Detailed Reviews
Strategically located.Restaurants and transportation a walking distance from the hotel.
Our room was a simple recently renovated room with a small shower.
Tv with a streamer. Quiet and comfortable. There was a small refrigerator and an electric kettle with coffee bags and tea.
There was a microwave in the ground floor.
No elevator but for us was ok.
In short, excellent to explore Jerusalem.
No lobby, no other facilities but great hotel if you are looking for a central location. We recommend.

Stayed for one night on a quick trip to Jerusalem while in Israel for business. Daniela and her staff were very polite and helpful. Because the hotel is on a pedestrian street, the parking is arranged with a local lot. I recommend calling the hotel for directions to the lot. When I got there the lot owner wanted to charge more than Daniela had told me it would be. I called her and she spoke with the owner and got everything fixed. There is no elevator but the desk clerk offered to help me carry my bags upstairs. the single room with interior courtyard was clean and basic and of good size. There is no desk or chair. the breakfast voucher is also good for lunch so I took others advice and grabbed a bagel don the street myself for breakfast. I used the voucher for a nice sandwich and drink for lunch. Easy to walk to mahane yehuda market and the Old CIty. For $80 a night it can't be beat at that location with a free meal and free wi-fi. Also, the building is very secure. I felt comfortable returning after dinner in the dark.

My husband, son and I stayed here for 2 nights in June 2010. The La Perle hotel is wonderful! Great location just off Ben Yehuda Street. Right across from a SuperPharm, bakery, ice cream shop and small hummus stand. Within easy walking distance of the old city (10min), shops (right outside) and the Shouk (5 min). Parking is pay per day and you must have the woman that works the front desk help you find where it is. They have worked out a deal with the parking lot which will be much cheaper than anything nearby. Also – when we went the streets were all under construction which makes it even trickier to get to since the hotel is on a pedestrian only street. The hotel décor is modern in style with shared balconies that overlook the amazing street scene in Jerusalem. The staff was excellent and amazingly helpful. The bathroom was small but nice – above average for Jerusalem. Breakfast was a voucher to the café right downstairs and was very good. Excellent value, good safe clean room, and excellent location – would definitely stay here again!

Great location right off Ben Yehuda St. Nice, reasonably priced hotel. Breakfast vouchers to the delicious bakery down the street were a plus. The major negative is if you have a room facing the street you hear extremely loud music from the disco across the street.

great location...right off of ben yehuda street on a pedestrian road (so fairly quiet at night)
rooms: ikea style design, sober but tasteful (white bedspread, white walls, minimal furniture)
careful with the beds, however, if you have or want to avoid back problems. the mattress is a foam ikea mattress so there is no support for your body.
service: nice reception, but lacking highly in recommendations and knowledge of the country's sights.
in addition, no service (room cleaning, etc) from friday night until sunday midday...which means if you have wet towels from a friday afternoon shower, don't expect any new ones until sunday afternoon.
and the prices aren't lowered for shabbat, of course!

Excellent staffs and good services. This hotel location is very closed to seeing sights and restaurants. They also provide us a tour visit around the city with lowest price if you plan to book outside. We love to stay here again when we have another trip back to Hue. Thank you.

I booked late so couldn't be picky with my hotel choices. I booked a double room with balcony and it was moderately priced for Jerusalem (I have stayed 3 times before).
This hotel may have been boutique back in the day, it is a little dated now and poor room facilities and no breakfast but still it was very clean.
No elevator for elderly or poor mobility but very nice check in staff will offer to help with luggage. the walls are very thin and noise heard from outside of hotel but this does not bother me. If it would bother you - don't book here! As a solo traveller I felt safe (even though there are no staff on site after 6pm)
The selling points are this hotel are the location and very lovely staff. They couldn't have been kinder/more helpful and reading some of the reviews below they must have been different staff.
I would book again, if the price was right!

+1
First, remember that there is no 24 h desk! The staff is leaving at 18:00 and comes back at 08:30 am. Of course, you have some phone no. for emergency case.
Second, there are 3 floors, and no elevator. However, the overall value for money was good. The place is quiet and clean. Very well located.
There is good Wi-Fi, and at the entrance you will find a shared kitchen, with tea\coffee, microwave and refrigerator.

This was a super base for exploring Jerusalem. It was more like renting a room and sharing a kitchen than staying in a hotel which was perfect. The rooms were quiet, clean and modern. Very comfortable bed. Great kitchen. Excellent location, just off the main tram line and a ten minute walk from the Old City of Jerusalem. Lots of nice restaurants, cafes and shops nearby. Very good value for Jerusalem. Highly recommended.

Just returned from the middle east and made my bed in this hotel for 6 days. It was one of the nicest surprises I ever encountered in my global travels. Place is the heart of all the action, very close to the Jaffa Gate, near public transportation. The room was quite spacious for a small size boutique hotel. Besides being very clean, it had small touches (a nice chair to relax in; information about the area; hot water always available; comfortable pillows and mattress, reasonable value. The big plus here....its manager, Daniela. She should right a book on her to run a small hotel. She was always available by phone or in writing to assist you with any question that you might have before and during your stay. She was unbelievable and deserves to be voted in the top overseas hotel manager in the world. Just a wonderful and professional woman....brava!
