We have stayed here at Playa Blanca for two times. The hotel is located in the end of the island. The room is simple but clean, we were even given an early check in with no additional fee. The owner of the hotel is really nice, he gave us complimentary beer while we were swimming at the pool! The hotel on the other hand has no restaurant but there are a lot of restaurants along white beach. Definitely a home in puerto galera

Location: 10/10 beachfront hotel and just few minutes walk away from bars & restaurants
Stairs: 1/10 very steep
Staff: 7/10 A guy assisted us to carry our bag downstairs to our room. We parked at the roadside above the hotel. They were responsive at first but when we're checked in and asked for the netflix pincode, they were not responding so we had to go down the stairs to personally ask them. They still were not able to answer us though, so we just came back to our room and then they messaged us that it's no longer working. We used our own netflix account.
Kitchen/Foods: 6/10 They have menu in their rooms where you can order foods and have it delivered to you for your convenience BUT when we tried to message the number indicated, they said they're away and no one will cook.
AC: 10/10
Toilet&Bath: 9/10
Smell: 8/10
Lights: 6/10 Had to plug in the lampshade and to leave the bathroom lights open because the main light was so dim.
Overall for Room 4: 8/10. When we arrived, the floor was wet, no slippers provided, just two towels and sachets of shampoos and soap. There's a fridge with drinks that will be charged to you if you consume.
Pool: 9/10 view was great, pool's a little bit small and only 3ft deep
Parking space: 2/10 their main parking space could only fit 2 cars.

We definetly recoomend staying here when you go to White Beach. The Resort is located at the southside of the bay, away from the noisy beach bars. We stayed in room 10. The highest located room with a big shared sun deck overlooking the whole bay. Just like previous travellers here we definelty recommend this room. It was nice and clean. The owner Sid made our stay very smooth. Also good to mention is the fact that there is a night guard who was so nice and friendly everytime we came back from late night dinner and drinks.
Sid we are sorry we never got to get to drinking the beers together. It was very nice to meet your wife on our last day and hopefully we will run into eachother again somewhere on the planet.
Best regards, Martijn & Malin

Stayed for 2 nights.
The location was perfect for us - at the end of White Beach, away from most of the weekend crowds and evening noise, but still close enough to walk to the cheaper restaurants. It was also close to the rocks towards Tamaraw beach if you want to explore. Also, the beachfront was really nice. Drinks can be ordered from the restaurant right next to the hotel.
Can't say enough kind words for Ace. She was very friendly, and accommodating and made sure we were having a good time.
It was a rocky start to our weekend though, because the Manager wanted us to change rooms for the 2 nights that we were going to stay. We refused the offer of upgrading us to the VIP room for the first night, because we really didn't want the inconvenience of moving all our things only for 2 nights. So we requested to be given a room that would be available for both nights. This seemed to be an unreasonable request to the manager who was very SNARKY and short-tempered and obviously irritated at us. Her attitude simply was not acceptable; especially because we booked directly with the property and it was their online booking system that had problems. I just refused to confront her because I didn't want to start our birthday weekend on a low note. Also, typically, it would be the guests who have arrived earlier that would be accommodated, but it seemed like they were prioritizing the booking of the guests who were still arriving the following day. (If she asked nicely too, we would probably have considered.)
We were eventually given a room that we paid for, but we were given a room with the view of a wall, and not the view of the sea (which is what we paid extra for). Also the room was very smelly - which we were told by the staff was because of the plumbing at the back of our room and the smell was sucked in our room by the AC. We were not informed of this while we were checking in and requesting for the room. They didn't seem to do anything about it, so I just asked for glade and sprayed the room constantly. (Was this payback for not agreeing to move rooms?)
There were at least two cockroaches in our room and 1 giant spider that we asked the guy on duty to kill for us.
Bed was comfortable enough; TV was working; AC was not too cold, but the fan helped. We used our own blanket though because the blanket provided had a smell (like it wasn't dried properly) and they couldn't provide a replacement blanket.
Overall it was an ok stay. If we were given a room that didn't smell, and were treated nicely by the Manager, I would've given them 5 stars. It was disappointing that we didn't experience the hospitality from the owners and manager that we read about in other guests' reviews. Ace was this hotel's saving grace.
And the stairs were really steep as advertised, but nothing we couldn't handle.:)

Hubby and I are travelling with our adult boys and girlfriend and decided to leave Manila and head to Puerto Galera a day earlier than previously planned. On the way to PG, I came across Playa Blanca Beach Resort on bookings.com and booked it as they had rooms for 5. I am so happy that we did, as this place is paradise. The room came with a double bed and a queen bed and they provided a mattress for adult single son. Rooms are very clean, air con in some rooms and bathrooms very modern compared to other places we have stayed. The hotel is set higher than other hotels in the area and you have uninterrupted views of all of white beach from your room and from the resort pool. Sid the owner and the lovely ladies at the desk made us feel very welcome from arrival. Sid the piano man (he'll love you calling him this) worked very hard to build this place (finished in May)and from the beach, it is the most modern looking hotel on white beach. Sid went out of his way to book a jeepney to our next accommodation (that was previously booked in sabang for 3 nights) at a great price and also became Dr Sid when my son ripped off his toe nail on a rock, Sid has many talents! I wish now that I had booked playa Blanca beach resort for our full stay in PG. White beach is very beautiful, the beach was clean (the locals took our rubbish with them after purchasing their ice creams) and there are so many water sport options to enjoy. We hired 4 jet skis for php1000 each for 30 minutes. They were so much fun! We spent the rest of the day swimming in the water (gentle to no waves, suitable for young kids) and enjoying the local food before heading to our accommodation in Sabang. The night before we enjoyed the nightlife white beach offers, fire dancing on the beach, good cheap cocktails and lots of marinated meat on skewers cooked over charcoals. The atmosphere was awesome and loads of fun was had. Overall, I would not hesitate coming back to Playa Blanca beach resort and White Beach, it really has made our holiday memorable.

Stayed at Playa Blanca for 2 nights and was very happy with the room and service. Built into a hill so the view from the balcony is stunning. Food from the restaurant was great. Dive shop below rents scuba gear and jetski etc. Plenty of options for water sports and island hopping tours available. Nightly entertainment a short stroll on the beach to the bars on white beach. ATM access is limited so carry some extra cash.

Playa blanca is the best place to stay if you want a budget friendly accommodation. Very efficient and superb service offered by Sid Fathi. He had been consistent in helping us and making our trip best so far. We'll surely come back!
