Detailed Reviews
I've been coming to Sabang for 15 years. I've stayed at this place more than 5 times during various visits, its now my most favorite place to stay in Sabang and White beach. things have changed since the pandemic, access and travel time, but well worth the effort. once you arrive, I don't even have to check in, I just show up and tell them which rooms I'd prefer, and its done. the rooms are large, 11, 12 and 14, my favs. their clean, good aircon, good wifi, great bathrooms and shower, warm water, TV works, has cable, viewing deck comfortable and glass slider access. food is the best I've had on the island, Mel, the chef, is great and very accommodating, he gave me my own personal access to the early morning bar to make my own brewed coffee, that'll never happen anywhere else folks, and he's a great cook. the staff is very friendly and accommodating, they speak good English, the place stays open until the visitors are finished with their entertainment. the pool is small, yet wonderful, access within walking distance from your get off taxi, but not very wheelchair friendly, not much of the PI is unfortunately, I plan to make this my only option to stay when visiting the island. I recommend calling ahead to check availability and have a back up plan because they fill up during high season. access to the island has changed a bit. Batangas seaport is your beginning and you can only arrive in PeurtoGaler, then can only take a tricycle and/or Tuktuk to get there, takes about 35 minutes, cost about 350 pesos and is better then white beach hands down. has walking distance to bars, clubs, nightlife, yet far enough away to be silent for sleeping, many scuba shops and options, its a scuba mecca, you can YouTube many themes here and you should, I can't recommend this place enough and if your on the fence, pull the trigger, its worth it. good luck and be nice.

Located on the beach but virtually all rooms have no view. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
My room was clean with a wardrobe, table and chair. Power point for recharging next to the table. The bed had clean linen and was comfortable. Lighting was good as was the aircon. The TV only had about ten channels.
The bathroom was a decent size. The shower was separate with good water pressure but youn had to wait for the water to get warm. No big deal.
Food at the restaurant overlooking the water was okay.
Overall, I had a comfortable, quiet stay here.

Montani has been renovated by new owners that took over. Rooms are updated, most of the excellent service minded staff is still there and they have created a new roof top terrace. Where you can have a drink to see the sun set. Furthermore, the foods are still very nice. Two recommendations I have for Montani:
1. The rooftop terrace is very nice, although if you are in the rooms 17-20 you will experience a lot of noise from guests coming back from the bars late at night who bring their girls there and drink. My suggestion is to close the rooftop terrace after a certain time ... like 23.00
2. Although the wifi in the restaurant and the bar is always good, the wifi in the rooms is terrible and often not there. This really needs some improvement.

The hotel is well located along the boulevard of Sabang. The hotel has a small pool. When you have drinks, breakfast or dinner you have an ocean view. The staff is fabulous, the kitchen has nice foods and the rooms are very spacious and nice. Everything is working as it should. The hotel is located near several dive operators and cafes and restaurants but just outside the hustle and bustle of the Sabang center but within 3 minutes walk. So you don't have the crowd and the noise of the night life. I have stayed here plenty of times and will surely stay here again next time.

The hotel is nicely situated alongside the boulevard/ ocean. Within easy walking distance from the center of Sabang but in quiet area. The staff is wonderful and the pool is lovely. There was just one room available, room 1 at a premium price. The ocean view is lovely and the room is nice. The toilet is a bit small for westerners and the shower has limited power compared to other rooms I stayed in. I also had to ask for vinegar to clean the shower head because the water was squirting everywhere but down. The aircon in the room is not sufficient to cool the room. Conclusion: I love the hotel, but next time I’m going to stay in a superior room again because the extra price for the seaview room does not meet expectations.

I wanted to be close to my dive shop “Tina’s Super divers” but this review is for the resort.
Awesome staff!! Great food!! Great rooms for the price. Beds are a bit firm for me but I’m there to dive not sleep. Restaurant overlooks the bay so great to have coffee in the morning or a SMP at night. The staff too care of all my Seataxi (speed boat) and shuttle bus to Manila. Anyways, Highly recommend those place.

Poor management and noisy early morning staff make this a mediocre resort . Rooms are clean but breakfast is poor with grotty instant coffee or a tea bag thrown into a cup of tepid water. No excuses for sloppy management . This place could be nice with more effort. Won't stay here again

We stayed in this hotel with my family to celebrate our 5 years wedding anniversary. It was a memorable experience since it was our first time to celebrate our anniversary outside Manila. The place is relaxing to stay at and the view outside the resort was great to look. Our 2 kids really enjoy the place also especially the pool area. They love swimming! The room of the hotel is very clean and nice because of its good interior design. My friends who saw this place from my post on fb keep telling me that the resort was nice to look at. So, i recommend this place to them because it was affordable and we also my whole family would like to be back again here soon. Thanks Montani Resort and its people for the wonderful experience!

Montani Beach Resort offers a good experience to all tourist who like to stay with them. I personally chose Montani over other resorts at Sabang, Puerto Galera because it is somewhat classy and yet, affordable.
For their service, I can say that they are so prepared for all their committed bookings because upon arrival on the resort, they already knew me and immediately accommodate us even though our check in time was 3:00 (we arrived there at 10 am). They also have household keeping everyday.
Also, they offer many varieties of food and drinks. I think this is the reason why many foreigners go to Montani to have a drink rather than staying on their own hotels. Actually, all of our room neighbors are foreigners. The food was pricey but I think it is worth it.
All in all, I enjoyed my first Puerto Galera trip at Montani Beach Resort. I will surely choose the same resort if ever i'll come back at Puerto Galera.
By the way, the comfort rooms and shower rooms have doors. On previous reviews, they said that it has no doors. :)

I have been frequenting Sabang for the last 6 years, have stayed at many different places, styles and locations within the strip. I was so happy to have found that the Montani was ready and available for myself and gf last visit. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for the real Sabang experience, that which harkins back to early years before the growth and building of the pier. I am pleased to say that the room was perfect, the food is fabulous and there is actually no need to go anywhere else during your stay, they have it all, but, exploring is the fun part. you cant go wrong staying here, upgrade to the suite, tip the cook and staff, they will make your stay worth it, thanks again Eva, she made it so fun and I plan to return in Feb, happy travels to all, cheers from Oregon, USA. its about 30metres only. But actually tjere is no beach for u to walk around. But u can do island hopping for 1500peso 1 whole day. Usually white beach will be crowded. U can go to haligi beach...and 2 more other beaches nearby.
Hi you can refer it to their page which is where i refer to the price

Hi David, the 'sea side' rooms are not really next to the beach but they are the closest rooms to it (above the bar/kitchen). And the sea view rooms have a view of the ocean, mistly from the balcony. I've stayed in both and they are good sized clean rooms with A/C. Loved this resort! cheers
About 5 minutes walk from Sabang Port.
