Detailed Reviews
This resort is right across the beach. The accomodations are very basic and clean. The food is reasonably priced. We got a good rate for the cottage we stayed in, originally priced at 800, it was lowered to 600 since we visited during the off peak system. Paradise is close to the other resorts in puraran like puraran surf.

my first ever RoRo(Roll On Roll Off ) boat ride with my travel buddy and my motorcyle...The ride itself to the place was exciting as adventure presented itself when we got lost after making a wrong turn and took us to Pandan,Catanduanes so that means another 45 minute drive to Virac Catanduanes. It was worth the ride though, lots of scenic views along the way and nature.Ahhh, the fresh scent of the after rain made all the difference, the lush greenery.Another 1 hour or so from Virac to Puraran,Beach Resort,we reached our destination, despite not making bookings on purpose because we chose to come where less tourist season is concerned, the resort found us a cottage at a bargain. It was cozy, simple, running water, clean comfort room, electric fan(the cottage is cold enough to use the fan)queen-sized bed(for two).A well deserved rest we had.
In the morning the owner/manager prepared for us breakfast of coffee and fried rice, egg and sausage with tomatoes.Price just right. They also provide surf instructor if you wish to avail surfing lessons which we did and what we came for,700 pesos for the two of us for the one hour surfing lesson. We had fun.so much. The instructors were patient and amiable. For newbies,it was worth the trip!Hope to come back again this summer. There are more surfing spots to visit.
It is best to have your own vehicle to drive around the island.fees depend on the type of vehicle is charged for transporting from Tabaco port to Virac and vice versa.

We went in Caramoan, Camarines Sur for island hopping and decided to stay two nights in Cantanduanes. We transferred thru boat for 2,500 from Caramoan to Cantanduanes. We got lucky to meet a tricycle driver named Juvenal 09216538120 in Virac. He was very helpful for looking a place that has a wifi. We badly need it to check google map & find a hotel. He took us to Sea Breeze and helped us to find a motorbike for rent to go to Puraran Beach & go around the Island. He also guided us to Puraran, along the way he took us to Maribina Falls. It took us 3 hours because we did so many side track sight seeing hahah. According to the locals it only take 45-1hr drive only 😂 from Virac to Baras - Puraran. Supposedly, we will stay in Majestic but fully booked. So we ended staying at the neighborhood beach resort which is Pacific Surf Paradise for 800 for a night with towels only and nice mosquito net! No soap.
The location is just by the beach for people who does surfing. But when I walked at the shore I saw some broken glasses. Very bad.
We ate lobsters at Majestic, drink buko juice and beer for my partner!
Only few foreigners in the area!

One of the reasons why I went back to this place was because of the Catanduanes Reef Break. Last year we stayed at the first resort, this is family owned and there are three. With due respect to the first resort, they served good food despite the P100 price per meal. But at least the taste was good and accommodation was way better. For this year, we bought our meals at the Paradise Beach Resort and it sucked! The night before they cooked egg using used oil from fish and when I asked about it, the lady gave me an attitude and even blamed the kitchen staff. She was down right rude! Breakfast was also terrible, for P100 you only get three small pieces of tocino and one small slice of scrambled egg. Very poor serving! 2nd, the common bathroom was terrible. Very dirty and water was very weak. This is what I do not get about the beach resorts in Bicol, common rest rooms are dirty! Will I go back? Never!

Avoid if possible. 'Deluxe' room had no shower just a bucket, ant nest, sand on deck that we had to clean, no toilet paper, one towel, no cleaning or new sheets, no fridge, etc. Food at restaurant is poor and everywhere else closed. We hired a motorbike. They took it from us overnight and when we got it back the fuel tank, which was half full before, was now empty. We were recommended a place to go snorkelling and drove miles only to find there was nowhere to hire gear and no beach access. The final bill had sneaky add-ons. Better to pay as you go. We were told the price currently advertised on Asiatravel.com of PHP1160 per night was old and now PHP1500 per night. Because you are isolated and need a 5am ride back to the airport you are held hostage. The overall feeling is that this place is overpriced, lazy service and the people are untrustworthy and constantly trying to rip you off for extra pesos. Needs a new owner and better staff.

Stayed at Pacific Surfer's for 2 weeks and loved it. We had friends staying at resorts on either side, but Pacific Surfers was definitely the best.
We stayed in air-con room with TV but there are cheaper rooms. Talk to staff, they may give you a deal if staying more than a few days. Rooms are basic but have everything you need. The grounds are lovely with a nice open grassy space which gives the place a better feel than the others.
We ate at all 3 resorts and although they are all pretty similar in price, I think pacific surfers was tastier. In saying that, beers are really cold down at Majestic Resort (Eddie's) and it's also a really good place to sit and watch surf from in the arvo. I would definitely go there for a beer or two and maybe even a meal to mix it up, but stay at Pacifc Surfer.
The best thing about Pacific Surfers is the manager, Joseph. Champion guy. Super friendly, helpful and has good English. He's really happy and makes you feel very welcome. Joseph will help you with anything you need.
I totally recommend this place!
