Room is small but bigger than i imagined, luggage can be put under beds. Things are not new, but clean enough and the host provided enough things to use (boiler, glasses, hair dryers, spoons, towels etc). Rooms were clean everyday. Location is good, at the heart of city and shopping centres, metro, close to dining places.

Once you get over the appearance of chunking mansions, and you get to the guesthouse, it will be a good stay. The room was clean, not much noise (floor 17) and the owner of the place was very nice and welcoming. Probably not the place for a romantic getaway, but for the crazy prices in Hong Kong it was ok. And compared to another hotel in Mirador mansions, this beds were bigger

My experience of accommodation in Chungking Mansions isn't vast but from what I've learned the Super is probably better than most.
My room was a fair size, with two beds. The bathroom was a decent size, too. It had a small bath to shower in.
Both bedroom and bathroom had windows looking on to Nathan Road. It is of course bright and noisy, but that didn't bother me.
The guest house is very secure and feels very safe, and the owners are extremely friendly.
There is good wifi available, included in the price.
You obviously need to do some research on Chungking Mansions first before booking, but if you decide to stay there the Super could be a good choice. I'm sure it's not the cheapest but it was very comfortable and I would return without hesitation.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights in December 2012. We had heard mixed things about Chung King mansions on the internet, and arrived without a prior reservation (not advisable) We walked on foot throught Chung King, and the prices were extortionate for the room quality, upwards of 500 HKD per night for a double room, thats if they had room, many were fully booked. We stumbled upon the super guest house ( which is actually on the 12th floor, the managers office is on 17) and the maid was amazingly helpful, but we couldn't barter with her since she was not the manager and spoke very little English - find Mr Chang if you're up for bartering, and needed a room. This was 350 HKD per night for what looked like actually a 3 person room (room 6), having a double and single bed.
The room itself was incredibly clean and tidy, and quite spacious in comparison with the other Chung King mansion rooms. The sheets and towels were changed daily which was great, we had a window, shower with great hot water, new soaps each day and the place smelled freshly cleaned each time we arrived back in the evening.
Chung King mansions itself has some issues - the lift queue can sometimes take 10 minutes so if you are on floor 12 this can be time consuming.. Exiting and entering the building you will probably be hassled to buy fake rolexes, watches and wallets, for massages and by tailors wanting to make you suits. This seems to only happen in the vicinity of Nathan road. However for budget travellers this is a great location, 2 -5 minute walk to the Star Ferry port, Avenue of Stars/Symphony of Lights, Kowloon park and with a metro literally around the corner on the next road.

However I recommend highly that if you are going to stay in Chung King, you look up the super guest house first!

Very nice for Hong Kong (Hong Kong lodging is always a bit lower than the rest of the region). Very nice Shanghainese couple runs it, so Mandarin speakers can enjoy some extra fun. Great location!

A fair warning, Cheung King mansion 重庆大厦 (the building it is in) is super dodgy/sketchy. It looks scary, but you will be safe in this guesthouse!
