Even one person in a room with a suitcase would struggle. Two of us with two suitcases - nightmare! The saving grace here were the staff who could not have been more helpful and the location is great!
The hotel is located in the center of the historic part of Bogota, Calanderia. It's a walking distance to everywhere. The hotel itself is an old building without elevator. Rooms are extra small and bathroom is super extra small. The bed was comfortable and even it was queen size it occupied half or more the room size. The window cannot be open and there is no air circulation. The noise of bars outside was strong and until 1am to 2am. The hotel serves small breakfast which we enjoyed. Staff was frienly and helpful
They will only keep your luggage until 5pm. Or you can pay to keep the room till 6pm. If your flight is later they have no other options for you. We ended up having yo walk around asking hostels to take our luggage. Unacceptable. They also took 3 days to respond to our emails which resulted in them rejecting a package that was sent to the hotel for us. I will say hotel room was cleam and bed was comfy. But they forgot toilet roll in our bathroom. Traveling all over the world I have never had a hotel reject luggage. Really ruined our 1 say stay in Bogotá.
I actually really liked this hotel when I first checked in, but that soon changed. Initially I thought my boyfriend would only join me the next day, and did tell them that they should expect two people for the room on the second day, he did in the end manage to join me on the first day and he did check in properly and leave his details. Next thing we know they are calling at 11 at night very rudely saying that we need to pay for the extra person. We let them know that we will sort it out in the morning. 10 minutes later they call again, this time it's the manager. Again we let them know we will sort it out in the morning. I've never experienced anything like it. In the end we end up paying much more for the extra person then we would've done for a double room and the girl on reception is rude and condescending. I've travelled the world and worked in hotels myself, and this is beyond anything I've ever experienced. Stay away! Clearly money is more important to them than service and good behaviour. …
Travelling alone on this occasion and came upon this little gem. The hotel is in a brilliant location in the old part of Bogotá close to everything in the area. The room I had was small but perfectly formed and great for a single traveller. If I was not travelling alone then it may have been a bit of a squeeze finding space for more than one suitcase. The wifi was good and the staff were all super friendly and happy to help with any request made of them. If I ever find myself solo in Bogotá again I would definitely return to this hotel.
