My family and I visited Hong Kong and stayed for a night. We had booked two separate rooms. The room was quite good enough but it was very small.
The location was excellent as it was very close to the MTR Causeway Bay Exit A and across from Times Square shopping center. Alan was very good and should be recognized for his friendly and welcoming service. We appreciated the welcome amenities and were recognized as IHG elite members. I am a Diamond elite member and my mom is a Platinum elite member. We also appreciated the complimentary room upgrade as well as the super fast complimentary WiFi. Though the breakfast could be improved. Thank you.

We stayed for 3 n nights, arrival was met with very helpful and courteous staff. Breakfast was placed at the door on time every morning. All phone calls to the reception were promptly answered. Bed is semi firm and very comfortable, bathroom small but very functional, there is even a small sofa in the room, very quiet, no noisy fridge or AC, cannot hear any other noise from outside. The only comment for improvement is the breakfast which is a bit bland.

I was staying there for three months while I was waiting for my new home to be settled. It is located right next to Times Square and close to anything you need daily. Sound proof from outside was amazing that you wouldn't hear anything from the street no matter how busy it was. The deal I had was excellent. Housekeeping came everyday to refresh the room and change everything once a week.
Great deal if you are planning to stay away from home for awhile.

We have a long term room at the Holiday Inn Express Causeway Bay and we highly recommend it for business and for pleasure (holiday). The location for a start is brilliant being on a quiet street right beside Times Square in Causeway Bay. You couldn't get more convenient with countless restaurants, shops and amenities nearby. The hotel itself is bright, modern and cheerful. Above all, the staff are most friendly, professional, efficient and helpful.
I would like to particularly mention Tracy Li, who is the Sales Manager. Her service is outstanding, and if you need to make a booking whether for corporate packages, business travel, or for holidaying - Tracy will do her utmost best to tailor-make everything to suit your stay. She has been a pillar of support for us and our needs - whether for our corporate account or for holiday stay.

The hotel offers the greatest value with its convenient location across from Time Square where the Causeway Bay MTR station is. Hysan Place, Lee Garden, Sogo department store , Victoria Park are all within walking distance along many choices of restaurants. Although the room size was small, the hotel was dated and the breakfast had very limited choices, the convenient location, the clean room, the excellent customer service and the adequate cost per night made this hotel a rare find. There were newer hotels with larger rooms, better breakfast in HK but their cost per night might be double and much more. The room was well insulated so no noise from next rooms was heard even when the TV was on. That is very rare nowadays when hotel room walls are ,most of the times, thin as paper. I did get a high floor room as requested. I stayed 6 nights around lunar new year and had a wonderful experience.

I don’t usually write comments; however, staying at the Holiday Inn Express is definitely my preferred choice. This is due to the convenient location, spacious and clean room, the 5-star front desk service (take care all of my needs) these all ensure I have a pleasant stay every day.
A big “thank you” to Alan. He helped me so much. For example, he arranged a very quick room change without any hassel. He helped me with the move, offered a dehumidifier for my needs, remembered my preference for collecting packages, and he provided excellent follow up to ensure the facilities of the room met my expectations. I really appreciated his first-class service.
Lewis is the intern at the front office, he remembered my needs and provided them without me asking. It is clear that excellent management have trained their staff extremely professionally.
Not only do I receive a warm greeting in the morning and evening, when they go the extra mile to provide service, it maintains the Holiday Inn Express standard at a very high level. I really appreciate their support and service as I can truly feel I am a valued guest.

The staff is quite friendly and can entertain your request like pick up breakfast yourself in early morning. The location is amazing and you can access to MTR in 2 minutes walk and many shop and restaurant nearby. However the room is a bit old and very wet in the building. Not sure why but it may need to be improved to avoid health issue. Perhaps they need to add some dehumidifier every floor?

When I registrated in the hotel I was surprised, there are no buffet breakfast. You can choose only 1 of 4 Chinese set in the menu, there is no continental breakfasts at all. Administrator offered us Starbucks 50 HKD cards for all days. Every day I had a choice: to buy a sandwich or a cup of tea. If I wanted a sandwich and tea, I should pay 100 HKD per person. Is it okay? I don't think so. It was frustrating, because usually when I book in HIE, I don't think about the breakfast, because there is a good breakfast inside. But not in Holiday Inn Express Causeway Bay. Well, about room. When I entered the room I feel a terrible moldy and damp smell. I asked for a room changed. The next room has the same smell. I've never been in so damp place. My clothes became a little wet, paper documents also were wet and in bad condition after. I just were praying for my leather shoes, because high humidity means mold. In room was terribly cold, air conditioning system works only for make room cold. Fortunately I got a small heater. But every day house keeper turned the air conditioning on again and again. When we were returning back we met a cold, wet and swamp-smelling room. Furniture, mirrors and plumbing were old, maybe from 90s, I cannot describe it in other words, that's not up-to-date hotel. Under the sheets I was found 2 black hairs, I felt sick afterwards: why is everything so bad? That's the worst hotel I ever visited.

We booked 2 connecting rooms at 29/F for my birthday staycation with friends. Rooms are small, furniture and toilet a bit dated , but overall room condition is clean and mattress is soft. Check in was smooth and housekeeping staff were polite and helpful. I will come back again.

It pains me to write this review as I'm usually not fussy.
First, the positive thing about this property: the location. You're smack right in the middle of times square with excellent connectivity to airport and attractions thanks to the causeway bay mrt just a few minutes away by foot.
You've got malls, restaurants, shops everywhere and it feels very authentic.
We booked this hotel for a total of 2 nights as part of a multi-country trip in asia (we stayed exclusively in IHG properties). Check in was polite, professional.
For the most part of our stay the lobby was full of luggage. I can imagine they have a lot of tour groups staying–it was literally everywhere.
You get some nice vouchers for discounts on coffee and breakfast at the nearby cafe or you can have breakfast in the hotel. Breakfast is operated by a third party and serves you a set meal (no seconds). It tasted ok but this must have been the worst offers of a holiday inn express–a buffet meal service would've been preferred.
Now to the negative part of this property: It smelled so bad! The floor we were in smelled mouldy which extended to the rooms, we could barely breathe. Carpets and humidity DO NOT mix well.
It was so bad I couldn't even bring myself to walk barefoot in the carpet in the room.
The layout of the toilet was also quite weird where there's only one door that closes the bathroom but if you need to go to the toilet the bathroom stays open.
One positive was that the room was very spacious! For Hong Kong quite impressive.
Hong Kong hotels tend to either be very expensive and great or budget. There's not much in the middle.
Looking back, I guess I would've paid more to get a better hotel instead of having to fret going back to a mouldy room after an exhausting day of sightseeing.
I would choose another hotel when in Hong Kong.
