I will give this review specifically for the Kitchen, Bar and Restaurant ONLY Food is great. But, the process of the order is too slow. We are 6 people and ordered 6 dishes for lunch. It took them more than 1 hour before they serve our order. The staff didn't inform us that there is 1 batch of order prior to us or alteast say something how long it will take our order to be serve. My friend has made 3 follow up with the staff, but keep saying "sorry we have another customer ahead of you that still waiting for their food. I don't understand. They said there are 3 chefs on duty, but the order are still taking more than 1 hour before it delivers to us. I hope the management will do something with the staff to make them more proactive with customer. Thanks Zih
We were supposed to stay on Utopia two nights, but stay three nights when the typhoon came. Staff are thoughtful and kind and want you to be happy. The hotel is on a high mountain with a great view, the hotel area is very nice with beautiful gardens. I can warmly recommend the hotel if you want to take it easy and enjoy. We'll be living here again!
Definetly the best place we've ever been to in Puerto Galera. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, the rooms are awesome, the views are beautiful with the gardens and the staff do their best to make you happy. Highly recommend if you want the best place in Puerto Galera.
My family had a very pleasant, peaceful and relaxing stay at Utopia. Their employees were polite and helpful. Food was also great, we didn't need to go to a restaurant just to eat. Room was clean, no weird smell, no insects, comfortable and spacious. Owner was also very pleasant to guests and hands on with the business. I highly recommend this hotel especially to those with kids. Would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I stayed here for a staycation for a friend's wedding and I must say that I loved the rooms. They have a very large bathroom spa feel in the rooms and don't normally comment about pillows but they were great and I need to get a few for my house. Reasonable price for the quality. Thank you Kelvin and staff for your great work.
We had a lovely stay at utopia so good and in fact we extended a lovely resort on the top of the hill with a fantastic view of the ocean a view in to two different directions. The owner a gentleman from England keeps the property to immaculate European standards our room had a lovely view perfect air conditioning with a comfortable bed and a duvet. The restaurant was excellent and a pool divine, the hotel even offers free shuttle to town and the ports. Upon our departure the owner very clearly stated because of our flight tight schedule to have his staff call the ferry company in advance to make sure everything is running on time. The only unfortunate part of the visit was the staff member "Jen" she told us that she called the ferry and told us it was operating on schedule. Unfortunately when we got to the ferry we discovered all trips were cancelled we ask the office manager why he did not explain that to the hotel, he stated the hotel never called and he is been structuring everybody that ferry was not operating. Unfortunately we had to take another ferry arriving 2 hours later. Pushing us into rush hour the manila traffic causing us to miss our flight by just 10 mins. So we had to sleep in the airport overnight and repurchase a new tickets. Its Fantastic place we highly recommend just be careful of the incompetent staff.…
Nestled on a hill 15 minutes from White Beach, Utopia is an ideal base on the island; private yet accessible. It’s only a few minutes from the island’s attractions, and is equipped with its transport service. The 360-degree view from the property is marvelous, providing the perfect backdrop to the villas. There are less than 10 accommodation units, so it never gets crowded. As for beach access, there’s a trail that leads down to a secluded cove where beachcombing doesn’t involve fighting for space against other tourists and vendors are nowhere in signt—just peace and quiet, save for the few friendly locals who live nearby. The rooms are all great, complete with amenities and features, like a tub and hot and cold shower. Most, if not all, of these spaces even feature ocean vistas. We stayed at the one-bedroom honeymoon suite (named Lily, I think) and could barely tear ourselves away from its cozy ambience. It helps, of course, that we had stunning views of the ocea from the large balcony and living area. There’s plenty of food choices on the island, but the food in the resort’s restaurant shouldn’t be missed. The pizza and breakfast specials, in particular, are must-tries. Service is also great, from the driver to the owner himself, who can be seen, getting busy around the property. All in all, it’s an excellent place for those who want to enjoy the beauty of Puerto Galera in peace, comfort, and privacy. Tips: Visit the nearby Mangyan Village. Have a party at the pool. There’s an ATM by the entrance that accepts international cards, if needed.…
We tried this place for lunch on our last day here and are so glad we did. Everything here is amazing. The view, the service, the food. In the restaurant I was explaining my dietary restrictions as a vegetarian and asking if they had anything that could meet my needs when the owner intervened. Almost all dishes can be made vegan or vegetarian, and he too was in the process of stating this more clearly on his menu. So I chose a vegetarian pad thai which I had been craving. A little later the waiter came out with some complementary garlic bread, as it might take a little longer to prepare the food. They had sent someone out to get fresh produce especially for me. With the view keeping us entertained we waited for a little while. No longer than we usually wait for our food and what came out was delicious and fresh! Intrigued, we looked up the roomprice and if we had known that there is so much value for so little money we would have definitely stayed here for a few nights! …
We stayed here for four days, by far this is the only place I've stayed in worldwide where hospitality is top notch. The staff truely cares for the guest's enjoyment, comfort and well being. The resort is on a hilltop away from city noise. The views are spectacular. Transportation to and from reasonable places on the island is provided at no cost. The food is great, the bar and mixed drinks are great. Must try the STROH 80 at least once... Enjoy.
