Detailed Reviews
At first we were a little disappointed but as the saying goes, don't judge the book by its cover. The hotel was affordable and the people/crew,staff and the owners are friendly. I love the setting of the pool. The location of the place is for people looking for serenity and relaxation. The food is worthy of price, affordable and is always served for up to 4 persons. You might think that the food at the restaurant was a little expensive because most of the guests are foreign, but not. I booked our arrival a day before Holy Thursday and i was so surprised that they did not have changes in the room rate thinking it is holy week. Upon checking at other hotels supposing one night is 1500 they had overrated to 2500 or more. And another thing,if you wanted to explore Puerto Galera and u are staying at Sabang, just rent a motor bike for 500pesos only and you can save more money than to rent a tricycle or ride a jeepney or tricycle. And after exploring Galera just dip yourself at their pool and you'll be relaxed. Try Angelyn and you'll not regret your stay. Thank you Angelyns Resort for a well accomodation. Godbless!

I have stayed at Angelyns 5 times and its always been good. Now the building is finished its even better with a beautiful infinity pool. The included breakfast is excellent as is their new restaurant. I tried to get a room with a kitchen on longer trips. The staff (especially Rose, and Jeff) are excellent and well trained and helpful.
For longer stays an apartment is more economical, but for a few days or a week or two I would recommend Angelyns. Also it's right next door to Frontier Scuba which are the (IMO) the best Technical Dive shop in Puerto Galera.

Stayed at this hotel for a quick getaway from Manila for a few days. Got off the boat and picked the closest decent looking hotel. The room was basic you might want to take your own pillow. And the shower was very simple with no pressure so not easy for hair washing.
Location was good. You can go out diving or snorkelling straight from the hotel.
Located in Sabang this town seems very popular for older men.
Took a tricycle ride to town Puerto Galera which was fun.
Food at the restaurant was better than any where else we tried in town, they even had blueberry pancakes. Vegetarian food is very limited.
Also the power went out each night for a short time which was a little scary.

This was the best hotel I have ever experienced in Phillipines . Right from the start there was a member of thier staff to meet us at the ferry terminal to help us with our bags it was a short walk to the Hotel. The reception staff were superb and we were in our room in a few minutes. Once at my room I was in second heaven the views of the sea from my terrace were very beautiful. We ate there for the 4 nights we stayed the food was very good but the star of the show was the restaurant staff they were great friendly funny and very attentive. Thanks to all the great staff

I stayed at Angelyn's for 11 nights during June 2013. I picked a bungalow room after looking at the photos on the website. I was disappointed.
The photos on the website show a clean, spacious room that can fit 2 large beds, the room I had definitely wasn't that. Overall, my room looks very tired.... old, broken furniture... stains on the bare wall, half-broken toilet, filthy bathroom.... The TV is half the size of my laptop computer screen. Worst of all, the room is located far away from the main building and main road, and the path that leads to the room is unlit and full of dirt. The room is not a "bungalow" at all. It is just one of the rooms in a 2-storey building that looks like the dormitory for the employees. The building is located in the middle of a local "neighborhood", i.e. I lived next to the locals and paid more than 20 times what they pay for theirs. Front desk staffs are not friendly at all, never seen those guys smile to the customers.... Food in the restaurant is OK but you have to constantly protect your food and drinks from the non-stop harassment from the flies. It sickens me to think about how many of them had landed on my plate of food before it was delivered to my table. I ended up eating all my meals (except the free breakfast) in other nearby restaurants.
Pricier rooms in the main building maybe nicer but all-in-all, I will NOT stay at Angelyn's again and will NOT recommend it to my friends.

Angelyns Dive Resort in Sabang Puerto Galera is a typical Sabang simple resort, but untypical clean and nice.
The small pool offers swimming with a spectacular Sea view, the coffee tastes good, the rooms are clean with nice beds, nice bathroom and the Cabins on fl 2 and 3 with a balcony and a Sea view can be recommended.
The Sabang beach is in itself not very well suited for swimming, too many boats and too little sand. Sabang is all about activities like diverging, snorkeling, running and more. Shopping and general restaurant life is also flourishing.

We booked through Frontier divers next door, so we were only staying at the place, not diving with them. Room was nice and clean. Breakfasts get busy but service is very prompt nevertheless.
The only problem was getting internet through WiFi - it is available only in the restaurant area and sketchy to say the least (virtually unuseable). Globe had 3G there though and was working very well most of the time, even good for skype late at night. Smart has 3G as well, but slow and maybe good for emails.

Stayed for 2 nights in Feb 2014 and this is my 3rd time there.
Loved it again, food is good, breakfast fantastic (tapsilog).
Anna Grace the waitress is a delight.
Reception is simple and friendly.
All in all a perfect reasonably priced resort.
Internet was slow but it seemed every place in Puerto Galera was the same, if not worse.

Second time to be here. Stayed for 8 nights for dive course. A new swimming pool is open to guest now. Location is quite good and very near to dive shops. Foods and room are average. It's comfortable and easy access all activities in Sabang beach.

ok here is the tip about this hotel, if you get ocean veiw room - then you can say your stay at this hotel was a success, all other rooms suck.. its smelly, dirty and very very 1 star!
TIP : The Best Room of the hotel is 43A! + all the other rooms with a VIEW! DO not go for City view rooms - they are horrible!
now another suprise of the hotel : for breakfast if you ask for fresh juice - they dont have one..
they serve you with Fanta :) and this is where entire island is covered with mango trees ( no mango juice is available)
Omlets are tasty, this is good news and service at restaurant and reception is good too
