This hotel is centrally located near the Euljiro 3 subway exit 2. A 7 Eleven is just next to the hotel that makes it more convenient. The hotel front desk staff and housekeeping are notably courteous and knowledgeable. The front desk can speak good English which makes it easy for English speaking guests to ask for help and directions. The room we got for 3 beds was just right for me and my nieces. We tried the breakfast buffet and it was okay for the price we paid at 13,200 won each.
Thank you Staz for our 6 days 5 nights stay at your hotel.

The Staz Hotel in MyeongDong 1 is the best hotel I have stayed at in Seoul. This beats every other Airbnb we have stayed at. The staff was helpful and amazingly warm in their greetings. The room was clean and very aesthetic. Near a lot of the good places like MyeongDong and Dongdaemun. I highly recommend this place, and I will definitely stay here for future trips.

The hotel counter 's English is good, and it's so convenient that a 7-11 store is near its lobby. Althohgh its room is a little small, but the Cost-performance ratio is good. It's location is good that it is near Euljiro 3(sam)ga station.

Firstly, the positives - price was really reasonable; super convenient 7/11 downstairs; almost walking distance to all the action in Myeongdong; nearby to subway station; a few good eateries nearby; decent laundry facilities in the basement; provision of hot and cold water/ice on our floor and very good room room cleaning service each day. The negatives - the rooms were not great. Bathroom was really average. Very dark in the shower. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable, couldn't control the temperature in our rooms (so hot in winter, that we had to open the windows for long periods of time to cool the room down); neighbourhood was a little dodgy with lots of bars and plenty of late night drinking and smoking going on; room facing the front of the hotel was super noisy. The worst bit being the business across the road which from early morning, had Fur Elise being played over and over again like a music box - really, really annoying! I asked 2 different staff on different occasions about the room temperature, only to be told there was nothing they could do about it as the hotel was in "winter mode". Also told that extra pillows would cost money ... ouch. Wouldn't recommend this hotel for families with younger kids, or kids in general really. Probably won't come back here, sorry.

Spent only 1 night, at smallest room, but didn't regret. Arrive 11am, allow to check in early. Small room but with complete necessity, certain extend better then other 3 star hotel. 7Eleven in hotel area, so convenient, and easy access to nearby attraction and transportation. Staff very helpful and can speak English. Good hotel value for money.

the name " sutton hotel" is exactly the same with another much better looking "sutton hotel". central ac..so even you feel super hot, you only got HEATER. And then the staff, not friendly at all, they just asked you to open the window and gave me the " can't help" attitude without even apologizing. The room is super small..the terrace..the bath tube..just for decorative purpose. we stayed at Hotel QB for 4days and in terms of hospitality, the staff was way more helpful and the room is cozy and nice. Im writing this while sitting in this room. Gosh , and the location is bad the wifi is slow. Bad hotel, looking desperately for another one

Many of you will wonder which stop to alight if you take bus 6015 from Incheon airport to this hotel. It's kind of complicated because there is staz myeongdong 1,2,3. The best stop to alight is euljiro 2( right infront of pine avenue ) It's the nearest to staz myeongdong 1. Don't bother asking the bus driver because they will ask you to alight at Tmark hotel stop, which is actually close to staz myeongdong 2. My husband and I had a hard time finding because we alighted there, and we were directed all the way to staz myeongdong 2 then realised we were wrong. Had to check with the counter staff at staz myeongdong 2 for directions to staz myeongdong 1. Very tedious. If you alight at euljiro 2, the walk is around 5-10 mins.

We (husband, baby and i) in this hotel for all 6 nights of our trip to Seoul. This was a winter trip. The hotel was extremely well located if you are taking public transport (i.e. the MTR). It is a mere 50 metres walk from Exit 2 of Eujirol - 3 (sa) ga station. We had issues finding the hotel when we took the local cab - even with printing the hotel name in Korean. This is because it is not located along a main street.
The wifi in the rooms were horrible (no network password), but the front desk were willing to improve it. A router was placed in our room, and we had no wifi problems thereafter.
The beds are soft and comfortable. It was spacious as well, for the normal room. The toilet seat was heated, and the shower / bathtub worked as intended. Toiletries, robes, slippers, room safe, mini fridge and complimentary daily 2 bottles of water were provided. There is also a water dispenser (hot, medium , cold) located near the lift lobby on each floor.
To add to the convenience, there is a convenience shop within the hotel - a 7-11. We bought instant bowl noodles and snacks from there, payment could be made via contactless credit card (paywave paypass masterpass, etc) regardless of amount.
We loved how central the location is, 10 mins walk to Myeongdong central to watch the Nanta show and enjoy the street food and amazing Korean strawberries. The station itself was 2-3 stops within the main stations of SEOUL, CITYHALL which allowed us to do all the destinations we wanted. Further, a 2-3 stop ride meant that the train ride was FREE - our T_money card had no deductions.
The hotel also provided a daily shuttle service from SEOUL station - incredibly useful. Visit the hotel page for the schedule and detailed pickup points. Arrive early.
LAst but not least, there are plenty of local food restaurants in the vicinity - in particular, there's this one restaurant "수표교" (i typed this using an online korean keyboard matching the picture i took) at the corner of the immediate lane owned by an incredible owner who gave us the best food and service we experience. He knew we were tourists and didnt know how to order to korean (there were no english). Inviting us in, he served us local fruits and corn (delighting my daughter) and took the initiative to ask the cook to whip us a simple but delicious seafood noodle that we devoured. That one dish only cost us US$10. It was a sheer pity we discovered this treasure only on last night of our vacation.

