The Eldan Hotel is strictly kosher and centrally located, even within walking distance to tourist sights, great restaurants and transportation. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous throughout our 14 day stay. They couldn't do enough for us from the manager, Adi,the rest of the front desk staff and even the housekeepers. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the entire hotel. I would stay again and I have already recommended the Eldan to many family and friends that travel to Israel.

Room Tip: Room location doesn't really matter since they have a Shabbos elevator and keys for Shabbos.

This is a relatively small hotel and honestly nothing fancy but we had a great weekend here with our extended family. The location is amazing, just up the street from the Mamilla shopping area and a short walk to the old City.
The rooms were comfortable and the "family" rooms are essentially two connecting rooms which was really nice for the parents.
Not as huge of a buffet as some of the more pricey hotels but adequate and tasty choices

We had a good stay at Hotel Eldan for five nights six days in the last week of February 2020. People attending at the Reception were really nice, understanding and helpful. The hotel was great in service and had excellent staff. The room with two double beds was a little small for three people. Housekeeping was excellent and interiors were well maintained. There is no restaurant within the hotel which is quite a drawback at times. Also drinking water bottles should be made available everyday in the rooms. Even coffee creamer should be provided in the room service. This hotel provides complementary soup, tea, coffee and some snacks in the lounge during evenings which was a very good experience. Overall it was a great place to stay. We would love to stay here again.

So close to the old City, Eldan is very well located. Rooms are very comfortable though the bathroom is a little on the smaller side. Housekeeping was not ok the first day but once we mentioned it to the staff it was great.
Breakfast was good with a wide variety of cheese. They have complimentary snacks laid out in the evening with a nice hot vegetarian soup. Very welcome.
Adam at the front desk went out of his way to make us comfortable and provided exemplary service. All the other staff were very professional too.
All in all we enjoyed our stay totally.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Breakfast was really delicious, with a wide and delicious array of options and excellent coffee. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, front facing, and we were fortunate to have it a bit earlier than check in time.
A real treat was the tea/coffee and cake served each afternoon in the lobby. A really lovely touch, especially in the winter weather.
Location is ideal, with a short walk to all the popular sites and destinations - Old City, German Colony, Ben Yehuda St etc.
They kept our bags, kindly, till our flight, we'll after checkout.
All in all, a wonderful boutique hotel, which we will stay in again!

We had to switch rooms upon arrival because the hotel made a mistake with bed set-up, which was frustrating. The phones didn't work in either room, so we had to visit the front desk in person for any needs. At one point, we asked the front desk if we could borrow an adaptor so we could charge our phones. Not only did they not have a single one (they seemed uncertain), but they sent us to a location that did not have them at all. Breakfast was good and the location of the hotel is excellent. However, for the price that you pay, it is incredible to me that the service and attentiveness to detail is so lacking.

I stayed 8 nights at the Eldan in October of 2022. I had booked a small room and they upgraded me when I checked in. The room was quiet and functional but the TV didn't function. Management said they were having internet problems in certain rooms The times and asked to change rooms but they said none were available. I was given a free bottle of drinking water for my trouble.
The Eldan has a wonderful location, across from the King David and the YMCA 3 Arches hotel, and one can easily walk to the old city from it. That said, should I return to Jerusalem I wouldn't stay there. The rooms are tired, the breakfast is nothing special, and having no TV just further cements my negative feelings.

The room was clean. We appreciated the handicap equipped toilet. The shower had a grab bar, but there was no bath mat. We later learned that we could have requested one. The food was phenomenal. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning, the snacks in the early evening, and the special meals we had ordered for Shabbat. The servers were responsive and the service was excellent. When we had extra guests arrive for one of our meals, the staff was very professional in accommodating them.
The receptionists were also pleasant and worked hard to accommodate our requests.
