We travelled here around December, as usual hotel bookings are already full. My mom, and 2 siblings were in a room with 2 beds, and a bathroom. Sleeping was ok. The bed was spacious enough for 2 people to share.

Staff and reception was great. She was very accommodating and very helpful. She even offered that the next we book, we should not go through Agoda, or other 3rd party and go directly to her so that she can give better prices for their rooms.

I think this is a low-end hotel. The lobby of the building were full of asian/indian shopping centers. But the general location of the hotel is very much accessible to all Hong Kong tourist attractions.

TIP:
If you are Filipino (because I am), there is a money exchange window katapat ng elevator to this hotel. Talk to her and explain that you are Pinoy and that you are looking where to buy tickets to Disneyland, Ocean Park, Ngong Ping and others - she will give discounts to Filipinos :)

The staff were very kind to accommodate us earlier than the expected time of check-in. They were also swift with their service and very good at keeping our rooms tidy. We were always greeted with a clean and organized room after being out the whole day. If you are a backpacker that wants quality sleep in Hong Kong, this place is for you! :)

Informed the staff that we would arrive in the late night (around 12am) due to the flight time, we were informed that the room will be reserved for late arrival. Arrived at the hotel around 12.30am and the staff complained that we were late and NO DOUBLE BED ROOM WAS AVAILABLE. They arranged a SINGLE BED ROOM for us, the room was incredibly small and full of cigarette smell and the bedsheets and blankets were stink. Someone even tried to open our room door with keys in the midnight!! The area of the guest house was unsafe. We booked the hotel for 3 nights but we left the next day early in the morning.

First night we had room of less than 6 sqm without window for 2 people.
Next 2 days we've got a bigger room. Very basic hotel and too expensive for what you get.
After few hours you get crazy of sales people in the entrance of chunking Mansion. Very crowdy but safely

We booked the hotel month before our trip. We arrive there at around 11 am which I think is very reasonable time for checking in. Unfortunately, the owner informed us that they don't have an available triple room which we have reserved. So she transferred us to one single room for me and one double room for my friends. What is horrible, the double room she told us was still occupied by a couple and we have to wait for them to check out. So my two colleagues ended up placing all their baggage on the hallway. I can't offer my room either because honestly it's very small. My room has a bed with a thick unfolded blanket on it and the bathroom does not even have tissue but all rust. We already have a destination so my friends ended up entering their room only after we're done with our day activity. When we got back to the hotel, the owner asked us for our full payment which is unusual because it was still our first night there. We only paid half as we are also very careful not to end up with no option. We asked her why we're not having the triple room which we were expecting and she started to get mad. She was explaining that the room she gave us was a lot nicer than what we booked. After 2 nights she transferred us to our triple room. Hoolah! I thought the rooms we had at first was better but it was the opposite. The room was small but it was not dark and you don't hear your neighbor watching their TV. Then she insisted on the full payment as if we're going to run away (by the way we have big luggages because we just came from another country and were all ladies). We understand that we booked a hotel in Chunking which we have already assumed would looked like this but we never thought that kind of hospitality they have. The whole stay we have there was like the owner was waiting for us to leave (but note we already paid in full). What's more irritating was when I got home, I happened to receive an email from the hotel that our booking fee was reduced. Due to slow Wifi I was not able to read that email back when we were still there. But at least the owner should have informed us that it was reduced when she keeps on insisting about our full payment. So if you're planning to book this hotel, make sure to get the room you reserved so at least the price will be worth it and don't forget to check your emails cause you might miss out their surprise deals. 😉 By the way, the helper is very kind. 👍🏻

Beverly Guest House is a cheap, clean, and friendly guest house. If you already understand what you are in for by staying in Chungking Mansion, then I'd recommend this place. I spent over a week here and it was reasonable.
Quickly on Chungking Mansion: it has a great location in Kowloon and is packed full of cheap guest houses .... BUT be aware. The rooms are very very small, the elevators are slow, it is a hive of activity and can be noisy, the building is a maze, and you will not have a view (if you are lucky enough to have a window). Merchants from various developing countries come and stay at Chungking, making their way to middle class by buying and selling goods. There are so many cultures here that is seems like a mini version of the United Nations. This is all acceptable in my books, because the rooms are cheap and the location is fantastically close to everything good in Kowloon.

Neat and clean room. Only problem was that the TV had too few channels that too mostly Chinese channels.

Since three of us shared the room it was economical. The staff was friendly. Overall I am satisfied with this hotel.

Pro's. central location, friendly staff/owner (ms may), budget friendly, clean room, clean everyday by the staff, good air-cond with fan, near MTR & public bus stop. 5 mins walk to Avenue of Star. I love the room No 4.
Con's. It's not guest house fault, long queue for the lift up. be aware that Chungking Mansion very crowded with a lot of foreigner at ground floor.

This place is in very convenience location near MTR. Room is clean but the bathroom wasn't that nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only bad side is you have to wait long for a lift to come. Overall it's a great hotel for this price range.

I stayed in two separate rooms of the Beverly Guest House (was switched from a 3 person to a 2 person room) in December 2014, neither had a safe. It's probably 'safe' to assume that none of the rooms have a safe (sorry, the pun was too tempting to pass up). The managers however were polite, if you email them they may have a solution.
