When we arrived we found one person at the front desk who also helped us with the luggage. The rooms are dull and dark and the towels looked horrible. Originally white but turned into greyish. Though I would say that the hotel is generally clean, the beds are comfortable. I recommend this hotel for people who will only use it to sleep

Excellent room and service! All was great and clean and the staff was very kind and available at all times. Could call organize trustworthy taxi drives through the hotel reception and also exchange money. The hotel has it's own restaurant that is really great. Overall it is a very good value for money. I strongly recommend it!

The worst hotel I have ever seen in my life, very dirty one, staff are totally unfriendly specially the terrible lady who is the front office manager, totally impolite, very complicated, she doesn't want even to help, on the other hand, the bellman was very helpful & polite, He's the only one on the hotel who shows a great service, the bathroom is very very dirty, à lot of insects, the towels are dirty, I'll never think to visit it again due to the terrible lady & the dirty rooms.

Hotel looks nice from the outside, neighbor restaurant NOT part of the hotel. Limited language skills by the staff at the hotel. I entered a double room with a balcony as requested. Very OLD INTERIOR with mould by the A/C, lamps torn apart, electrical cables joined manually, power sockets totally loose - and sparse! VERY hot so I powered the A/C on. After about 2 hours liquid started dripping to the floor - a LOT! Put down a towel to absorb - also the sound. Powering off going out for dinner. Returning again I started the A/C again and notified the staff. They made fotos and thought it was OK; asking for another room, but “hotel fully booked”... After 2 hours dripping heavily again, staff again - now I changed to a suite! So NOT FULL!! If you need a hassle free hotel, choose elsewhere...

Hello, this review is only based on the reservation and customer service of the hotel as we haven’t had the chance to stay. I have booked a room as a surprise for our 5 year anniversary, not knowing that we won’t be in the country on the booked date. Few minutes after I send the cancellation to the hotel. Although the booking i chose was non-refundable, the hotel’s reservation service refused to refund any amount and took all the money for an empty room that I have booked and cancelled 4 days in advance, within minutes apart. I have called the hotel to explain our situation, but there is no room for negotiation, not even to refund half the price! Just to know for future clients, that there is no room for error with this hotel reservation system and that there mindset is very business and money oriented instead of friendly and flexible for its customers. I tried to stay the most objective as possible with this review knowing that the money was taken away from our 5th year anniversary celebration. Best to all!

Location is excellent but the hotel -being rated 4 stars- is not a 4 stars property by any means!! Staff is really nice, but in-house services and in-room facilities are not up to the international standards of 4 stars properties. Breakfast is limited, despite being in Lebanon. The concierge assured me that the car hired through them is "guaranteed" quality, but it turned out to be old with nonfunctional Air condition!! Temperature that day was 34c.

Besides the wonderful double-bed, the spacious room and roomy bathroom (room 210), the out-standing capital of this hotel is its fabulous staff/personal, whose hard work and dedication to excellent service is truly impressive and second to none. Congratulations to the owner and the managers, whom have pooled such a talented group of people together. Too many to mention really, but Omar (Sharif) stands out for his service-mindedness and consistent positive attitude and professionalism. The lovely girls at breakfast, who were always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that the breakfast was a delightful experience, culinary as well as socially. The night porter Roger, Hamza, and all the others also deserve a big thanks for making our holiday such an enjoyable one. Thank you guys and we hope that we will see you again, when the pull of Beirut and beautiful Lebanon becomes too strong and we find ourselves on Lebanese soil again. Until then, thanks again and keep up the good work!

As a matter of fact, it is a three stars hotel, a bit worked down by time, very clean, helpful staff. If you pay the tripadvisor’ s prices , book it. Excellent localisation in popular Hamra str. Good breakfast.
