We got there without a reservation but the lady owner was kind enough to accommodate us. The room was ordinary - 2 queen sized beds but there were only just 2 of us. The air-conditioning system worked well. The shower did not. There was a pail and a bucket in the bathroom. You have to ask for towels.
They provide you with 3 small bottles of drinking water a day.
They do not have a restaurant -- you have to ask the owner's cook to cook for you.
The beach is dirty. We had to walk a long way off to be able to swim in cleaner waters.
All throughout the afternoon, there were several families who rented huts and enjoying their vacation (apparently locals), but each hut had its own video and they were like duelling on who can sing loudest! If you want peace and quiet - go elsewhere.
The room accommodation was initially P2500K per night + P200 per head for the meals (which they didn't even bother to ask what we wanted, it was just served at dinner time). We were able to ask for a discount so we payed P4800 for 2 nights with 2 meals. Oh, and 3-in-1 coffee in the morning.
Not going back and do not recommend

I was invited by DepEd Catanduanes for a 3-day seminar and I was housed in this resort. At first, I did not find it interesting but later I realized that the place was a good venue for live-in seminars. There were big rooms for guests and dorms for seminar attendees. But what I like most was the beach especially in the morning! If you decide to stay, please don't forget to bring mosquito repelant lotions.

My family and I were in Catanduanes for business and vacation, this was supposed to be part of the vacation part. We decided to go to the beach. Please note that we didn't stay at the hotel.
The driver of the tricycle we hired recommended this beach because it had a long shallow part that was safe for the kids. My children enjoyed themselves immensely because it was low tide when we got there and there were plenty of tide pools to search for crabs and other shelled creatures.
As with other beaches I have visited in Catanduanes, there were plenty of seagrasses which I found disconcerting. While I am not used to it, the presence of seagrasses as well as huge starfish my kids saw added to the unspoiled nature of the place.
The beach was clean and the cottages also. There were plenty of videoke singing when we were there. Not my cup of tea but we just put up with it as the it was the sun, sand and sea we were after. It was also not crowded.
There was only 1 common shower room (for men and women) to wash the sand and sea out and only the comfort rooms to change in.
Beach entrance fees and cottage rental was cheap, it cost us less than 500 for our short stay. Our tricycle hire was 700 pesos round-trip from the hotel we stayed at.
Overall, Amenia is a decent beach to go to.

I arrived here as part of a motor tricycle day trip around Virac and surrounding areas. You pay to enter this gated monstrosity of concrete benches, loud music blasting from various areas and a narrow sand beach ruined by a concrete deck. There was no place to get anything to eat, just the usual snacks and soft drinks. Apparently you can stay here as well, why anybody would is beyond me. It is a place for young locals to bring food, play music and enjoy themselves, but as a Western tourist I found it quite horrible. Even my Filipina girlfriend couldn't wait to get out of the place. Give it a miss and find somewhere that hasn't been tainted.
