We had a good stay here and enjoyed the hospitality extended by the cheerful staff and the good quality restaurant here. Food and beverages were a real highlight of our time here. The pool was also excellent and we were just sad that our stay was of a short duration, rather than longer.

We stayed with my family and the rooms is very spacious, clean and even they have smart tv with netflix which my wife and I enjoyed after a long at the beach. Bathroom is equipped with bathtub and toiletries amenities. This resort is ideal for relaxation the Staff are very friendly and welcoming even my kids love it. Beach area have good spots and ideal for snorkeling nearby in the area. Food had few selections on the menu, however you can ask special request to the chef to cook your favorite menu. Food can be shared for two specially their pasta.

If this resort was not on soft opening, I would have been less forgiving by giving 3 stars. I do recognize that they are a work in-progress so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully, they take this review seriously so they can address what they need to in order to improve before they go full blast.
The place is beautiful. It is away from the main beaches of Puerto Galera so it is kind of secluded and a lot more quiet. The gardens are landscaped with the paths to the different amenities well laid-out. Trees abound at the resort giving it a very serene vibe.
The cozy beach villas grouped into clusters of 4 are located at the eastern side of the resort. The villas at the southern end are bit more tricky to get to because you have to climb some steps. The villas are mostly maid of local materials and wood, giving them a very tropical feeling. They are also huge, with huge bathrooms. At approximately 75 square meters per my estimate, they can easily fit a group of 4 or 5 to a room. The first 4 villa clusters have balconies overlooking the pool. Beyond that, the ones at the southern end will have views of the mangroves.
Inside, you will have everything you need - smart TV with cable channels, split type aircon, mini-bar, king size bed, day bed and roll away bed. You can even access your Netflix account through their smart TV.
The infinity pool is laid out in the garden fronting the first few villas. The main pool is of average size with a maximum depth of about 4.5 feet. The much smaller but deeper pool is constructed beside the main pool and was made to look like a deep well. Its outer walls forms part of the facade of the main pool. It is circular in shape and has a depth of 12 feet.
The beach is on the opposite side of where the villas are. The pool is in the middle. The beach is small but the sand is nice and white. They have some beach lounge chairs set-up for relaxation. There is a snorkeling area just off the beach. They serve food and drinks at the beach but they are ordered through the restaurant.
There is only 1 restaurant on the island resort. The food was fair overall but selections were very limited and quite pricey for what you get.
What was good:
- The rooms (villas) are huge with everything you need inside. - The place is beautiful and excellently laid-out. - The beach was quite nice even if small. - The pool never got cold even when it got chilly due to cloudy weather when we were there.
What needs work:
- The staff. They were trying their best but I think they need more people to cater to all the guests. - The food selection and service. Several times the food in the buffet ran out and it took them a long while to refill. - Food selection was very limited and expensive. - Check-out took a while because there was only 1 person manning the front desk and 4 groups were checking out. - The feather in the pillows were popping out of the pillows and were quite sharp and uncomfortable. - Beach was nice but there was some trash left behind by guests, especially cigarette butts. They should clean more thoroughly and discourage smoking on the beach. - We arranged for a private boat pick-up and it was late for 30 minutes. I understand that boat trips are done through an external vendor.
If Friday's PG addresses what they need to improve, I could definitely come back again and even stay longer.

Still the one of the best experiences in Puerto Galera is enjoying the stunning beachfront location and natural views. We had relaxing day on the white sandy beach, swim in the crystal clear waters, and indulge in delicious food and drinks at the beachfront restaurant. The resort also offers various water sports activities such as snorkeling, and diving. Additionally, the friendly staff and cozy accommodations make the stay at Fridays Puerto Galera truly memorable and enjoyable.

