The Sydney Hotel is the best place for backpackers and budget travelers that are seeking a memorable and safe stay in Amman away from the noise but minutes on foot to all major touristic site, local restaurants and shops such as the Romain Theater, Citadel, Hashem Restaurants and the famous Rainbow street. The hotel provide a smoke free environment which is hard to find in Amman, 24 hour assistance, tours and packages, free high speed WIFI, a spacious communal area where you can meet other travelers and a cozy backyard area. Most rooms have private bathrooms, flat screens with satellite channels, minibar and self controlled A/C system... The rooms with balconies are the best.

This was the fourth time I stayed at Sydney Hostel. The location is perfect. It's close to Rainbow Street, Roman Amphitheater, vegetable/fruit market, and all the famous restaurants within a 10 minute walk. But what makes this place exceptional are the staff and the friendly atmosphere. Sary and Bassam treat you not as a guest but as an old friend. They have great recommendations for dining choices in the area as well as traveling in Jordan. They can arrange rides to the Dead Sea, Madaba, Jerash, and other places. Also, they can help you find other travelers at the hostel who may want to share a ride. I shared a ride to Mt. Nebo, Madaba, and the Dead Sea with two other travelers and we had a great time. Sydney Hotel is a great place to stay during your Jordanian journey. The staff couldn't have been nicer. They helped us plan trips, organize PCR tests, arrange airport runs, complete laundry, and gave us helpful suggestions during our stay. The location is fantastic. It is less than a five minute walk to the downtown area, Rainbow street is also a five minute walk, and the Roman theatre is also close (from there you can take the stairs to the Amman Citadel). When we noticed an issue with the Internet in our room the guys fixed it straight away. I'd recommend Sydney Hotel for anybody who is visiting Amman for a short trip or for the first time. I stayed at Sydney for almost 40 days. This is the perfect place for short visits but also for longer stays. If you wanted to be at our own and have a quiet atmosphere, this was possible at any time but again thanks to the nice courtyard you could also hang out there with other guests and the staff. The rooms are very clean and have almost anything you need. It is perfectly located The staff assists you in anything you need and are always supportive. When I go back to Amman I will definitely stay there again Thank you!

This is a very nice hostel ; clean , comfortable , good looking , very near to downtown where you can almost find whatever you need. The most important thing is the attending personnel. Sari, Bassam , Iman are all very friendly , honest , open-minded , enlightened , helpful, lively and willing to assist you whenever needed.

Love this place! I stayed here a couple of times while visiting Amman. Bassam and Sari are great, the place is neat and cozy, the management takes good care of the guests, the employees and ensures that everybody has a good experience from arriving until leaving - even Saleh, the driver, is great - and their location is outstanding!

This hotel was fabulous. Well situated to get to downtown Amman (1 minute walk). Good amenities, safe, trustable, friendly and helpful staff. We were so happy and comfortable in the hotel, near to all what a tourist needs inside the old city, like shopping, Citadal the roman theater, Jordanien and Palastinen clothes, presents and foods etc. There’s an amarican man in the reciption called (Sari) he’s so cheerful, kindly and helpful. which makes the stay at the hotel enjoyable. he talks Fluent English, French and Arabic, very open minded. Some of the rooms are designed with scandinavian model, and they are clean and suitable for partner or family, You have as a guest laundry mashine to rent with very cheap fee available at the hotel, You have alot of suitable palces to smoke.…

Nested perfectly next to the downtown, this hotel made my stay in Amman an experience not to forget. In a positive way, of course, as one-bed budget room had all the basic amenities I needed and a regular daily cleaning upon request. The hotel was also willing to accommodate my small requests "on the go", such as recalculating my rate due to last-minute breakfast cancellations from my side. And it is definitely the people who make this place so outstanding. I very much enjoyed interactions with Sari and other hotel staff, especially the wise white cat!

Amazing place where you can feel like a family with the other guests and the hotel personnel. I definitely recommend this hotel! You will not regret it! it is close to downtown and 1st Circle - Rainbow street. It's cosy and very clean and the hotel staff (Bassam, Sary, and Diya) very friendly! Feel at home! I stayed at Sydney Hotel for 13 days during my visit to Amman Jordan. I had a wonderful experience during throughout. The staff were excellent especially Sary. I felt totally at home and made good friends were everyone of them. There are most welcoming, kind and sharing people I have ever met. Sary is like a brother to me and I am grateful for his friendship. I am so glad I had the opportunity to stay at Sydney Hotel because I believe the memories I made here will forever last in my life. Sydney Hotel's location is definitely the best because it is just a few steps aware from downtown for those who wants to experience authentic Amman with great people, good food and a great culture.
