We loved our stay here! Quirky hotel with a Parisian theme, they have leaned into the decor with beautiful furnishings that really work well. Attentive, friendly staff, simple check-in process, great facilities and well equipped fitness centre. Very comfortable rooms. A special thank you to Peter for looking after us on our arrival - you were excellent! A home away from home with exceptional service.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in the Grand Deluxe Atelier room.
Reception is on level 6 of the building which makes it feel like you're staying in a private apartment block instead of a hotel. This was something i personally enjoyed.
Great care and attention to detail has been taken in the decorating and furnishing of the rooms and seeing the detail in the embroidery in person is just astounding.
The bed was so comfortable and i woke up every morning feeling refreshed and energised ready for the day. The room was kept thoroughly cleaned and was comfortably spacious.
I opted for the breakfast package which was hosted by the Palais de Chine restaurant and enjoyed having breakfast every morning. The staff also took food allergies into consideration and offered alternate options for me.
The hotel is also located close to Hoehyeon and Myeongdong stations which makes for an easy time to go about daily activities. It is also located close to the palaces as well as Namsan, museums and markets.
All the staff were so friendly and accomodating and were able to resolve any concerns or queries that i had promptly and efficiently.
Their library which is open to guests only was a perfect place to relax in outside of the confines of the room. I also enjoyed a couple of drinks at the Den bar and Marque D'amour (The bubble cocktail is delicious)
Overall i enjoyed my stay with L'escape Hotel and i look forward to staying with them again in the future :)

Hotel was tastefully designed with a Parisian style and it can be seen in every corner of the hotel.

Generally, it was a comfortable stay but the room was too dark and there was no way to add extra lighting. Will be good if a choice of cool light is made available instead of just the warm light.

Went during spring and room was rather hot and stuffy but luckily the windows can be opened to allow natural cool air to flow in. The staff went an extra mile to make the stay more comfortable by adding a standing fan to the room.

However, quite a number of amenities are chargeable, like toothbrush and toothpaste. Others like coffee capsules and bottled water are also chargeable if more than 4 is requested.

Location was very good as it's in between Myeongdong and Namdaemun, within walking distances. Many restaurants and a few convenience stores are nearby too. But then again, the short walk to the hotel from the street is a rather steep slope. Not too convenient for anyone with walking disability.

It was our 1st trip to Seoul and we wanted a hotel with proximity to the train station, night food options and spacious room. We were frequent travelers and knew the importance of moving space in the room.
This hotel met all our requirements with added bonus!
First, the Hoehyeon Train right at the door steps (and proves to be strategically linked to all other lines!). A tip, you can use the same train exit to link all the way to Myeongdong street if you want to avoid the weather elements.

Being close to Myeongdong, we were able to grab the best of Seoul night food such as Korean fried chicken and other delicious street food as we return from our day trip. Even if we were late, the CU and 7-11 around were stocked well for our needs.

Checking in was a breeze and I met one of the nicest and charming gentlemen, Daniel. The lad was both humorous and helpful to our stay. He gave a good introduction of the facilities of the room and sensing our tiredness from our flight, did his best to check us in as soon as he could. 5 Star service for sure Daniel!

The room itself was huge! Thanks to Daniel, we were upgraded to a larger room and we could enjoy that space we needed to relax each night. There was 2 TV, 1 facing the sofa area and the other at the bed. Both had Netflix if you got tired of watching golf channels (loved all 3 of them)
The bath tub was gorgeous. It was placed in the larger bathroom area and you have the option to close out that room for privacy while you soak.
The room view could see half of Namsan and that was a great treat for us as we prepared each morning with a Nespresso each morning, courtesy of the hotel.

Every one of the hotel staff we met throughout our stay displayed the same professionalism as Daniel, from the concierge greeting us at the lobby daily to the cleaning lady in charge of our room. She greeted us warmly when we met and took extra effort to clean up our room each day. She laid out extra water daily (not just 2 but 5 and sometimes 6!), changed our slippers daily and even placed our toiletries on a cloth for added protection. The thoughtfulness was really deeply appreciated.

