Conveniently located close to MTR station with a beautiful view and helpful staff. I like this hotel as it is very clean and away from the city noise. I would recommend this hotel to any one who is looking for a quiet and peaceful place for both business and leasure travellers .
We have a big family and we stayed in two bedroom suites. We asked for the rooms to be close and the second room to have an extra bed. The rooms were close and in a lovely view to the Tolo harbour. Location is definitely way of convenient and fast located as well as next to the station. Vibe is sometimes resort feel because hills and sea are surround you that is like a paradise. We used twice at the Chinese Restaurant Sha Tin 18 in the evenings. Anybody who says that there is a lack of choice is mad. The food never got boring. There was everything from Peking Duck to Canton cuisine, and just about anything in between. You get the wonderful waiter, who gets to know your preference. At the café, every meal from breakfast through to dinner was perfect. We spent a lot of our time swimming and playing with kids at playground which was really superb. We used the adult pool a fair bit. You literally have to do nothing. Staff would always come up and ask if you wanted any assistance, it was a great place to spend a lazy day. We used the playground which was good fun too. We attended cocktail session at 25th floor with a great view which was chill with good atmosphere. The staff are all fantastic and can’t do enough for you. Thanks Ophelia and Ken at the club lounge who are top-notch staff wholeheartedly serving us. Moreover, we would like to thank Phyllis, the FD manager, who made a very special effort for our special occasion – great arrangement and communication with her precedingly. She was kind and helpful throughout our several stays in August 2022. A touch of summer splash at relatively affordable prices and great for families. Can’t recommend highly enough.…
I always try to stay here at least one night during my visit in Hong Kong every time. The service has always been exceptional. Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s not common to have a bathtub in hotel rooms and their rooms always have a tub and shower. Perfect to unwind with a bath or even just a soak of the feet after a long day of walking.
Excellent hotel with an excellent location located beside the university, extremely clean & comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. We thank the wonderful staff, especially Rose Tse from the bakery shop, Steve Lo and Laura from Regency Club, and all the cleaning ladies (including 菊).
5 stars standard hotel is not exactly what you expected even though you are willing to pay for higher rate to have Tolo Harbour View. The pillows and beddings are not cleaned enough and the facilities are old, shower drainage is slightly blocked. ........ Totally disappointed.
I choose the hotel whenever I am in Hong Kong. It always maintains high quality services in terms of room cleanliness and food production. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is my home away from home. I must congratulate the Regency Club Manager, Mr Kan for his good leadership.
The Room rate was good, the location is not great, there is not much close by, you need to catch a train or cab. The food and beverage was exorbitant. The resturant the ‘Cafe’ is not A la cart, its a buffet is US$85, other wise room service which is pretty basic but you are looking at US$40 a meal. I prepaid for accomodiation and breakfast up front for eight nights, they wanted a US$600 deposit when I checked in for incidentals, fine. However when I went to check out they wouldnt refund it until the inspected the room ‘for damage’ !
The Hotel is located a bit out side of the city, but very comfortable close on the main MTR line, just 2 minutes walking distance away. Surrounded by green and ocean it is a perfect start point for exercise like cycling or running. It is a quiet Hotel with very friendly supporting staff.
Hyatt Regency Shatin is a pleasant hotel for staycation. The hotel was very spacious (in Hong Kong/Asia standard), and they treated Hyatt Globalist fairly well with suite upgrades on both my stays. The highlight is the lovely fitness center, which is spacious and featuring many cardio and weight machines. The lounge is honestly disappointing, compared to other Hyatt properties in the city. Of course it is unfair to compare it with Grand Hyatt but even comparing with Hyatt Centric North Point and Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui, both their breakfasts and evening cocktail hours failed. Other than serving its signature apple pie one evening, the rest of my food experiences is forgettable. In terms of the actual interaction with staffs, my experiences are mostly mixed especially there are plenty of staffs that are newly hired. I felt some of the interactions to be robotic and lack of real care to guests. Other than those few shortcomings, the new MTR East Rail line allows simple connections to all major parts of the city. If you like a quieter environment or a more quiet space to relax in the evenings but maintaining easier connection to the more busy part of the cities, Hyatt Shatin is a good spot maintaining convenient connection to the city and a pleasant green environment. I have no issues to come back again but hopefully the catering aspect of the lounge can be addressed.…
A great business hotel with many facilities including gym, spa, swimming pool and restaurants. The 1 King bed harbor view room is spacious. Room amenities are sufficient. Would be better if streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube...etc. are available. A short walking distance to University MTR station. Very convenient to visit the city.
