Been here twice and the owner didn't let me down.

Clean room, friendly stuff, swimming pool, free videoke, hot shower, billiard tables, need I say more.

It's just a few minutes away from the beach but yeah, my stay here is worth it.

They'll gonna pick you up from the port to their place at no cost.

We were there twice, first one's holiday 2012 then Jan 2013. The owner of the hotel, We called him Kuya Rems, is a great cook! He's very accommodating that he's really hands-on with his guests such as cooking for them and taking them to and from the beach, since the hotel is 5-minutes away from the white beach of Puerto Galera. The hotel offers free use of swimming pool, Videoke and billiards. Oh and FREE breakfast too. Rooms are clean, with hot and cold shower. Budget-friendly and Highly Recommended!

We stayed here from May 17-19, 2015.We're 1st timers at Puerto Galera and we wanted a nice stay with swimming pool that Rem's Virgin Island Hotel has to offer.

It has a clean and big room, friendly staffs, clean swimming pool, free videoke, hot shower, billiard table and has weights/barbels.

It's just a few minutes away from the beach but my wife and I stay here is worth it.

They'll gonna pick you up from the port to hotel. And Sir Rem will tell you what to do in Puerto Galera and he will call the free shuttle. We enjoyed island hopping, snorkeling and x-treme activities with AUV, mudkarts and go karts.. after our check out we had a groufie with Sir Rem then his staff drove us to port.

We stayed here from May 16-19, 2014. We were fetched at the White Beach Pier by one of the hotels staff. The hotel is located at the other end of the white beach hotel and is facing the main road so we ride a tricycle to the hotel. The room is fine, we are located at room104. The aircon is so cold (perfect for the hot weather outside). The tv is a bit small but good and has cable. the room is just composed of bed and an open cabinet where you can put your clothes. just a perfect room for summer getaways cause you dont actually stay much in the room. I dont know if its true that they have worst doors and room according to one review I read, but the room is great and the hotel is great. You get to have what you pay. The CR is ok. Has a shower.

The rate of the hotel for March-May is 1500/2pax per night. It comes with a free breakfast. the hotel has a swimming pool with 4ft -5ft depth. Has a billiard and videoke. Hotel has a restaurant where in the FOOD TASTE GREAT! Try there SINIGANG its so delicious! The food ranges from 100-150php. They say its good for 1 person only but for me its good for 2persons cause the serving is too many. Each meal is served with Rice. You always have choice to eat to the hotel if you're lazy to go to the White Beach to eat meals.

The hotel owner Kuya Rems is such a hand-on to his guest. It doesnt feel like your just there to stay and feels like nobody. The owner share stories with all the guest and he always make sure that your fine and everything is ok.

The hotel is not at the front of the beach but its OK. Its just around 3 to 5minutes walk to the beach and you're directed to the not crowded part of the White Beach.

I recommend this hotel for travellers especially those who dont want the noise of the bars in the White Beach at night. And it has a pool wherein it could be an option if you dont want to swim at the beach anymore.

Room rates is cheaper from June-March. 1200/night for 2pax and i guess its 2500/night for 4pax. All comes with free breakfast!

We spent 3d2n here. We are really looking for a hotel/resort/lodge to stay who has a swimming pool. And gotcha! Since it was a long weekend most of the hotel in White Beach are fully booked. Good thing we found this and keep trying to contact them. Luckily they have rooms that are still available and have a BPI so I easily transfered our reservation fee. Kuya Rems pickup us and I thought it was really far from the beach since we ride on a tryc. His so called "hotel" was just fine upon arrival. But I really like our room since it has two beds and really spacious for the two of us. Aircon was good though the cr is a bit old. Breakfast was typical filipino menu. It has a unlimited videoke with flat screen. For our dinner we grilled bangus on our first night and liempo on the second nigh, good thing it was near in the market. And since we are not there for the night life we opt to swim in the pool while having our beer till 10pm (pool hours). I think it is 5-10 minutes walk to the beach. We had a hard time reaching the beach when it rains because of the mud along the way but still it's fine. What I just don't like here is their chairs; dirty and old and the grass on the pool area. But still we enjoyed our stay. Staff are accommodating as well as Kuya Rems, though he's loud, a typical pinoy na parang katropa mo lang sa kanto. Hehe. Moreover, he also assist his guests with their tours. Just like us who did our Land tour and was priced P900, when he knew it he told us not to pursue our trip since it was not the normal rate. He even talked to the driver and the tour guide that it was not the right price and told them that he will look for another tryc who will took care of us during our trip. So we saved P200 and spent it for our lunch instead. :)

What we liked about Kuya Rem's place:
-Kuya Rem , the most accommodating and friendly owner we've ever met. You're treated like a guest, a friend and a family. He gives good tip on where to go and where to eat, and is very well known in town
-Food, particlarly the pancit canton!
-Masseusse, look for the Cook!

There are some things to be improved in this hotel like hot water not working, no hangers for wet towels, tv is old school, etc but we didn't come to Puerto Galera to stay at the hotel all day so it really doesn't matter. Plus we didn't pay for a 5-star hotel so, there, just to manage your expectation 😜
Just to note, the hotel is about 3 to 5 min walking distance to the white beach.

we have book our 2 nights stay tru agoda (for about 4k++), which we regret, standard room cost only 1,200 per night for twin sharing with breakfast. luckily we're still lucky to stay at Rems,

we have arrived around 11:30am on white beach, luckily i have the owners cellphone number and he informed us that he will send some staff to pick us up in the port area. after around 10mins, the staff arrive he then ushered us to the hotel's service (which is a tricycle) upon arrival at the hotel, we we're greeted by the owner Kuya Rems and immediately assisted us to our room. Our room was big for the 2 of us (2 queen sized beds) what didn't like is the curtains in our room is very thin also the bathroom is kinda worn out.
what i like the most is the food. every lunch we won't bother to go outside since we are already solve with the hotels resto. price is super cheap and in big servings, they also offer beers and it's also super cheap compared to bars outside. (only 45php compared to 70-100php beers in the bars along the beach)
cleaning of room is by request.
overall it is a great value for money, it's 3-5mins walk from the beach and kinda scary by night. Thanks again kuya rems =)

Even though it is far from the beach it has amenities that's making it worth it! Free billiard and use of pool and unlimited videoke!! Kuya rod and his wife are very hands-on with their customers' needs and he can also hook you up with the cheapest activities in the island. Will definitely go back!!

I was there in March 2015. The owners are very accommodating, and the place is quite nice for the price. It's not near to the beachfront though. You have to walk about 250m to get to the beach. They have a swimming pool if you feel like not going to the beach. They also have a KTV machine and wifi connectivity. For the rates, you may google the name of the place. In addition, they also serve free breakfast from their menu. It's not much for people with huge appetite, but considering the overall fee, it's enough. The room we had was good for 6 people, and it was really spacious. It was air-conditioned and we also had cable TV. If you're not really into something luxurious and want to keep up with a tight budget, I would recommend this place.

Rem's hotel is excellent for budget-conscious vacationers who are also looking for a cozy place. The room I stayed in was spacious and relatively clean. The AC works fine and so does the TV. But who goes to the beach to stay inside the hotel anyway?

The cost of stay includes a Filipino breakfast which was pretty good. There's a also cute pool, videoke, and a billiards table. Beer is cheaper than the other places in White Beach, and pulutan is also satisfying.

I've been to Puerto Galera three times (different hotels) and the edge Rem's has over the others is their 'customer' service. I put quotes on the word customer because the proprietors treat you more like a close friend than a hotel guest. This place will always be at the top of my options when I go to Galera again.