All in all, the staff of L'escape displayed top notch service deserving of their 5 star hotel rating. Will make i

Really, there is too much to complain about. Although the interior is very “Instagram worthy”, everything else about this hotel is nothing to admire. In fact, this hotel is probably the WORST that I’ve stayed at in a long time and I’m surprised that the management at this hotel doesn’t train their working staff better, because they seem to pride themselves on being “world class”. The staff was all rude, uncomfortable, and EXTREMELY unprofessional. The ONLY person who acted like they worked at a top tier hotel was the bell boy at the front door! Everyone else working at the hotel, including their front desk and very famous Chinese restaurant, were extremely pompous and plain rude! The restaurant even forgot to give us one of our dishes and they blamed us! The only worthwhile place here is the spa, but from my understanding it is run and managed independently, which makes complete sense. Do not stay at this hotel.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Seoul done in a French style. The rooms are elegantly appointed, large, and the service is exquisite. I am here a week and enjoying it. It is not inexpensive, but worth it. That mirror on the wall is the tv! The hotel also provides a Genie iPad that you can ask to play your favorite music, turn on/off lights, give you the weather forecast, etc.

We stayed here for 2 separate weekends, with a break in between, on both ocassions th service received when we checked in was wonderful, for both our stays our room was upgraded, the second time to a particularly stunning suite.

The location of the hotel is great, perfect for Myeondong shopping & eateries, next to the subway and not far from some of the stunning places of Seoul. The hotel itself is themed around a Parisian hotel and the decor of the hotel's main areas (check out the particularly stunning library and bar) and the rooms are gorgeous, spacious & with gorgeous rolltop baths - very Instagram worthy. It was also superb value for money, I stayed at the Westin in between for work and it was twice as much, with no charachter and also looking quite dated.

There are just 2 areas I would give feedback on, the cost of breakfast seemed exceptionally high, at around $45 SGD per head per day, I can't comment on the quality as we chose to have room only, the second element is you only get limited number of bottles of water - I think it was 2 for the first room & 4 for the suite, it's unusual for water to be limited in a high quality hotel, so I would suggest either reviewing this or having water filters to enable filling up of personal bottles.

Came here for four nights in Seoul. We got upgraded to a suite I think though not sure what we actually booked but hard to assess value. Room we had was excellent, 23rd floor with views over the city. Bed was very comfortable and King. We also had a sitting area and there was a lot of wardrobe space as well to store the bags and hang some clothes. Bathroom was also excellent with tub and separate shower area. Hot water on demand and overall can't fault the room.

The hotel is well placed for the local area with a subway right outside the door and a popular shopping area right next door. Its also in walking distance to the Seoul tower.

Staff were excellent but there was no help with bags on arrival as would be expected in a hotel at this level. Other issue was food and restaurants. There was a Chinese and a fine dining restaurant internal. Breakfast would be served in the Chinese but was £25 a head and given my wife is a vegetarian this would have been very poor value. We did eat one night in the Chinese but it had a poor vegetarian choice and was hugely expensive for wine. Overall it was very expensive. We do regularly fine dine and understand the cost but again there was no vegetarian option and when you are staying somewhere for 4 nights you aren't going to fine dine the same set menu every night. Best advice is to visit the excellent food court under the shopping centre next door but the hotel really needs an affordable restaurant.

It was nice to stay with my dogs, and the fancy interior was good. In particular, I'd like to thank Daniel, an employee who found my car key and sungrass case. Everything was good, including location, but I think the additional $50 charge per puppy is an excessive fee.

Please heed this warning. I booked for a seven night stay only to find out through my booking agent that the hotel would request a deposit of $1075usd for a 7 night stay. Then, when I confirmed this, I was informed that the deposit would be accepted in CASH only. I had already paid the FULL stay with my credit card, so there was no reason to request such an exorbitant and unreasonable deposit. Perhaps they're running a money-changing scheme...who knows? I'd recommend steering clear of a place like that.

Dear EIB384, We apologized for your bad experience with your booking agent. You might have received the wrong information through your booking agent. We are very afraid that many travelers will believe this wrong information about our hotel. Our hotel DOES NOT do cash only as deposit, we prefer credit card and we DO NOT take more than $1000 USD as deposit as cash or credit card. We require a deposit at check-in, this cover charge incurred during your stay, such as room service, restaurant, bar charges, gift shop merchandise, valet parking or damage charge for room. We are part of Shinsegae group which is part of Samsung group and we DO NOT do money-changing scheme. Please do not assume about scheme because this wording can hurt the hotel staff’s feelings. Again we DO NOT do anything illegal things in this hotel. We welcome your reply so please let us know the details about your experience by reply to andy.lim@lescapehotel.com or 202207084@shinsegae.com. L'Escape Hotel Front Office Manager Andy Lim