Visited with family for the day for lunch on the beach, excellent service, food was extremely good value and the service was attentive. Great to arrive by boat. Swimming feels safe and a large roped area for this purpose

At first, I decided not to write a review at all and forget about them because the hotel was pretty okay for a couple of days staying. However, they highly let me down at the end of my trip, so here it is:
1. I booked the hotel through booking.com (the price wasn't low), but the hotel required extra payment. When I asked why, they claimed that Booking.com charged a commission or something similar. Booking.com replied to me, stating that I shouldn't have to pay. However, this didn't help; the hotel still demanded payment. I don't care about their relationship with Booking.com; that's their problem, not mine. Continuing to work with Booking.com while deliberately charging visitors extra money is unacceptable (if they continue working with them that means that they just stealing money from visitors).
2. The coast is in very poor condition; you cannot swim without special shoes because it's covered in seaweed.
3. There isn't much to do there; it's a boring place for me.
4. They offered to help me buy tickets, which seemed like a nice option. I asked for tickets for 12 pm, and they bought them but required us to leave around 10:30 am. When we arrived at the port and boarding began, the staff informed us that we had the wrong tickets for 2 pm and that we would have to wait until then (with my family and baggage). It was crazy.
The hotel doesn't care about its visitors at all! Initially, I spent around 7 hours trying to understand why they required extra payment, which was illegal. Then, at the end, I had to spend a lot of time at the port instead of enjoying the beach or a restaurant, etc.
With this kind of attitude towards visitors, you have no right to call your hotel as good, especially not for this price (~200$) per night. I will make sure to inform all my friends to avoid the "Fridays Hotel" wherever they go.

Original booking was March 22,2020 but because of the Lockdown nationwide, we have to postpone our trip.
For almost 2 years no travel, we finally have a chance to reschedule our stay! Ms. Thet of Front Desk was very accommodating in terms of all the essentials documents we needed for our stay. She even arranged the QR code for local government we needed. Everything goes smoothly for our travel going to Puerto Galera.
Upon arrival, we are greeted by the staff and we feel a warm welcome. We have a great access to the swimming pool and the location of our rooms are what we expect.
The food are excellent, the service is very attentive special thanks to Sir Jerome who assisted as during our dinning experience.
The beach area at Friday's is super low (Low Tide I mean) wasnt able to enjoy the beach. That's why on our second day, we booked a whole day island hopping and snorkeling which we really enjoyed! I felt like swimming in a big aquiarium. All money spend are worth it. Look for Sir Darwin, he is so accommodating and flexible in the area we wanted to see.
Overall our expecience is great. At first I was hesitant to book a room here because of the bad reviews I saw. Sometimes you have to experience first before believing in those reviews.
We are looking forward to go back in this area ♥️

First Experience: Number of night/s: 2 24 to 26 February 2019 1 Premier Sea View Room
I booked and paid for a Sea View Room, however, the room which we accommodated was lower grade with cement wall's view ( pictures are attached). When I asked reception, they said no more room is available, and I need to talk to the Manager for return overpaid money which is not available. During two days of stay, I sent two emails to management with no reply. During check out, I explained my comment in the survey form. Before leaving the hotel, a gentleman (General Manager) and politely apologized and confirmed my room downgraded because of technical difficulty. He did not return me overpaid money; however gave me his visit card and promised to do something in my next stay. Result: They ruined my vacation.
2nd Experience: Number of night/s: 2 12 to 14 January 2020 2 Fridays Premier Suite
I booked two Premiere suite to stay with my friends, which they came from State to spend their vacation here in the Philippines. Just a day before our departure, they sent a message and informed us resort has an electricity problem. So, They asked to accept to stay at dark, or our reservation has already canceled. I asked them several times to connect me to the general Manager, however, they raised different excuses he is not available. They NOT only did not return my previous overpayment and NOT only did not book any other hotel for us but also didn't pay back my this booking payment up now.
Result: They ruined my vacation, and I lost face against my guests. Stay away from Fridays Puerto Galera. Management / Customer care is AWFUL.

My husband celebrated his birthday at Friday’s. It was a nice place, the pool was perfect, food was good and staff we’re friendly and we had a huge room with a bathtub 😽 Though I won’t really recommend swimming at the their beach. But in total the place is awesome and They also offer lot of activities.

This place is far away from Puerto Galera, waste of time, crazy restaurant prices and pour menu choices. The room old and need heavy maintenace. Dirty water when shower almost brown, look like dirt in the water so the drain is blocked from dirt or what it is.the rooms would be nice if repaint it. This place look like running out of money bad service. Stay away is all i can say.
