I spent 3 nights at the Barcelona Pyramids Cairo in May 2022, and thought it was a good base. There was a bowl of fruit on arrival, and every day they supplied a 2ltr bottle of water and 2 X 1 litre of water. There an ATM in the lobby. The pyramids are a 20 minute drive, depending on traffic, and the Citadel in the North about 45 minutes The area is not attractive and there is major work going on immediately outside. There is no noise from this and less traffic noise. The hotel itself is slightly dated, but my room was very comfortable and clean. The pool on the 8th floor was excellent in full sun from about 08.00 until 17.00. I had an excellent meal in the Horus restaurant, with great views of the pyramids in the distance, and another one in the Sphinx buffet . Breakfast was buffet style, plenty of choice but the same every day. The staff were very polite and helpful, and the whole stay was very pleasant.…

We booked a superior room and when arrived at 11 pm because our flight to Cairo got delayed, they gave us a room which was looking completely different from what we booked, it was really really small, with a tiny window, looking really old but the main problem was that it was SUPER DIRTY. There were hair from other people on the bed, the toilet was dirty and the bathroom floor looked like no one cleaned in there for 3 years. We asked to change our room and they have us a room which was slightly bigger and still not perfectly clean but we accepted it. We were in bed to try to sleep, but a horrible constant noise was not allowing us to fall asleep. We called reception and no one answered. I went downstairs and I communicated the issue and in a really unfriendly way they told me it was the noise from the street. I said no, and then they send someone to check the noise. Of course it was not from the street and there was no way to stop that noise, so they changed us again to another room. The 3rd room was completely different, the furniture was not so old, and it was more or less looking like the photos we saw online. Still it was not perfectly clean and the fridge was making a lot of noise (so we unplugged it). In general the service was 0 helpful when trying to book a taxi or asking for recommendations. The breakfast was not good. If you are booking this hotel to make sure that you get European standards when going to a hotel, this should not be your option.…
it is a lovely hotel. a bit old but they try to keep it in a good condition. I stayed 10 nights in March. I had to change rooms though because first one i booked was Junior Suite with a pyramid view but in reality it wasn't so i asked to downgrade me and got pretty good room 430. there was a toilet problem but they fixed it immediately after i asked. Hotel stuff is amazing! This is a big bonus to choose this hotel to stay. They work hard to make our stay happy. I thank all for that. Reception, dining, guest support, cleaners all do they best. There are occasional hiccups but i think that fair prices reflect on a fact that it is not 5* hotel. My special big thank you for Rania Ibrahim. She was so supportive and helpful, so professional and genuine that she became my representative while i was there and just because of her my experience with hotel became good rather than average. After a while i actually felt home in this hotel. i will stay again in the future.…
Very welcoming, amazing staff and super helpful. Enjoyed out stay. And Rania was the best! Would definitely return. Was great when helping with tourist options, and gave the best experience possible, will be back!
