I had my wedding there at the pyramids hotel and it was spectacular... The staff was great, the decorations was perfect, the food was amazing and above all i didn't had to worry about any of the usual details they took care of everything I highly recommend for weddings the place is amazing
Hotel itself nice with lovely gardens and pool However customer service poor. Never had a working safe despite many complaints Were given a cabin in grounds with poor facilities Were treated like we were in a different hotel. When I queried drinks bill during what we we were told was a happy hour, we were told that was only for the main hotel The staff were miserable and unhelpful Despite my complaints they made us feel like a criminal when about to board the bus for non payment of one beer!!!
Located next to to the construction site of the new museum which appeared to be working day and night but in fairness did not inconvenience us at all, we had a great view of the pyramids from our balcony. We did find the WiFi a little flakey at times. The poolside bar had a more than adequate selection for lunch, it was well sheltered from the sun and the staff were both efficient and friendly. Most guests were all-inclusive, we weren't but were able to make use of the dining facilities in the main restaurant for dinner at a very reasonable LE450 approximately £20 per person, yet again as we found in all situations the staff were helpful and friendly. It is in a superb location for the Pyramids and will be even better when the Grand Egyptian Museum opens.
We stayed at the Steigenberger pyramid hotel in Cairo for a few nights and found the hotel experience unforgettable … firstly the view was amazing of the pyramids, rooms were clean and food at meal time very good. Some of the staff at times were helpful while some were cold and unhelpful towards British , especially while their native visitors wanted their service. On a good point , Management gave us a bottle of wine as a wedding anniversary gift which was appreciated The pool was nice but what we didn’t realise the neighbouring pyramids hotel could use it too . Odd , especially when they had their own. This made in quite busy and rowdy at times. The hotel is good but needs updating in places. The ending is not good though … we had a visitor at some point into our room and took 2 items of Mens clothing. The room door locks itself after leaving so a staff member with a card key entered and stole the items.. management at the hotel and HQ denied the staff were thief’s but someone in their staff is guilty.. in 20 years of travelling around the world have we had this happen before. Steigenberger will never have our pleasure ever again…
Although the hotel location is near the pyramids, it is at the end of a disused street as far as we could see, so you can't go for a stroll from the hotel. Once in the hotel, everything was really good - the food, the service, the comfortable rooms, the cleanliness. Couldn't fault it.
