Extraordinary accommodation that combines the past of Jerusalem during the Templar period.., the extraordinary location in the German colony and the proximity to the old city provide a dreamy and unforgettable vacation They took care of us from the moment we arrived, it made our experience extremely pleasurable
This was our first stay at the Orient. The rooftop pool was exceptional. The service was amazing. The concierge team and desk team were helpful for all our needs. We were always greeted as family. The breakfast is recommended as the best in Jerusalem. Spa, gym, and restaurants support the luxury that one can come to enjoy and expect. Great location across the street from the First train station and all its activities. Running and biking trail also a great benefit for us. The location at the German COlony provided all the access to shops and restaurants (Kosher and non). We will stay here again
Our stay at the hotel was exceptional. The food was very delicious. Very nice and welcoming staff. The rooms were clean, spacious and well decorated. Everything was perfect. Definitely I would love to come back.
Great hotel. Beautiful to look at, great location (easy walk to old city and around corner to good restaurants). Staff were excellent. Fairly new hotel so everything is clean and fresh. Amazing breakfast buffet. Definitely would recommend this hotel.
We loved our stay at this incredibly beautiful hotel. The rooftop pool overlooking Jerusalem was spectacular. Our room was beautiful and clean. The breakfast buffet was the best we ever experienced and we are seasoned travellers. The staff were amazingly kind and helpful. The stay at the Orient was one of the highlights of our visit to Israel.
We have been guests at the hotel for over 2 weeks, with very hot temperatures, so have spent many hours by the pool. Being on the tenth floor, the views are amazing, but the beds they have on the mezzanine are the most comfortable we have ever lounged on, so we are happy to stay! Hadad and his team go out of their way to make sure the guests are comfortable and happy, and whilst the pool isn’t deep, when the temperature is adjusted, it makes for a refreshing dip from the heat. Thank you again Hadad for making us feel at home.
Over many years we have chosen to stay at the Orient for many reasons. We are checking out now after a five day stay and am so disappointed and will not choose to stay here on my next visit (I am in Jerusalem once or twice a year). We have traveled the world and stay at five star hotels. Service is the most important asset of this type of hotel. From the first day our hotel room was dirty when we arrived and had to be ‘re’?cleaned. Most days I had to call to get the room recleaned. Floors weren’t swept or washed, pillow cases not changed, bathroom floors and counters not cleaned. Whatever request we had was always met with a hard no and no understanding of the customer. Front desk staff seems scared of the manager. The food, which was always very fresh and abundant, often seemed like a mix of leftovers from the day before. Salads were tried looking. Tables were not cleared and waiters came over once but didn’t return to ask if we want anything else. The last night we were unable to sleep because of loud shouting, running and noise in the hotel. What a shame, that this hotel has changed so much. P.S. it wouldn’t hurt to train front desk staff to be warm and engaging with customers.…
Prior to our current stay we have stayed in the Orient Jerusalem multiple times and always enjoyed staying there. Unfortunately, our experience was below our expectations. The front staff thought they were off duty and the housekeeping were inept. Twice in five days they left my room door open after cleaning. The turndown service if you call it a service was a rude knock on the door asking if we needed anything. Besides towels they offered nothing and didn’t prepare the room in any noticeable measure. Even breakfast which is often the highlight had an over abundance of staff doing little and walking in the other direction. They didn’t clear the table or appear interested in offering any service. But the worst review goes to the front of the hotel security person. He was rude and condescending and made you feel that he and his team could not care that we paid to stay in the hotel. The bottom line is that that the Orient Hotel is going downhill quickly and it’s unlikely I would stay there again. My rating of 3/5 is due to location and sheets. The pillows however were 1/5. They were lumpy and should have been replaced years ago. Very disappointed.…
The staff at the front desk are sooo rude. They are not trained. And will not hesitate to Insult you. What else there is no spa only massage room the massage where especially bad. And the rooftop pool overcrowded with kids running and making noise. If you like to be insulted and have hyper active kids this is the place for you. If not, avoid at all Cost.
Had the great pleasure of eating dinner at the Orient Hotel last night with my family. The atmosphere was perfect and welcoming. People came in and were able to observe the Sabbath as well as feast on the amazing buffet dinner. The staff was attentive and courteous during the entire meal. which was so varied and aesthetically served. Everyone in our party found many delicious dishes from appetizers, main courses and desserts!
