is a great hotel near to the historical center in bogota , the service is great , food anytime and drinks too is great to visit with friends and family is a little expensive but it's worth it . the bed is ok, cleaning service is good, the food is great delicious, airpot pick up efficient
This hotel rates about 3.5. The main drawback is the noise, in some rooms. I was initially in a room with a window, facing calle 10 (a fairly busy street). I asked to move and they had nothing on the side facing calle 9 (quieter side), however they put me in a windowless room (middle of hotel, at my request) which was fine. The staff is relatively helpful and I dont speak any Spanish. If you are out past about 6.00, dont expect dinner in this area, as it dies at night, but there is plenty going on a few blocks away (calle 7, heading toward carrera 18). In the day, you are in the heart of a very nice area, with older buildings to see, a variety of shops (up the hill toward carrrera 3) and some good bargains in the area of calle 10 and carrera 10 (there is a little market there and if you go around that general area (across carrera 10) there are various shops and street vendors)…
Would like to rate 3.5 but cannot. Staff friendly and helpful, airport pick up efficient. Rooms fine, price good for a single room in Bogota. At a slightly dodgier end of La Candelaria which makes after dark an adventure. Great location during the day and close to lots of things. Bed very hard and like said before, 1st floor is noisy in the mornings as you can hear all the workers. Nothing wrong with this place, fine for a night but not sure i can think of any reason to go back. Not a reason to stay a night if you are passing through.
We were dissapointed with this hotel. The television didnt work and we were kept awake from seven am from tr obscene noise from the reception. While the ladies at the desk were lovely the owner was extremely rude and wouldn't allow us to keep our bags at reception for a few hours. Overpriced.
Location was good, rooms were clean and there was hot water but the staff make far too much noise in the corridors from very early in the morning and the lady in charge was extremely unhelpful in that she refused to store our bags for a few hours and she was borderline rude on a number of occasions. The tv in our room didnt work. The girls who worked behind the desk were very nice though!
"If you don't want street noise (and wee balcony over street) be sure to request another room."Read full review
