Very impressed. Hotel gave us a free upgrade to a renovated room, which was really generous of them. Room itself had new furniture, light fixtures and flooring. Room came with complimentary chocolates and water bottles. Felt safe that everything followed MOH guidelines, even the modified breakfast.

Worst, never saw such poor service. Mind that the hotel provides false and misleading information to its customers regarding payment on their official website and other platforms like booking.com. They claim that they charge extra 17% from ISRAELI citizens only, but this turned out not to be the case. I asked to talk to the manager and he was extremely rude with me: he made me wait for almost an hour, and in the end he said something like if you don’t want to pay, you may go (and he refused to wear a mask in front of me during the corona pandemic). Also I couldn’t cancel, since the reservation is non-refundable. Absolutely not recommended, there are way better options around the city.

Dear Valeriya, Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed review, and going through the trouble of posting this in several different websites. We feel that if you go into details, you should bring all of the facts. The fact is that according to the Israeli law you are not considered a tourist, you have been in Israel for about 2 years with a Student Permit, known as A/2. This type of permit does not allow Zero VAT. Here is a copy from the government website: "Zero VAT will apply to services (from the services listed above) subject to the following conditions: 1. The service is provided to a tourist staying in Israel subject to a B/2, B/3, B/4 visa or visiting permit or a person entering Israel according to an order or special permit (diplomats, foreign policy representatives, etc.,)." We at the hotel follow country laws and must charge VAT according to the law. We do not decide, and definitely not publish false information. As to the Manager not wearing a mask – you forgot to mention that he was standing behind the desk and behind a clear Perspex divider, and not close to you with no divider. We follow the Ministry of Health instructions. Also, you did not mention that the "Worst I ever experienced around Jerusalem" included a free upgrade from the basic room you reserved to the new renovated DeLuxe room, with a balcony and the best view in town. We hope you enjoyed that. Be well, Liat Mashawy Assistant General Manager

LOCATION: downtown, a 12-15' walk away from New Gate or Jaffa Gate; easy to find by car, but there is no space to even temporarily park a car out front to (un)load luggage. PREMISES: fairly new SERVICE: staff is helpful and efficient BREAKFAST: good choice of products ROOM: sufficiently spacious, but cleaning could be better, some street noise though; the bathroom was efficient and with everything in working order. WiFi: reliable and fast in the room and all common places OVERALL: no charm at all, but modern and efficient; more recommended for business than tourism; not great value for money though.

Stayed here for 2 nights after an amazing tour. Just what we needed to relax and unwind. However the evening meal leaves a lot to be desired so would suggest trying out restaurants near by. Some staff are lovely, others quite surly but that happens everywhere. The biggest issue for us was housekeeping was below what I would expect rooms were tidied but bins not emptied and glasses not removed

I loved the balcony overlooking the street and the room was quiet with the door closed. Big clean bed and moderately sized rooms, also clean. Second floor veranda to sit with other guests and have a cocktail. Bar, restaurant, mostly buffet style, but it was a very nice place to stay.
