One of the best hotels in the world. Grand lobby - very well maintained and decorated. Check in - very efficient and personalized. Staff - courteous, friendly and helpful. Elevators - clean, well maintained convenient. Bathrooms - large, very clean and a well stocked mini bar. Very large beds with memory efficient mattresses and pillows. Also I would like to thank the Concierge team , especially Ted and Steven . I appreciate Ted took the initiation to assist my father on parking, took care of his heavy belongings as well as seated him comfortably with a drink. I am grateful for his hospitality. And Steven also provide a good customer services, he help to take my suitcase to the car and use every opportunity to recommend the hotel's equipment to me . .It is hard to find words to express my gratitude. Overall, I had a highly satisfied and unforgettable stay at your hotel. I would definitely be coming back for another wonderful experience again. Thanks to the whole team!

First time staying with Alva and a very warm welcome from the front desk staffs especially their team lead Ms Louisa H. She was friendly, professional and proactive. The room was superb with a stunning view. Gym and swimming pool at the rooftop were also amazing. I am happy to spend a day in the hotel for relaxing, Highly recommended!! C.Y

We have stayed at the Alva 4 times in the last year and our experience is better each time. The rooms are very clean, sleek and comfortable. We love the coffee machine in the room and the carafe provided so you can refill with filtered water from the machine in the hall, saving oodles of plastic bottles. The free bikes are fabulous and have meant we've explored Tolo Harbour, Ma On Shan, Tai Mei Tuk and the Tai Po Market, all on bike paths. We've also walked sections of the Macklehose and Wilson Trails as it is a 15 minute walk to the access for these. Once, we walked out of the hotel with our packs after check out and walked to Sai Kung over the hills for a late lunch. We've enjoyed the rooftop pool, the outdoor terrace on the 3rd floor, the lovely top floor Japanese restaurant, Pit Stop for Happy Hour drinks and the snacks from the small Yata supermarket downstairs. The staff have been wonderful every time. Eunice in reservations and Alfred, one of the managers, have been especially kind and helpful when helping us make reservations. And, on top of everything else, it is great value.

I was celebrating my wife's birthday at this hotel and this was my first experience with this hotel. I spent a Friday night at the hotel with breakfast included for the other morning. The design of the hotel looks great and the facilities are superb and new. The room is clean and tidy with free beverages in the fridge on the first round. The location of the hotel is nice with a quiet neighborhood. Worth to mention the shower is one of the best I have came across in Hong Kong. Special thanks to Mr Sammy Yip who had given us first class hospitality and service throughout our stay.

Bad customer service. Nagative experience. Not a kids friendly hotel. Inconsistent service. We first booked the hotel for 28nights, planned to stay for another month. However, a few unpleasant experience we have encountered and put us off. 1. Inconsistent pool service. Water toys was allowed on the first few days, and then was banned after a few days. Kids got told off for playing with toys, instead of being asked nicely. Lifeguard sitting in the corner, instead of monitoring of the safety of guests. My kid was not aware and went further down to the pool where he cant stand. I had to run across on ground to help him. I truely believe i have the responsible to take care of my kid, however, the lifeguard was not even aware of the event and remain in his corner. Which i'm very shocked and worried. (happened on 29th May) 2. We were enjoying ourself at the pool, suddenly a non-uniform staff approched us, checking on our personal details, without introducing herself. Which completely ruined our mood. (happened on 7th June) 3. DND mode was on, front desk phone call received at 11:45pm in the evening said the floor downstairs were complaining about the noise we created. We have only reached to the room around 10 mins ago. We were not doing anything excessive, but just to enter the room and prepare to go to bed. (happened on 16th June) 4. Front desk staff called and said they have witness a non-registered guest used hotel pool facility. And security have monitor we have picked her up from the hotel lobby. (To clarify, this "non-register guest have checked in and registered.) Why was this not checked while we enter the pool, but to monitor via cctv after we left. This is very offensive like we are some kind of criminal to the hotel. I have paid 30k for my stay plus an additional 7rooms from my friends who have checked in during my stay. (happened on 9th June) I will not recommend anyone to stay especially those with kids. As this is a complete non-kid friendly hotel.
