I visited Palau for the first time in September 2024. Rose Garden Resort Restaurant was recommended by others I know that have visited Palau. They said "fantastic views overlooking the coast, and one of the best hamburgers you’ll find in Palau. One of the few places where you can get a decent omelette in the mornings!" I went for lunch and ordered a 1/2 half lb. hamburger with caramelized onions. It was wonderful. Sad it was raining when I went so I wasn't able to see the view. I loved that they played R&B and R&B jazz music while I was there.

The Rose Garden Resort was the perfect place to stay in Palau. Friendly staff, great food and amazing view from the cute rooms. I highly recommend the Rose Garden Resort to enjoy a local stay in Palau.
Loved the shower gels (rose scented), the beautiful flower & ocean view from our balcony was the highlight!
Don't forget to do the Burger Challenge & enjoy the local breakfast.

Beautiful views and friendly staff. The Rose Garden resort staff greeted us with a so much generosity and hospitality. Stayed in one of the second story rooms over looking the property and the ocean. Rooms were spacious, very clean, had cable and a nice sized tv in each room. Food was delicious, recommend French toast for breakfast. And if you have enough maybe 6-7 people order the burger challenge it’s great for a photo but also very good! I recommend this place for couples or anyone trying to get away from it all. It was very peaceful property, calm and quite. We had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to go back.

This was my first time in Palau and I had a one-night stay before being transferred for a diving liveaboard. Now, I know this isn't a luxury hotel and I wasn't expecting a 5-star place, but really, for USD200 I think I can get a better place in any other country in the world. So what you need to know is this - Palau has a monopoly on the hotel market - they know that you don't have much of a choice during peak season and you pay what you can.
This "resort" isn't too bad in terms of cleanliness, but bear in mind that the rooms are all made of wood. There are insects around - but of course, since Palau is in the tropics. The aircon drips. No electricity if you leave the room (the room card switches it on), and while I am fine with that, I am not ok with the fridge having the power cut too.
The bathroom is big but basic. It's basically a no-frills hotel. Or should I say motel?
Like some other reviewers have mentioned, this hotel is situated on a hill so you need to climb a steep flight of steps to get to your room. If you have heavy diving gear, get someone to bring your luggage up for you.
On the up side, as I arrived very late (2:30am), the lady at the check-in counter allowed me to have my breakfast as late as I want. So that was a nice touch.
WiFi or 3G mobile reception? FORGET IT. It is non-existent at Rose Garden, and all of Palau. The only place with reliable WiFi is Palau Pacific Resort.
In summary - if you have a choice, stay somewhere else. If you booked your hotel last-minute, Rose Garden isn't too bad, but it sure is not worth USD200. But that's Palau!

Rose Garden Resort was a wonderful place to stay! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and after a long day on the boat it was great coming back to a room which was clean and well-looked after, cooled by AC, and comfy... not to mention had a beautiful view of the lagoon from the balcony! A bonus: the food is worth 5 stars itself and is prepared fresh (but fast). Will definitely be back if I visit Palau again!

So good hotels in Palau are a bit pricey. Low priced are pretty much a dump. So I opted for the Rose Garden hotel and wasn';t disappointed. The rooms are nice and large with adequate bathroom. Terrace with a view. What makes this hotel is the friendliness of the staff. Food is good. Internet is workable in the restaurant but not available in the rooms. The hotel is a 10 mins by car from Koror, and a little remote, but the hotel staff will take you to places. Advice when booking is ensure that you ask them to pick you top at the airport. The taxis are a rip off. The main diving shops are 15 mins away by car, 45 mins to walk. Recommend NECO Marine

My family of 3 stayed at Rose Garden December 2014 for 12 days and it made for a perfect base for our many excursions. The rooms are clean and large and accommodated the 3 of us and our scuba gear. The bed was fairly comfortable as I have a fused spine and had no trouble sleeping. The restaurant has a vast menu and everything we tried was great and very reasonably priced. There is no pool and the wifi is very sporadic (you will find this everywhere in Palau though), but for what we paid, we will happily stay again. we stayed in a room at the top which provided a nice view from the deck, but it was a hike up many steps.

We came here with a group of friends and had an amazing time. The best part of the hotel are the views and the restaurant. The hotel sits atop a small mountain overlooking the main city of koror. Just beyond the city you can see the beautiful clear and bright blue waters and a chain of islands. We were even lucky enough to catch a rainbow spanning over the island, it was spectacular. In terms of the food we had the best meal of our 4 day trip at the hotel. The tropical setting and locally sourced wood that they used to build the hotel make it feel like you are staying in a treehouse. The rooms are clean and spacious and all come with balconies overlooking the view aforementioned. The sheets are white (I only stay in hotels with white sheets). All in all a great place to stay as it really suits the local Palaun feel.

This review is about the restaurant only. We had dinner here with family. The best thing I can say about the place is the free shuttle transfer to and from resort. Margaritas were weak and not recognizable as margaritas. Main courses (burgers, pasta) were bland. Everyone’s meals arrived at different times, my own very late. Though seemingly well staffed, the crew seemed overwhelmed by what was not even a full house. There is a big food inspection rating displayed in the dining room. The ‘B’ rating for food safety is higher than what I would rate the dining experience generally.
