Stayed in the deluxe twin bungalow for 4 nights in this resort. The rooms are spacious and the bahtroom is clean (though hot water was sometimes missing). Awesome view from the balcony. Breakfast is pretty simple (eggs or pancake), but you can kindly ask for a brewed coffee. They have a good billiard in cafe to play. We kindly asked the management to rent motorbikes and they provided ones for PHP 500 per day. The resort is 3 mins by bike to Puerto Gallera and 15 mins to Sabang area. (The White Beach is 30 mins by bike). The nearby beach has soom good coral but the visibility is a problem. With regards to the service, we were lucky to stay there during the Christmas with the owner's family around. Because of Typhoon our ferry was cancelled so the owner helped us to get to Batangas on time. Futhermore, we were kindly invited for the Christmas lunch which was awesome. Overall, expensive yet a good place to stay. Be ready for great views! P.S. yes, the walls are thin so do not expect the full tranquility at this place.…
The place is very suitable for nature lovers. The people around are very friendly. Food is also delicious. And night bars and restaurants by the white beach are still must go places. Another weekend escapade should be planned.
Stay away from this hotel! The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything your neighbour does! Little insects kept falling from the ceiling and they bite too! We had a 5 month old baby with us too. It’s way too dark at night and it’s hard to navigate around and can easily fall as the place is so high up! We were meant to stay here for 2 nights but decided this hotel is not for us and we spoke to the owner of we can takeaway have half of our money back and they said no! We were only there for 3 hours and my husband booked another hotel for us. They are not understanding and just want the money instead of reassuring us. This is not a child friendly place as this is very dangerous for children as the steps are very steep and high. We told the owner of the new place we’re staying at now and even they said they should’ve attest gave half of our money back. We aren’t very happy! Awful hotel and awful staff! All they want is your money! They don’t care about your well being! …
Some of the toughest mattresses and pillows we’ve slept on in 7+ weeks, paper-thin walls (we could hear our neighbour snore as if he was in bed with us), tv that sometimes catches a signal, very poor wifi and a pool that needs cleaning. The power went off often so the fan didn’t work at night, no generator. The view, provided you have good weather is pretty nice though. Bathroom isn’t too bad, 6/10 on a cleanliness scale. Good showers with good water pressure. We arrived early but could not check in a minute before two pm, the rooms were not ready. At two pm a huge group showed up and suddenly at exactly two, all rooms were ready simultaneously. The walk up the stairs from the main road might be a little tough with your luggage but we knew what we signed up for ahead of time and it wasn’t that bad at all, even in the rain. Location: Far from everything, you need a motorbike or hire a tricycle to go anywhere. Breakfast: one big pancake literally thrown at us before we even ordered. They must have had one leftover. Placemats were put down in front of us on a very dirty and wet table, no efforts made to clean it at all. So we cleaned it the best we could ourselves. We got a spoon to eat the pancake with. When we asked for syrup they gave an empty bottle, when we asked for another bottle stating that the first was empty we received another completely empty bottle of syrup. I got up to check the other tables and they asked if we wanted chocolate sauce. Sure why not. So they handed us an empty bottle of chocolate sauce. We checked if we were in a slapstick movie, unfortunately we were not. We finally found some jam for our, by now, cold pancake. After the pancake they figured we might need some coffee so two mugs of dark black coffee-like fluid were randomly placed at our table. The common/ dining area is used by all to smoke even during your meals. We were not expecting a luxury dining experience but this was far below hostel quality. There was a huge group of loud and rude Americans who stayed there at the same time, maybe they used up all of the customer service, who knows. Needless to say we didn’t stay for any other meals. There weren’t any vegetarian options available anyway. Second day however they had found a new batch of syrup. All in all we would never go back here by choice.…
You'll be shocked that the cost is a mere 1500 a night. For this you get a view tha reminds me of the Mediterranean hotels costing 10x as much. Food is priced for paupers but served for kings. Each dish is enough for three and cooked with Michelin scrutiny. I recommend Beef with Mushroom sauce. The black coffee tops every meal perfectly. There's Rocky beach at the door step so swimming is not recommended but it's ten minutes from the nearest white beach. Great for businessmen seeking to escape the grind. You'll get your groove back
