I was volunteering on a farm in the West Bank. Another volunteer told me of a great hostel in Bethlehem - Bunksurfing Hostel. A couple of weeks I found myself unexpectedly in Bethlehem and ended up at Bunksurfing - it was great. It is run by a family of brothers all of whom are exceedingly friendly. I learned a great deal about being a Palestinian from them all. I got to enjoy Palestinian breakfasts. It was wonderful

I was so unfortunate to forget my raincoat at Salahs hostel when we left after our stay, but luckily Salah found it and was so very kind to send it back to Denmark. Now it's a lot easier to cope with the Danish weather again ;) Also recommend the hostel for a budget friendly and clean place to stay in Bethlehem!

Bunksurfing Hostel was recommended to me by friends in Detroit, MI. I almost never stay in hostels so I was surprised that I was so at home there. I stayed two nights longer than I planned and will be back. Salah and his brothers are people I am happy to now know. Their hospitality is sincere. I booked a private room, which was clean and spacious with a tv and a private bathroom, but I spent a lot of time in the common areas, meeting great people.

The owner, and the rest of the staff, were amazing! It felt more like a family rather than a hostel. The bed and the lounge area were very comfy, everything was working perfectly, there even was a heater in each room which we could regulate as we preferred. There even was coffee and tea included, which is amazing considering the value-for-money. The location was also good - reaching the Grotto and the other places was very straightforward. I’d definitely come back and recommend this place to anybody!

We visited Bethlehem during Christmas 2019 and Salah's Hostel was our home - truly warm and inviting. This hostel is in the heart of Bethlehem which means we could stroll around the town and get to Manger Square within 10 minutes. Salah and his staff were truly the kindest and most welcoming hotel staff we have met (and we have been to Palestine numerous times before). Our Christmas Eve was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will cherish forever. We hope to see Salah next summer and maybe even spend another Palestinian Christmas in 2020 at the hostel!

We stayed two nights in the bunksurfing hostel and had a lovely time there. It's located in the center of Bethlehem and the hostel has an amazing roof terrace where it's really chill to enjoy an Arabic coffee in the sun. Try the traditional breakfast, you won't be disappointed. The family running the hostel is very kind and helpful. If I go back to Bethlehem, I'll book a place in this hostel for sure!

Salah’s hostel is a clean and comfortable place to stay. It is well priced and excellent value. Salah’s mother prepared a traditional dinner that was tasty and authentic. Although every bed was occupied and the hostel is not huge, no one felt crowded or overlooked as a valued guest. Our private room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The nicest feature is the warm welcome and we felt very much at home. The location is excellent. As ours was a winter stay, we did not get to enjoy the rooftop lounge but I can see that in the summer, it is a wonderful treat.

Hostel was alright, had the smallest bathroom known to mankind. Couldn’t even turn around in it. The owner was extremely nice and helpful to all. At night he randomly came and slept in the dorm. A little odd but whatever, then he started ripping the worst farts known to man. Half the room was laughing/annoyed.

We had a really nice stay at bunksurfing hostel, Salah and his brothers offer everything you need, they are really good hosts ! Salah‘s mother is a brilliant cook, so I would definitely recommend to take advantage of the offer to have real Palestinian dinner at the hostel (especially on the rooftop where you can enjoy a beautiful view during dinner).

I had a lovely time during my 2-night stay. Salah was very helpful in organizing a taxi to take me to the airport in tel aviv early in the morning. The food (breakfast and dinner) was delicious! I will definitely be coming back!
