We stay in the apartments for 2 weeks it was amazing the apartments are beautiful, very very clean, the staff are so friendly they will do anything for you, we were snorkaling out the front of our room swimming in the pool playing with the local children, your not in a resort you are with real people, we had 2 adults and 4 teenages with heaps of room, James and Claudine would help us with anything they organised adventures they even did a shopping list for us so when we got there we did not have to go any where it was all done. we would happily love to reccomend the apartments to anyone. We would stay no where else and we can't wait to go back. thank you James, Claudine and all the staff at Pandanus Bay

There are 2 blocks of 4 apartments each. Each block has 2 upstairs and 2 ground floor apartments. We stayed in the block that housed apartments 1 - 4. We had a ground floor one which was #4 and next to it was #3. Both of these apartments would be good if you have small children but in particular #3 as it has a fenced front yard. The apartments are very very spacious and well appointed with everything you could need. The beds were extremely comfortable and the fridge with it's own icemaker was fantastic. They even have an esky in the pantry so if you want to go out for a picnic or do some chilled shopping you can fill it with ice and take it with you.
So often when you book accommodation you are lead to believe that you have beachfront etc. only to find upon arrival that the beach is actually 1/2 kilometre away and the views of the water are somewhat distant. Well not in this case. You are literally 30 metres from your own private beach and the views are to die for. I spent many hours sitting on our very large patio enjoying the view that I am sure I would never tire of. On the beachfront there are reclining lounges and a very big table and chairs under cover with a BBQ all for your use. This area is light up at night. Swimming here was lovely in both the pool and in the beach, however reef shoes are definitely needed here as with all the beaches we found in Port Vila. But once again fantastic service and James and Claudine can provide you with these shoes and only ask that you clean and return them when you have finished with them.
Both James and Claudine are very helpful but not at all intrusive. The day we arrived it was later than expected due to delayed flights from Australia. When we arrived we were picked up by a driver which James had organized and taken to our apartment. Due to the time being later than expected James kindly put us in his car and took us into the Bon Marche Supermarket to allow us to get some food and supplies and something for dinner. Excellent service. The following day James also kindly organized and dropped us off at Hertz Car Hire in town so that we could get mobile for our holiday. Again very good service. You can catch a bus from the complex however we prefer to be independent and have our own car. The apartments are about 10 minutes out of town by road and not really walking distance to anything much, but if you don't have a car then the bus service is pretty good I understand.
Claudine organized an in house massage for all 3 of us which was wonderful and not really much difference in price to having one downtown.
The only downside of the stay was that these units are 3 bedrooms and designed for up to 6 people and we had 3 but the power kept cutting out if you ran too many appliances at once. If you were to run all the air conditioners in each bedroom plus some other appliances then you would blow a fuse. It either came back on very quickly or you had to find someone to turn it back on for you. My suggestion would be obviously try to manage your appliances and output first but also find out on day one where you flick the switch to get your power back on and then it is a 15 second job to sort it out if the power goes out.
Overall we had a wonderful holiday and I would highly recommend these apartments for a very relaxed holiday. Thank you James and Claudine for helping making our time in Vanuatu so enjoyable.

We just enjoyed a week in Apartment 3. The apartments are huge and very well appointed. James and Claudine are excellent hosts and gave us some great locals advice.
The location is also great - a short bus ride to town and great spot on the water.
You definitely need reef shoes to swim out front and most places in Vanuatu.
We hope to return soon!

Superbly appointed apartments with everything you need. I was staying with my boss and it was great to have our own bed and bath facilities, and share the living and very well appointed kitchen to cook up the fabulous Vanuatu beef steaks!
The hosts James and Claudine were absolutely superb! Very friendly, always accommodating and there to ensure any issues were resolved. James managed to get he best steaks for us. They, along with the other groceries were in the pantry or fridge when we arrived.
The local village people are very friendly. Willy the night-watchman was excellent to talk to, and made us feel very safe. The cleaning women always did a first class job, providing fresh flowers every second day.
There are plenty of nice restaurants just a short bus ride away, the best being the Stone Grill Restaurant.
I would highly recommend Pandanus Bay Apartments for either a business or leisure trip.

We just returned from a week in Pandanus Bay Waterfront Apartments in Port Vila and loved it. It was our second trip to Vanuatu but first here, and we won't bother looking anywhere else in the future.

With two teenage boys, having such a huge space and two bathrooms is brilliant. The apartments would easily fit larger families. Having a full kitchen (huge stove top), ice and ice-water fridge made it really easy to cook at the apartments, but it is just a walk or short bus trip to restaurants.

I really disagree with the comment on here that the noise from Pango village is a deal-breaker. The village is next door and we had the apartment closest to it, but it didn't bother us at all (and we come from noiseless Canberra). In fact, we enjoyed hearing the goings-on and walked to the village store for fresh morning bread. If dogs barking REALLY bothers you, then be aware of it. But not a problem at all for us.

Service was brilliant; friendly and informative but not in your face. Ultra clean and the beds are good - much better than most hotels. The furnishings are great and good screens in place so no bugs at all.

These are full size apartments that are really big. It was great for a week, but a month would be better. There is good snorkeling straight off the beach here, and pickups or the local buses to go anywhere else or for diving.
