Everyone knows this is a beautiful hotel; nothing new to report there.
Fabulous in every way except ….
What I would like to highlight as a plea if management read this; please stop giving your guests multiple little tiny plastic bottles of amenities. There were 9 in my room for one day use. We usually travel with our own shampoos and conditioners etc. if you would like to remain 5 star and eco friendly; perhaps choosing bulking packing of squeeze dispensers in the showers and wash basic. Refillable bottles that are not thrown out after one time use. It’s not environmental and you should lead by example as such a significant chain in the world.
Same with the many bottles of plastic with water you give us. Can you perhaps provide glass canisters that become logo’d gift bottles or refillable.
It’s just wrong to be throwing out so much plastic.

I have stayed at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon, on average, 3 months every summer for the past 8 years. The hotel excels in areas such as cleanliness, service, cuisine, location, and other amenities. However, the key component that keeps me coming back to this hotel is the staff. The staff of this hotel is remarkable. They make you feel welcomed, as if you’re family, the moment you step into the building. First and foremost, I would like to extend a very special thanks to Chef Ossama Hassoun. Chef Hassoun is the embodiment of hospitality. He is attentive, punctual, and an exceptional communicator. Chef Hassoun, through his willingness to get to know the clients of the hotel, made sure that my family and I were receiving the absolute best experience when dining in the hotel’s main restaurant, The Mosaic, and while ordering room service. He went above and beyond and is a major factor in why I have and will continue to stay for long visits at the Phoenicia Hotel Beirut. Thank you so much, Chef Hassoun, for everything. I would also like to send a special thanks to Mr. Allam, Mr. Naji Aoun, Mr. Muhammad Al-Sha’ar, Chef Johnnie Chehade, and Chef Mazen for an absolutely wonderful dining experience. These gentlemen took care of my family and me greatly and made sure to answer our requests and beyond whenever we needed something. Often, my family and I would show up late to the buffet given my father is very elderly and it takes him time to get ready in the mornings. These gentlemen ensured that we wouldn’t miss our breakfast buffet experience and would reserve a table for us and provide other accommodations to help make our stay more enjoyable. They ensured that our choice table was always available every morning and that our preferred meals were ready when we arrived for breakfast. They greeted us with the finest hospitality.

Intercontinental Phenicia Hotel, in the Beirut Corniche near the best and more expensive area is a nice hotel in an old building with very kind employees. The checkin went smoothly and we were upgraded as Intercontinental members. Nice and big room with very fine amenities, minibar, boiler, coffee machine, balcony, safe box, office, sofa.....the bathroom with shower and bath is in marble with L'Occitane amenities.
The concierge can manage taxi driver for the day and car location. One pool indoor and one outdoor in a lounge and lovely area. Jacuzzi, sauna and hammam....
Good wifi and room service with a large range of food at an average price. The Amethyste Lounge for diner is a nice place but a little bite noisy. Good Lebanese food.
On the whole, nice stay, hope to come back.

This is one of the best and most luxurious hotels in Lebanon. It was built in the 80's and refurbished in the 2000's. This used to be THE place to be in Lebanon. Only the wealthiest and classiest people would stay here.
Regarding my stay:
Pros:
1) Clean hotel, friendly staff, very good prices
2) Breakfast has a well balanced variety of delicious lebanese pastries, fresh juices, and eggs as you like.
3) Rooms are spacious enough and the bathrooms are super luxurious (the amenities are from L'Occitane) .
4) Front desk and concierge are friendly and always ready to help.
5) Room service and laundry are super fast.
Cons:
1) We had to wait well past 3PM to get our rooms.
2) I specifically asked for a non-smoking room and still got a smoking room (hotel was mostly empty).
Overall, very delightful experience and will definitely stay there again in the future.
P.S. The hotel was completely renovated after the port blast and is in pristine condition

Over the years, I have stayed many months at the Phoenicia Hotel Beirut. Aside the from the superb cleanliness, delicious food and beauty of the hotel, the things the keeps me coming back to this hotel is the hospitality of the employees and the family-like environment the create for their guests. I would like to make a special thanks to Chef Osama Hassoun, who has taken care of me and my family from the moment we stepped foot in the hotel until the moment we left. Chef Osama constantly made sure we were receiving the best dining experience both in Mosaic restaurant and when we ordered room service. He really was unlike any other and am very grateful for all of the care directed toward me and my family during our stay. I would also like to specifically thank Mr. Allam and Mr. Najy, both of whom took great care of us every morning when having breakfast at the Mosaic restaurant and made sure that our preferred table was always ready every morning and that our preferred dishes/meals were ready the moment we entered for breakfast. They showed us with the warmest hospitality.

Phoenicia Hotel is an excellent hotel with impeccable service. I’m a regular guest and they remember me and my preferences. Nani Aoun and his team at the Mosaic restaurant delivers a large, delicious, healthy and diverse breakfast buffet (hot, cold, salads, pastries, eggs made to order etc) overlooking the water every day. The gym is very well equipped with machines, smith machine, bench press and free weights. Location is on the Croniche, walking distance into downtown, Hamra and Achrafieh.

October is such a great time to go! i guess it depends on the weather. the hotel can tell you when they close down the pool for the year.
