booked in agoda, i saw all good reviews and good pictures, but really was too bad place to stay booked 5 nights and left to other hotel even they refused to refund, deluxe room, in 4th floor, all stairs, no cellphone signal or wifi, furniture and painting very old and broken, room too small jusst as bed size, no kettle to make coffee or tea, even drinking and eating not allowed in the room, at night you will use cellphone ledon stairs because they will off lights, not as pictures showing, all i see very good reviews in agoda and it’s lies, even my review not shown, bui checked it here in tripadvisor and saw the reviews telling the truth
I stayed at the Dreamwave hotel in White Beach in Puerta Galera 13/9/2022 for 7 nights with my partner To say I was disappointed is an understatement I arrived to find the hotel is currently being refurbished and not as described in the pictures in Agoda. I will list my complaints below that happened in the 7 days I booked a deluxe room. The room had a king size bed in it. A TV unit and a TV and a bathroom. There was no space in the room other than to walk round the bed. No table or chair. No kettle. But more importantly no wardrobe to put ones clothes. The bed when I sat on it creaked and groaned like a 1930s spring bed would. The view out the window was of a building site I went to reception to speak to the manager. I was told that was the room I had booked and is a normal deluxe room I mentioned about no wardrobe but they had no answer to that. After several discussions back and forth I was offered another room but for only 6 days (I would have to revert to the original room for one night.) OK let’s see the room I said and I was showed another room a VIP room four times as big Back to reception I said I would accept that room she said it is another 9100 pesos (150 pounds) I argued that they had failed to supply me with what I had already paid for but they wouldn’t budge So I reluctantly paid We moved in to the room These are the issues with this room No wardrobe we lived 6 days out of suitcases No hot water. They tried to fix but couldn’t I was offered another room to shower in but that lasted two days No kettle till I asked for one The microwave didn’t work The shower floor leaked from the tray to the floor The window was filthy and grimy No hot water in the sink after two days Water pressures in sink was poor No sink plug The bed was great as was the view through the dirty full-length windows The hotel itself has been boarded off just behind reception and all the rooms being let are on the front of the building. The front entrance has a space allocated to a tattoo artist here he lounges sprawled about sleeping in the day waiting for customers The front entrance has roller shutters that come down at night Breakfast included in the 9100. The menu only had small items on it and the value was between 150 and 250. If we had anything above 150 we had to pay the extra On the first night / morning we were woken at 5.30 with someone on the building site behind the boarded corridors singing at the top of their voice. I mentioned this to reception but again it happened on night 2 and 5 On night 4, hotel guests singing loudly in the hallways and reception area, despite a night guard, it woke us up at 3am. I mention this to reception and asked why the guard hadn’t stopped this but they had no answer The seating area on the balcony for smokers was filthy and the chairs were old paint splattered plastic garden chairs The best for last In the pictures in Agoda website shows and the description quotes tables and chairs on the beach to enjoy your food…. No tables and chairs on beach there’s a 10 foot esplanade in front of hotel When we did sit at the front of the hotel at the tables we were constantly harassed by vendors selling their tat the hotel did nothing to discourage this. At times the massage women (between 3 and 6 women) sat on the front step of the hotel chatting These words are directly form the Agoda page for this hotel This 3-star property features restaurant to make your stay more indulgent and memorable. NO RESTAURANT just your 150 peso breakfast that was appalling If I had seen all of this prior to booking I wouldn’t have booked even one night…
Me and 3 female friends stayed overnight in this hotel from May 4, 2019 to May 5, 2019. We were supposed to check in at noontime of May 4. We arrived at 4pm but our reserved room was not yet ready. We finally entered Room 212 at around 7pm. Towels were not ready. When we asked for it the staff gave us 4 damp, formerly-white-turned-yellowish towels. Toiletries were not provided - no soap, shampoo, toilet paper. Worse, the toilet seat cover was too old and stained. The shower was out of order, obviously unfixed for years. Wifi connection was only at the ground floor. And all these for P4,328.00 a day! Attention Hotel owner/Management: Shame on you! You should rename your hotel to Bad Dream Hotel or Nightmare Hotel!
My family and I have booked 2 double delux rooms for 4 nights thru Agoda and we are 7 people in 4 double beds. We chose to stay in White Beach because it is the closest area to the recent music festival we have attended. Our checked in was done smoothly, we were welcomed by their sweet staff and some refreshing drinks. But the horror started the moment we get in our rooms. It wasn’t the one shown in pictures when we were booking them. The rooms doesn’t have any windows! It is kinda stupid to stay in a beach hotel without windows. When you are inside the rooms it doesn’t feel like you’re on a beach holiday. It feels like you are in a cheap run down motel. If this is the look of their Delux room, I don’t even want to see their Standard room. Another disappointment was the very poor cleanliness and hygiene inside the room. Their white bedsheets and blankets are not white anymore- they’re yellowish from over use. The blankets have holes, after 2 days we requested for room service but they gave us a blanket with bigger holes!! I almost don’t want to touch anything in the toilets. Bidet hose, faucets and door knobs are too old and rusty. There is no shelves to put your toiletries so we put them on top of the toilet bowl tank. The proximity of the towel rack from the towel bowl is really bad. You will hit your head every time you rise up from sitting in the toilet bowl. The only good thing about our stay in DreamWave is their staff. They are very nice and accommodating. Their breakfast meal are also good. Would I stay in DreamWave again? NO Would I recommend this accommodation?NO…
Great location. Food is good. Service was a little slow but the island is known for it. The room was adequate however you could easily hear the noisy guests walking along the corridor. I’m not too happy with the bathroom however, for the amount I paid for my stay here, not going to complain about it.
Good for a place to sleep only but nothing more. ROOM: Is ok, good interior, small but you can hear the noise from the outside easily. Even the guests walking along the corridors. RATE: Is OK. Paid 1,700php per night with simple breakfast set for two. LOCATION: very Good since its exactly beach front. STAFFS: Are ok. Although some barely understands english which idk why since they are mostly dealing with tourists/foreign so its quite odd. Over All its an OK stay but nothing special or to compliment though.
im glad i stayed at dreamwave! it was a great experience. very accessible to the beach! and the bed was so comfortable! defenitely coming back! hopefully i can get access to their wifi from inside the room next time😊. overall it was great!
My cousins and I decided to have a weekend getaway in Puerto Galera. We decided to look for accommodation when we were there. We end up staying at Dreamwave Resort. We occupied one family room and one of their suite room. The resort has WIFI but it can only accessible in the lobby. Breakfast does not included to the room rates. It's a good spot since it's right in front of the beach. If you want a permanent or henna tattoo, they have a shop in front of the resort where you can have your tattoo.
We came here for our anniversary. With our deluxed room for two, I'm very impressed with our room. Very clean, cozy style, and with regards to that famous smelly bathroom and stinky water from the faucet and shower that i have read from the reviews, we didn't even encounter it. They even allow us to early check in without extra charged. Please keep it up. Will definitely return here! - Ahyani
Dearmwave is beach front, so that's a big plus. However, getting there takes some muscles especially if you have loads of bags. There's no way of reaching the place other than by foot, and it takes about 200m to go there from the nearest pavement. Rooms were old, and you can see they aren't maintained very well (if at all). Lights were falling apart, paint is cracking from the walls, no balcony on the rooms, shower was so small you can't even hang wet swimming clothes in there. Once you enter the room, you just know it's old and not taken care of. On the plus side, guests are just a stone's throw away from the beach where they have all water activities. Expect hagglers to be lurking around and trying to get every chance for a booking. If you're looking for beachfront and wouldn't care about sleeping conditions too much, this place is not a bad deal.…
