played billiards and we paid it 100 pesos per hour. They offer sea shoes for my kids even tho we dont ask and then we got charge for it. The room where we stayed was horrible!!! Bed mattress is smelly, windows are wrecked, ac not working!!!! we wer told to pay 1200 each night, wer supposed to stay 5 days and ended up staying over night only! When we saw a hotel at sabang for a cheaper price we grabbed it nd made an excuse with them. they didnt give our 2nd day advance payment saying its forfieted and for a lunch at the beach and dinner at their bar including the rooms nd everything which is rili things we didnt asked we paid P8000 for a overnight stay!!! totally ripped off!!!! I would deffinetely come back to this place as it was a NIGHTMARE!!!!

We were a group of more than 30 people. We stayed there for 3days/2 nights. Their maintenance man was roving around the place, went inside a room, broke the door lock by the way! And this man stole the money from one of our group members! How sure we are? Because this man went and opened another room first before he stole from the room I mentioned. Luckily, the first room he went in was occupied. The lady in that room was even shocked. This man did not even knock! SO BE CAREFUL! The place needs complete renovation, too. There was no enough water in the bathroom for all the occupants. Rooms were dirty!

This resort definitely need some renovation.Everything looks and smells old.Rusty old place. Our room smells so old, dirty cr,the ac was dripping when we got back in the room from the beach the floor was wet with water. The shower and faucet were damaged. The shower curtain was filled with mold.We couldn't stayed for another minute so we only placed our things in the room, swam in the beach and left.Couldn't spend one night in this place. We paid until the next morning but only stayed on the beach and used the room just to changed clothes and washed.

what can I say there is nothing to say in this place. Rooms are small, hot, bed are foul and smelly, never got a change of bed sheets for a 4 nights stay. Food is terrible and expensive. No other amusement just a pool table with a charge of 100, even have to wait because the family or relatives of the resort owner are so addictic playing it. beach is terrible and dirty. My son and I joined a tour of the banca and had to go just to have a good swimming spot somewhere in the other side of the island where vendors of puka shell, sand sandals, and other seller will bug you all the time while realaxing on the shore. Ovwerall don't go here. better spend your money somwhere where you can get the same price, Puerto GaLera has so many resorts just have to search. next time wisely.
