Great for walkers

Loved our stay from the time we walked in to the warm reception with the beautiful Christmas decor and the lovely, friendly staff that greeted us, up to the time we had to sadly leave after 5 nights with a complimentary exclusive to the hotel shuttle bus to take us to the airport in comfort and style. The location was perfect as we only need to step out and the shopping, restaurants and street food stalls are already a few steps away. Our room was always serviced and cleaned by the friendly, helpful lady cleaner that always greeted us as we walked past her. I would like to thank Seo Young Dal at the Concierge who let us check in earlier than normal and personally brought our luggages to our room. The all day access to the executive lounge especially the relaxing ambience everyday at breakfast was a winner. We cannot fault our stay and we will definitely love to stay here again. The Royal Hotel Seoul was the best choice in hotel and choosing to stay in Myeongdong for our first time in Korea was also a very good choice as it was central and close to other tourist spots to visit.

This hotel is in an excellent location for shopping, dining and transportation, with a major subway stop just blocks away. The hotel itself is very clean and offers a nice restaurant on the top floor with a great view of the city. The housekeeping service was impeccable and I loved having electronic "Do Not Disturb" and "Please Make Up the Room" buttons instead of clunky signs to hang on the doorknob. Check-in was easy and took under a minute! The Concierge desk was very helpful in making essential meeting arrangements for me. I would gladly stay at this hotel again!

We came to Seoul to attend a wedding and wanted a hotel in a great location with wonderful views and access to a Cub Lounge and the Royal Hotel ticked all the boxes. The Rooms were well equipped and extremely comfortable and the selection of food and beverages in the Club lounge made it excellent value for money. You step outside the door and are surrounded by the shops and food stalls of this buzzing area. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect location, female staff friendly and spoke English, male staff a little stiff most of the time, breakfast most certainly not worth it 😱 -⁰ outside but still had to sleep with the window open as the temperature in room was extremely hot. Rooms smallish for us Aussies but I would most certainly stay again. Had gym, restaurant, and the lobby was large and comfortable to sit and watch what was going on outside. Location is perfect for being able to explore Seoul, right in the heart of Myeongdong next to all the brands and skincare shops you can dream of!
Room size is a little small for 2 people, however workable given the price. All in all, a great hotel to stay at for a long weekend or so.
Only comment is that there isn't a lot of taxis that wait outside the hotel, so we had to walk out to the main road to hail a cab.

Very arrogant and unfriendly staff at the reception and Sky lounge. Don’t let the photos of this hotel fool you! Carpet floor in room was full of stains and looked very dirty. The opening hours of the sky lounge are to laugh at and you are not allowed to just as a hotel guest sit there and enjoy the view with a coffee, you have to order a set of coffee and desserts. One star I’ll give to the housekeeping lady cause she was the only friendly person here.

This hotel is in the bustling heart of Myeongdong, across from the church a bit up the hill. The hotel itself is clean and neat and the staff are very friendly. Cleaning service was a bit inconsistent but overall we were satisfied. The bar and the lounge are a bit overstated… but luckily there are always other places to go in Myeongdong. If you book a Premiere King room, you can get a free hour if you request a late checkout. Every other hour is about ₩11,000. The rooms and the bathroom were a bit small but location wise it’s really good.

This is a four star hotel right in the central location of Myeongdong area. The hotel has a decent large lobby and check in was pretty smooth. The room was a little bigger than the standard room in the area (around 24 sqr m2). However for the two of us it was just enough space to move around.
We were a little surprised as they have only central air conditioning and it was not on in the winter time. So we had to open the window to get some cool and fresh air. We were on the 16th floor so it was not that bad.
I would recommend this place if you want to be in the center of Myeongdong area.

Had a great experience at this hotel. Location is perfect. It's right at the heart of Myeondong and the night market is right outside the doorstep. It is also accessible to the Metro and all the beauty shops are within walking distance. Staff are very helpful and they have a decent breakfast buffet selection.

When I visited Royal Hotel, it was the dining that caught my eyes.
It loooked so gorgeous and superb.
If you had a chance to visit Royal Hotel, I recommend you to visit their website so that you can see what kinds of dishes they serve.
