I went with my friends to the restaurant floor 4 and i was shocked about everything there ! The service is very bad and the food is very bad and not tasty and the waiters are so rude with us they dont give a great service ! So bad ! I had been to this restaurant a long time ago, but today I was surprised by everything
I am definitely not the type to post negative reviews about places but I feel like other travelers should be aware... I booked this hotel for a trip with my father and due to Covid, Americans are unable to travel to Israel without special permission. And who can blame them for not wanting us at this point... For 2 weeks hotels.com and myself attempted to contact the property only to find that the property was closed due to Covid. I was told by Hotels.com 4 times that they couldn't reach the manager about the reservation. Last night I called again and was told that they had emailed again and if the hotel didn't respond in 24 hours to call back for a refund. GREAT! No response for 24 hours so I call back and after 2 weeks of not being able to reach the hotel because they were closed someone reaches the manager tonight after I was calling back for a refund. That manager denies the refund because now it is the day of the reservation... mind you google currently still says that the hotel is temporarily closed. We will be rebooking somewhere else in Jerusalem when we return. The lack of communication for TWO WEEKS just cost me over $600. You'd think during a global pandemic we might think about a voucher system at least... my emails to the property still are unanswered. Steer clear.…
I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Each morning breakfast was delicious with a lovely view of the Mount of Olives. Also had one of my best dinners in Israel at their restaurant. The hotel location was also great, just a 5 minute walk from the Damascus Gate . I enjoyed being in the Palesintian neighborhood as everyone was very friendly and there were lots of good food spots nearby. Would love to return to the City of Peace and stay at this hotel!
Our group stayed at the National hotel in east Jerusalem from the 9th - 14th March 2020. The hotel staff were very welcoming and professional. Rooms very clean and Spacious. Breakfast and dinner was great..fit for a king!
No star rating for The National Hotel, Jerusalem! I booked this hotel in March 2019 on Booking.Com, The next day after booking, I tried to cancel due to a serious family emergency. The National Hotel, Jerusalem had already charged the full amount to my credit card even though the reservation was 5 days later. They refused to refund the total amount or even a partial refund. I realize hotels have policies but they could evaluate each circumstance and have some consideration. I tried calling long distance a few times and emailing them to get this resolved but since I will not be able to use the accommodation but they are not responding, Their website has been under construction for months, I have sent numerous emails regarding this matter. SAD. THEY DON'T CARE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL! THERE ARE MUCH NICER AND FRIENDLIER SERVICE AVAILABLE AT OTHER PROPERTIES. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL! …
