Neighborhood
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighborhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighborhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighborhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.

My family stayed 6 nights with Metro. I didn’t book direct, although if you do you get a few extra perks - like breakfast and you can reclaim the taxes. We arrived 45 mins before allowed check-in (3pm) but wasn’t an issue. Our room was delightful - clean, roomy, temp was to

This is the second time that we have stayed in this hotel and I must say it was even better than the last time. Back in 2017, we truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and coming back, we have enjoyed it even more. Customer service is flawless as everyone is very accommodating

My wife and I and another couple stayed at Metro. It was extremely convenient and easy to navigate. On the ground floor you have entrances to Starbucks on one side and 7/11 from the other. This was brilliant. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Our tour to the DMZ was able

Do you have a parking lot for rental cars? Or is there a parking facility near by?
I am not aware of any parking around Metro Hotel. It is very unwise to have a car around this area anyway. The hotel area is very congested with narrow roads. There are two main roads as well. Underground train network can take you to anywhere in Soul and is very good. There is an underground train station within 5 min of walk from Metro Hotel

I cannot remember where KEB bank is. However IBIS is definitely very close to the Metro Hotel. As someone said, it is within walking distance around 5 to 7min even with luggage. The area is crowded with pedestrians. The bus stop is on the same side as the hotel. There is no need to cross the road.
