Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
A United Airlines flight to Guam was cancelled in the middle of the night, and UA arranged for me to stay until the next day's make-up flight, which I used. It is located in the center of Koror, directly behind the Palaisia Hotel. Near the same street is the oldest Japanese-style local restaurant in Palau, YOKOHAMA. It is also very convenient for dining and shopping within a few minutes walking distance of American cuisine CANOE, Japanese izakaya Doridori and WTC.
The building is still new, as it was just built. It feels like a bigger business hotel room in Japan. Twins measure over 30 square meters. During the day, if diving or sightseeing is not the purpose of the hotel stay, it is clean, functional and convenient, and comfortable.
Hotels are old and expensive everywhere in Palau. I think it's a new and convenient price, as all the big resort hotels, like the Royal Resort and Pacific Resort, are more expensive than the original. I don't know if it's the right answer because I have a UA, but I think it's somewhere between $150 and $200.
It is not suitable for those who want to feel like a resort, but considering the cost, convenience and cleanliness, it is basically a comfortable hotel.

A group of us were on a week-long scuba diving trip in Palau and used West Plaza Lebuu as our overnight hotel both on the way in and on the way out. We loved it. The hotel is only about four years old. We've stayed at other West Plaza facilities in Palau and they're . . . uh . . . well . . . not exactly top-end. Not so with West Plaza Lebuu. 6-story hotel, very modern, very nice, friendly staff, restaurant on-site, rooms were huge, nice view (we were on the north side of the hotel) of the Rock Islands, and more to the point: We'd definitely stay here again. Also were able to arrange airport xfers with them for a reasonable price ($30/person, which seems to be the going rate).

In traveling for a few weeks and staying in a general region such as Koror we do not stay at any one hotel for the entire duration. Instead, we vary hotels (3) since each place provides something different as does the surrounding area... and what a surprise when we discovered this hotel.
The hotel is brand new, it is off the main drag by a few blocks and it offered everything we would want. Of course the rooms were clean, roomy, in room safe, small refrigerator, and the bathroom had all the amenities. There is no pool and no garden area. As such, if children are involved there’s not much for them to do, or where to hang-out.
The balcony is a good size with two chairs and small table with a great view. It’s a quiet hotel (carpeted hallways), with a gym, rental cars, nice size elevators, well lighted, big reception area, attentive staff and most importantly - a good restaurant attached to the reception entrance (Red Rooster Cafe, great eats and full bar, excellent staff).
To some travelers this hotel may seem to be a standard good hotel, but consider Koror is a small island and as such this place is pretty good in this context.
For the price this hotel is well worth it, and would recommend it, and no doubt when it's discovered the cost will go up.
Across the street is a ‘donut' shop, Others eateries begin a few blocks away (close).
Be aware that this hotel is a chain on the island, SO, make sure that you book the hotel on LEBUU STREET, because it is the new one, the others are older and a tad dated and in good shape with some catering to divers.
Transport to and from airport (24/7), at a reasonable cost.

The hotel is one of the new hotels in Koror, and is just off the main street. Our room overlooked the sea and had 270 degree views. The room was clean, and a good size. The air-conditioning was good and kept the room very cool. The staff were great.

Hi West Plaza, thank you for your amazing and friendly service. Stayed here almost a month and I became friends with the staff. Especially, the staff of red rooster cafe. Excellent experience, friendly housekeeping and manager Winky. The photos are the view from my room. I love the tranquility of the place.

This hotel is the newest hotel in Palau conveniently located near lots of restaurants, stores, and museums . There is free parking . It’s located 1-2 miles from most dive shops/ boats but they all do hotel pickups. There is an in room safe, good WiFi , a room kettle ,great air conditioning, and a Japanese toilet . I had a small balcony with nice view of ocean . There is no pool but lots of various sized business meeting room. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I made reservation thru Expedia but would have gotten a better deal booking direct. Since Palau is one of worlds best dive/ snorkeling sites , there were NOT enough hooks in room , bathroom and balcony to dry stuff. The west plaza hotels are a little chain , for this new hotel make sure you book Lebuu st

The room was was fresh and clean. The most comfortable bed I've slept on in a long time with 4 very nice pillows. Great air conditioning, almost too cold for my taste. Bottles of water were replenished daily in the fridge. The balcony was spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean, and I had spectacular sunsets nightly. Definitely make a trip across the street to the Best Coffee and Donut House. I wasn't expecting to have such a fresh and a delicious treat. It's a hidden gem, with a YouTube video, too.
The only thing that will make me not want to return to this hotel is my experience during checkout. I had to wait while the room was inspected by the manager. After being approved I stated I did not steal any towels, pillows, or lamps. Not even the complimentary soap or shampoo bottles. I was so extremely offended that I offered to open my suitcase for inspection. I had a bottle of water with me to take to the airport, but I purposely set it on the counter and said that I certainly didn't want to be accused of stealing.
