Our hotel with antique pillars is located in one of the oldest hotels in Puerto Galera, Philippines. We renovated it, slightly changed the layout and colors and tried to make all the places in the hotel as cozy as possible. No two rooms are the same in our hotel, they are all different. The beach on which we are located is unique in that it is very quiet and clean, but if you want an active tourist life, you can walk to White Beach. We have many places outside to relax, a beach with sun chairs, a place in front of the building with tables and umbrellas, a terrace with columns, a common area on the ground floor with sofas and tables.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Freedive Inn for two nights but could easily have stayed so much longer. It is one of the best budget accommodations we have found so far in the Philippines. Great location, right on the beach with a reef for snorkeling just meters away, the rooms are well decorated and comfortable, the food is good, tasty and home cooked and the team look after you so well. There are plenty of communal areas which create a real family feel, but also means there is enough space for guests to do their own thing, whether relaxing, working or even doing yoga on the balcony overlooking the beach.
We arranged a private snorkeling tour in their boat and had a great afternoon exploring the local coves and bays, and Lawrence the captain made sure we went to spots that weren't full of other tourist boats which was great.
They have all the kit available for snorkeling and freediving and offer freediving courses and fundives if you're already qualified. Alex is an experienced instructor and we had some great fundives with him - whether you're a beginner or experienced this place is worth checking out.
The beach is beautiful, plenty of space to enjoy and shade for when it gets too hot. You can walk along the beach and scramble over a few rocks to get to White Beach and all the local bars and restaurants (or you can climb the stairs and take the road if scrambling isn't your thing). Plus the sunsets are amazing, best viewing spot is sitting on the patio out the front of the hotel.

The FreeDive Inn is like a cabin on the beach, with a lot more comfort, and a true feeling of home! It is quiet, private, and also connected to a family atmosphere where even as a solo traveler, I was welcomed in, given space to do my own thing - still always near someone to chat, compare diving & traveling stories, share food, and live a life on the beach! The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and clean. The shower was hot after long days in the water. I passed out many times in my quiet room after long days in the water here. The food was all wonderfully prepared by excellent local talented cooks - thank you!

I have been to many resorts before and I can easily say that Freedive Inn is one of the best I've been in. Our hosts are very kind to let us borrow their buoy for free when we snorkel. Their staff was very hospitable and there for all of our needs, from the boat ride, tricycle rides, and many more! Thank you so much! We will definitely be back!

Guys it's such a magical place 🤩We enjoyed our vacations so much not only because of the amazing view on the sea right from the room and breathtaking nature of the island, but as well because of the atmosphere which hosts are creating there. I travelled a lot but FreeDive Inn became one of the most favorite spots for me. I highly recommend you to visit it if you're looking for a recovery vacay in a calm, quite place close to nature and sea. Hosts (Mila and Alex) were extremely accommodative! We felt like home but with a much better view lol

We were here with friends (two married couples) from April 3 to April 9, 2024. We chose the place based on the request “best snorkeling”. The island of Mindoro, Puerto Galera was recommended to us in a Philippine chat. The school/hotel Freedive Inn was chosen for the following reasons: for the first time on this island, the owners are Russian, it will be time to get comfortable and it will be easier to get the necessary information about the best places for snorkeling and other activities. The hotel is budget, but very cozy and homely. It was as if we didn’t come to the Philippines, but the Philippine Sea ended up in Russia. We had a great time, all our expectations were met. Mila, the owner of the hotel, told us about all the interesting snorkeling spots, activities, restaurants, shops and markets in the area, and took us on a canoe tour to the beaches and snorkeling spots. The hotel does not have a pool, but there is an agreement with a neighboring hotel; we went there to swim in the pool (50m). We visited several restaurants in the area, but the best cuisine was here. Special thanks to Sonya for her excellent soup, pasties, and dumplings. We swam on the house reefs at least twice a day and admired the corals, turtles, and fish. We regularly saw turtles, nudibranchs, moray eels, and large schools of mullet. We saw an octopus once. Sunsets are a separate issue, it's just a song.

Cozy place, excellent people.
It was unforgettable 2 weeks spent in the nice place with great hosts.
True family-like experience. 10 meters from the sea with rich marine life home reef, beautiful sunset view from the terrace. Room and common places clean and well-equipped. Local cousine is very tasty and served with a smile :)

Comfort, tranquility and homely atmosphere. There is a common room and a veranda for relaxation and team meetings. Very comfortable staff, lots of pre-order food options. There is an opportunity to cook for yourself. There is food and beach entertainment within walking distance. If special options are needed, ask Mila, she will create anything.

It's been a fantastic two weeks. We lived like with close relatives. Cheerful owners, homely atmosphere, excellent rooms, helpful staff, delicious cuisine, uncrowded clean beach, 30m from the sea. Fabulously beautiful house reefs!