My 2nd time in Korea Seoul (1st was with a tour) so this trip was seoul-ly (pun intended) on our own together with my bff. It was an impromptu short yet fruitful 4d3n for both of us, purely a shopping & eating adventure and little sight-seeing.
1. Getting to Staz Hotel – we bought the limousine bus tickets KRW 10,000 from the bus terminal just outside and headed to take Bus 6015 to Myeong Dong. We weren’t very sure which stop exactly to alight and went with Euljiro-3 stop then figured out the rest by foot and asking about 3 passerbys along the way. From the main road, you will pass by a shop selling ceramic toilet bowls, washing basins and stuff, turn left, walk for about 100m and then turn right. Staz hotel is just on your left with a little cosy minimart outside. Took us about 10 mins or so. You have no idea how glad I was to spot the hotel after lugging our luggage, after a night’s flight of hardly any sleep. The nearest station is Euljiro-3 subway station, which is about less than 5mins walk. You can find a small local eatery selling handmade dumplings and noodles, a Subway sandwich café and across the street, there is a grilled meat eatery with yummy local Korean food like pork belly and beef. All pretty decent food. The 1st day, we walked to Myeong dong and back, which was about less than 10mins or so, if you take your time. So location-wise, I’d say this hotel is near Myeong dong, just away from the hustle and bustle.
2. Checking in and out – I seem to have good luck with hotels in this aspect. Was a breeze and hardly any waiting. Even better, though we arrived at like 11am or so (check-in is actually 3pm), to be told that your room is ready seems to be the best thing that ever happened to you that day. That meant we could take a shower, freshen up, dump our luggage in the room and even take a short rest before heading out to ravage the streets of Seoul.
3. Price – The hotel bill came up to KRW 389700 which worked out to be about SGD243.50 per person for 3 nights. Meaning per night is only SGD80 per person. *say whaaaat?! So yeah, very economical and definitely great value for money.
4. Comfort and space – For a small below - star hotel, I’d rate this a 8/10 for the comfort, cleanliness and huge space. For 2 of us, it was more than sufficient as we each took a corner to “mark our territories”. Bed was a good single size, a tad small but still alright. Might want to note that the toilet door is translucent so you could actually see the silhouette of the person undressing inside or doing his business. Talk about kinky haha. Not to worry though since we are both mamas. #ihavewhatyouhave #justamatterofbigorsmall
5. Wifi – works well and no complaints.
6. Convenience store just downstairs so you could just stock up on drinking water, snacks if you’d like. No comments on the hotel food as we did not do any breakfasts there.
7. Weather from 5-8 Nov 2015 – We were there for these 4 days. Kind of overdressed on the 1st day, didn’t quite require a down-jacket. Was a lovely 18 deg or so in the day that dropped to about 8 deg or so by night. It rained on our last 2 days and got pretty chilly with the cold winds. Oh do bring pack in an umbrella too, cos they came in so handy this time.
8. Getting around from Staz hotel to Myeong dong, Ewha womens university shopping area, Hongdae, Namdaemun, Dongdaemun, Lotte mall – all within very close proximity, like 3-4 stops by subway. The ticket vending machines have English and Japanese versions so not a problem for foreigners. We bought a one-way ticket each time and got a ticket deposit refund each time we got to our destination. This trip, we only planned out the popular shopping areas and hardly any sight-seeing except Ewha womens’ university cathedral where we managed to take many beautiful shots of the red autumn trees. We will definitely be back for a longer holiday the next time. Till then, Annyeong!

I chose this hotel because of location and price. I needed a double, triple and quadruple rooms and since this one came within my budget, I booked this hotel.
Location: when you get off the airport bus stop at Eulji-to 2, walk about 20m and look at the buildings for signage of Staz. It is in the parallel street across the bus stop, so that means you have to cross the street, go to the parallel street, turn right (away from the holiday inn express, walk about 200 meters and you'll find the hotel. About 10 mins walk to Myeongdong shopping area. Via cab, only about 5000 won ( $5) to famous landmarks like N Seoul Tower or Gyeongbokgung palace. The Eulji-to MRT station is just 2 mins walk away too.
Room:the double room is very small. Hard to unpack/pack for 2 peeps.
Staff: helpful and polite

Hi, we used the washing machine and dryer when we stayed at the Hotel in June. Worked fine and cost about 3000 won a wash, same price for dryer. Easy to use with excellent instructions near by the machines.
There are many different entrances to the Myeong-dong Shopping area. It usually takes us about 10-15 mins to walk to the Myeong-dong Cathedral (one of the entrance to the shopping area) from the hotel.
Turn right once u walk out of hotel and walk to Samil-daero, then turn left. At the junction of Samil-daero/Eulji-ro, we usually take the escalator to the underground cross over and come out on the other side which is 5 mins walk to the Cathedral.
All-in walk to Cathedral from hotel - 10-15 mins.
BTW shortly after the Cathedral, on the same side, there is a Starbucks. After the Starbucks there is a very popular Korean beef rice soup eatery.
There are more places to choose from in the Seoul area.
