Stunning property, extremely clean and well maintained, massive and iconic building that can be seen pretty much from any point of Abu Dhabi! Has many swimming pools and lounging areas, a private beach and it’s located right in front of the Marina Mall. Me and some friends stayed at the hotel for 11 days during the F1 Grand Prix and the experience was great, on the days we even got brochures in our rooms, very nice touch. Maybe the only issue we had was that during the stay one of my friends room cards kept demagnetising and we had to go down to the reception at least twice a day; another little issue I personally encountered was that one night, at around 3.00 am, a room service staff member knocked delivering me a burger I never ordered, probably some confusion even thought the check was on my room number, nevertheless the gentleman apologised and left. The breakfast buffet was humongous, plenty of choice in every single aspect: all kinds of milks and breads (specially for people like me, with lactose and gluten intolerances), tropical fruit you rarely see in European resorts, freshly made in (upon request, in front of you, as a show) omelettes, pancakes and waffles. Various swimming pools: one for children with slides, a large one that’s acts like a beach getting deeper the more you go further, one with built in lounge chairs and a swim up bar. Plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes. Too bad I’m 20 and they couldn’t serve me alcohol, but this is an UAE thing and I simply didn’t know, so actually props to the hotel for being so correct/respectful. Beautiful spa (I didn’t use it but the reception lady was kind enough to show me around, still) and the gym had everything you may need with endless supply of water bottles and towels. The service is just amazing! Friendly staff in any area: the waiters, the housekeepers and of course the receptionists. The front desk crew is very professional and ready to help at any time. Had the opportunity to talk in various languages depending on the situation and I can guarantee that at least someone on duty always speaks English and Russian, a part of course Arabic. Since I’m, honestly, a messy guy sometimes the housekeeping staff were so kind to always rearrange my stuff I had left around the room, they literally helped me to fold my clothes and arrange my bathroom amenities. As for the room, I stayed at a double ocean view room (and my room had even a partial view over the skyline!), and since I was alone in my room it felt very spacious. The bed was very big and comfortable (I actually asked for an extra pillow and they brang in not 1, not 2 but 4 pillows, it was amazing!). A detail I really appreciated was that they’d leave a large bottle of water at every turndown during the day. As the great hotel they are, guests had a coffee machine and a kettle in the room, with of course tea bags, coffee, creamer and sugar, a part from the minibar containing different drinks. The bathroom has beautiful french doors, two sinks, robes and slippers, all the toiletries and amenities one would expect at a hotel, a big tub and the shower and toilet (with a bidet!!) we separated. Plenty of storage in the large closets and a safe. I made sure with the hotel around a week prior to my arrival if it was possible to get a package from Shein shipped directly to the hotel and there was no issue at all, I simply collected it at the concierge desk and I was so happy that it arrived. In the middle of the main hall there’s a floral arrangement that gets new flowers changed every week, a classy and nice touch for all the guests.…
