I booked the deluxe single room and the room and bathroom was clean. Staff was also friendly. Hotel location was close to Star Ferry Pier, subway stations, shopping and restaurants. It was a great choice for a budget hotel.

Booked family room and get 4 beds. Really close with MTR. We stay here because it really close with the fery terminal. We want to go to macau next day. So after drop lugage to the room we purchase macau fery ticket for the next day. It only takes 5 minutes walk to fery gate through MTR tunnel. So easy.

Room is clean. Bed and linen is good. Room is small but we can accept that.

Location is great. Like 10 steps away from Sheung Wan tube.

Walking distance to several cool streets, local markets and trendy areas. Near Lan Kwai Fong too, if you're not tired of it yet.

Staff is nice and amicable. Rooms are small, but it's Central. You know that. Bathroom is quite big compared to sleeping area. Its funny, but good.

We had an incident of fire in some floor and the fireman were there in like two minutes. Everyone handled the situation perfectly and no issues happened.

I would definitely recommend this place. Great value for your money.

The reception at night is very rude. I told him to come to check AC in the room and which is not cold even put the temp at 16c on the remote. He still said it's cold but even the hotel lobby is colder. I'm asking about how the hotel can responsible on this situation coz they do not changing room for me, and I have to pay full price and sleep with broken AC? He just walked away and said "f-ck" then get in the elevator.

As indicated by others, the hotel sign is immediately visible on the right upon exiting the Sheung Wan MTR exit A2. If you miss the sign, it is just beyond the 7/11 on the corner. Many Chinese and Western restaurants abound on and near Wing Lok Street, so easy access to dinner is never a problem. We enjoyed a small, inexpensive restaurant named Vinegar a short distance from the hotel exit (left) about a block and a half down the street. Other choices abound. All of the ferry docks are within 15 to 20 minutes walking distance. The hotel desk clerk can guide you. The rooms are small, but are clean, bright (except for the bathroom) and quiet. An air conditioner, hair dryer, flat screen TV, extension cord with multi-plug style inputs, coffee pot, coffee, bottled water, soap, towels and toothbrush are provided. Everyone working here has been pleasant and helpful. We would stay again.

Really tiny. It can easily compete with capsule hotels in Japan. The bathroom alone has more floor space than my bedroom. For solo travelers only. It is clean, comfortable and very functional for a budget stay in Hong Kong. The room has a TV with a few channels only (8 and only 1 in English), aircon, kettle, hairdryer and a safe. They provide disposable slippers, water, toothbrush, coffee and tea. The shower heads could use some cleaning as deposits restrict proper water flow. The internet access through hotel's WiFi is abysmally slow to the point that it's almost unusable except email.

For the attention of management at the homy hotel. Myself and my boyfriend stayed in the homy hotel in sheung wan for 3 nights from 6th-9th November under the booking Megan Redmond.
We pre booked this months ago and paid on booking. On our last night (8th November) we were awoken at 3am to men next door to us on level 2 (we were room 204) screaming, shouting, fighting , playing music and general drunken behavior. This continued on for 2 hours and we could not sleep. We were extremely frustrated as we had to be up early for a long flight.
At 7am we opened the door of our room to leave with our luggage to find a man asleep outside our door in his underway and urine all over the floor around the lift.
We then called reception staff to wake the man so we could leave.
I find this is extremely unacceptable behavior from a hotel when we are paying good money. I would accept this behavior from a hostel but not from a hotel that has 24 hour reception staff that should have dealt with this behavior when the men returned to the hotel.
I would like to be refunded please for 1 night stay on 8th November as our stay in Hong Kong and in the homy hotel was not pleasant

First night, the air conditioner over the table where my laptop was dripped on and ruined it. Homey Hotel said the would do right by me but apparently you cannot trust the management of this hotel so I can not recommend this hotel.

For about USD90 a night for family room with two double beds, this is very good value. The room is considered quite big with space for luggage and walking, the shower area and toilet is also spacious. WiFi is good. Excellent location near Sheung Wan MTR station, Macau ferry terminal, ding ding (tram) stop, Hoi On Cafe and Jenny Bakery is walking distance. There is also a 7-eleven at the corner.

On the positive side, the location was very handy and close to transport as well as some great areas to explore on foot. The room was clean and tidy and shower had good pressure. Affordable and convenient accommodation.

On the negative side, the room was very small with hardly any space to put luggage for 4 people apart from on the floor which made it difficult to move around the room. Minimal bench and hanging space with cupboard door missing.
The 2 double beds were pushed up hard against each other so there was no way of getting into them without climbing over others. Needed a shelf overhead to place glasses, phones, TV remote etc when sleeping as the bedside table was difficult to reach from the beds if you were stuck in the middle.
The bathroom was tiny and no space to put toiletries, no hooks to hang clothes while showering.
The deodorising smell in the reception area was strong and a bit off-putting.
The room was very basic and adequate for coming back to after a day of exploring but not a space we wanted to spend any time in.

My wife and I had a small room with a double bed providing enough room for the two of us plus our tablets and other misc stuff. Your perception may be different, but it was great for us. Be aware of the tight quarters, but we were completely safe, the room was clean, the price was good, the staff was friendly and the location was perfect.
