This is an ideal place to stay. It's a little difficult to find the hotel, luckily the hotel receptionist was able to notify my taxi driver. There is a market nearby and some popular western restaurants

Small, not too fancy rooms where air is moist. All basic necessities ok and WiFi working properly. Could be closer to the metro station but not too bad. Easy check in. All good for 1-2 nights stay or low budget.

I stayed in the Bestay Temple of Heaven branch and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a hotel. The room is very small and the hotel front desk doesn’t speak English — that’s all fine, I wouldn’t expect more for a $24/night room. But the hotel reeked of smoke and there was visible water damage everywhere including in the rooms. In one place in the hall the ceiling had caved in. The WiFi in the rooms didn’t work. The bathrooms were dirty. I could not get out of this hotel fast enough. The only reason I didn’t give it one star is that it is really cheap — but I’d say spend a little extra money and go someplace where you can actually breathe.

This hotel is a comfortable, functional, affordable option when budget backpacking through Beijing. The room is small but it was clean and the bed was comfortable, the connecting bathroom was in need of a revamp but clean. The location was good, 15 min walk from metro station and closer again to the pearl market. Overall a good budget option.

The hotel is located close to the Temple of Heaven, but pretty far from the centre of Beijing. It takes about 30-40 minutes to get to Tiananmen Square or other centrally located places. The rooms are decently clean and basic amenities are provided. Wifi is also ok, not superfast or slow. Airconditioning works pretty well and you will definitely need it in the summer. The staff doesn't speak any English but has a translating device which makes communication doable. Near the reception there is also a store that is open most of the time. You can buy basic stuff like water, snacks and things like that.

Our room was small but clean. The staffs were friendly but they don't speak English however we managed to communicate. You'll walk 10-15min to get to the subway or the bus station is closer. I'd say it's good for budget trip.

Good location, good prices, best bed we had for a long time, clean and nice rooms. The staff was laidback but most communication went trough a translation app. We extended our stay there for a week or so. Tip: after dark there will be a guy in a 'booth' on the corner 50 meter right from hotels exit who sells supercheap, nice food!
