Detailed Reviews
We hoped for a great vacation, which is why we chose to stay here, but sadly, it disappointed us.
WiFi: When I inquired about the amenities via Facebook Messenger, the person I talked to said the internet connection was fine but worked best on the 1st floor. I chose the classic deluxe room for this reason. However, to our surprise, there was NO INTERNET UNTIL THE DAY WE LEFT. I understand we came to the beach to unwind, but with no phone reception, we were relying on the internet to stay in touch with family and friends.
Key card: It was always not working, so we had to seek the receptionist's help.
Bedroom: On the day we arrived, the room smelled like mold, and we noticed lizard droppings on the curtains and bed (dried). We let it pass, acknowledging that no one can control a lizard. On the second night, a live cockroach was in the room, which I disposed of after catching it. The next morning, we found a very dried cockroach under the bed, likely there for a long time. The housekeepers should ensure cleanliness even underneath the bed. On the second day, we requested a sheet change, and they wanted to charge us 1000.00 PHP (around 17.88 USD). I told them we've never been charged for that at three to five-star hotels we've visited. They insisted they only provide "make bed" services. Eventually, the manager/receptionist allowed the housekeepers to change our sheets.
Bathroom: The bathroom sink was too low (I'm 5'5", and it was still too low; my 6' tall husband had a hard time), and the water pressure was only 1/5. The shower was also low, requiring a strange maneuver on the moveable shower head to make the rain shower work. If set to the hot option, it would turn off. The bathroom walls were not clean, with dark gray walls and dried soap stains. The hairdryer was subpar, akin to something you could get from a cheap store, and the airflow was weak. There were two dispensers in the shower area labeled "shower gel" and "body wash," which seemed identical.
Free breakfast: They offered rice meals and omelets with bread. The first breakfast was okay, with generous portions, including 1 cup of garlic rice, 2 fried eggs, and a choice of longaniza, tocino, hotdogs, or fried baby bangus. They provided free barako coffee. I informed the server that I would get our own coffee to ease her workload, and I noticed the coffee was thin, not dark, more like oolong tea, and did not taste like coffee. The coffee machine apparently was not working. On the second day, the food options were the same, but the coffee quality improved.

Casa Marco Suites Puerto Galera review. Don’t book this hotel. Don’t come here, it’s a nightmare. We got sick from the molds and dirty air conditioning unit at Casa Marco Suites Puerto Galera. There was no room key according to the staff when we arrived due to electronic systems being down, so we had to always ask them to open our room for us every time that we had to get in. When we arrived from a long flight from Sofitel Bali, they could not locate our booking as their internet was also down. Imagine the frustration as we just really wanted to get some rest already. When we were ushered to the room, it was humid and hot, it was dusty, the floor had so much beach sand and the air conditioning was not turned on. As we were so tired to make a big fuss, we decided to cool off in the shower. In the middle of it I found out there was no shampoo or body wash in the bath room! They said we could dial 0 on the phone if we needed anything so I got out of the shower to call housekeeping and ask for toiletries. Horrifically, the phone cable was disconnected. Ridiculous! I was already getting annoyed but kept my calm as there wasn’t anything we could do anyway. When we informed the staff about it, they did not even care like it was a common complaint that they get every day. After dinner at an Italian restaurant at the beachfront property Casa Mia, we came back to Casa Marco Suites to do some work online. I had important emails to send. Surprise! No internet still although they promised that it would be fixed in a few hours after we have checked in. I had to use my personal data on my phone to get some online work done from this property. We paid for a De Luxe Queen Bed room but was given a room with a bed smaller than a regular double bed. We have decided to cancel our remaining days here and booked another hotel instead. We asked for a refund for the remaining days that we don’t want to use anymore but the staff said they do not offer a refund. Wow. What a mess. This place is a scam, and it’s not as advertised. Don’t come here!

Booked a month before, paid the reservation, they sent the confimation email. All is well and planned for our 17 person trip (15 were seniors) A week before the trip, I inquired about an additional room, that was the time they informed that the booking was cancelled since it was already reserved for a booking.com guest. They why did they gave me a reservation confirmation and accepted my booking fee? All they can do was move us in a diff date, (sunday-monday) but of course we cannot do that. So i demanded to get my reservation fee back. Good thing we found a much better resort with pool and better service at a lower cost in a weeks notice. Manage your booking management please!

The structure does not correspond to the descriptions. Dilapidated but above all with poor hygiene. In the bathroom there are no face towels or soap on the sink. We found the sheets with holes in them and the windows in the room very dirty. Very bad experience
