Nice rooms, good breakfast with great choices of typical food. Very clean and friendly enviroment. Most close to any highlight in Old Jerusalem. Everything is walking distance within 10 minutes. It is a as peacefull as great located hotel with nice team to help
Andre and the staff in the reception are amazing. Very helpful, and polite, and Andre goes out of the way to help you out. The rooms are small and not as clean as I would have liked. Breakfast was very good with a large variety of food. Do not expect anything from the bar, the bartender doesn't show up, and when he did, they have very little to choose from. This hotel is all about location. Close to everything you want to see. 15 mins. To 1/2hr walk.
This Hotel was an excellent choice for myself and my wife We spent 4 days and really got a chance to explore the Old City particularly the often overlooked Jewish Quarter The Room was comfortable and the Breakfast was great
I gave this so cold “hotel” 2 stars only because of the location. If it wasn’t at that location they would get ZERO stars from us!!! Avoid this hotel at any cost! The hotel is dirty, rooms are extremely dirty, shower is a disaster. Few drops of water (warm. Not hot) and you will freeze while taking a shower due to the extremely low water pressure. Breakfast is poor. And we paid around 250 euros for this poor experience. We will NEVER come back!
We were a group of friends that stayed in 4 rooms. Upon arrival, after a day spent outside (in 30 degree weather), we were told that there was no water in the entire area. This meant that we had to get ready for a friend's wedding without showering. We were given mineral water bottles so we had a water-bottle shower, but this water problem was not in the hotel's control, so although it was very unpleasant - it wasn't their fault. The other problem was that the air-conditioning in 3 of the 4 rooms did not work. On top of not being able to shower, our rooms were like saunas. The staff at the front desk said they would handle it, when we came back later to the rooms, nothing had been handled. When we left again, they said that they would bring us fans, when we can back, only two rooms had received fans (ours did not). The third problem was that our room was facing the street/parking lot so even though we returned to our rooms at midnight, it took me a very long time to fall asleep because of all of the noise outside, I woke up several times at night and woke up very early to the sound of the "reverse" drive beeping from one of the vehicles in the parking lot. When we left in the morning, several of my friends expressed their unhappiness over the conditions, and even had to ask for some sort of compensation (which should have been offered without having to ask) and although it was the manager they spoke with, the answer they received was that there was an air-conditioning problem in all the rooms... and that's that. Nothing was done or offered. Even a "sorry" and small token would have been nice... they have a lot to learn about hospitality.…
This hotel maybe in a great position but the air conditioning does not go below 28 degrees. The rooms are very small and today on returning to the hotel needing the toilet and the ability to clean up (bowel issues) we find there is no water supply. The staff don’t seem to care.
the location is great which is why we chose this. however this room has two parts. one is a historic ancient building, and the other is a modern addition. this is not stated when booking rooms and is misleading. the old part is much nicer and obviously authentic. the newer part is not as great. the breakfast patio is very beautiful. it took us 3 days to discover there is a secret entrance without stairs straight to the Jerusalem allies. wish they told us sooner as we were struggling up the entrance stairs with a stroller. for some reason there are no kids' channels on tv which was very annoying. If they made a few changes they could be one of the best hotels in Jerusalem.
We chose the hotel because of its position inside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem close to the Western Wall. We had a beautiful room in the original part of the hotel. Breakfast in the courtyard was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable stay.
Someone from the hotel staff tried to steal from our room. Fortunately, my husband arrived just in time to stop the thief from taking money out of my purse and then the thief tried to physically restrain my husband in the hotel room. My husband called for help but no one came. The staff at the reception desk were not helpful so we had to call the police and file a report.
We stayed at the Sephardic House recently and really enjoyed it. We stayed in a deluxe room, which was clean and had a lovely view of Jerusalem and a portion of the wall surrounding the Old City. The bathroom wasn't huge but was adequate and clean. The room was quite and had a fridge. Room service was fast and attentive. Breakfast was included and featured a good selection of hot and cold foods. We'd stay there again - it is incredibly convenient for exploring the Old City of Jerusalem.
