I had stayed here with groups in 2015 and 2018 when it was the Grand Park Hotel Bethlehem. Now under new ownership for about 6 months, I noticed a number of changes. While the hotel was somewhat neglected under the previous management, it is now receiving the attention needed. The rooms are being better attended. The dining room was moved from a bottom floor with low ceilings is now on the 7th floor with a spectacular view. A smart move by the new owners. The quality of food for breakfast and dinner is of high quality and the presentation is appealing. It’s location to Manger Square through a short walk along Star St is a real draw. Yes, there is some sidewalk work occurring near the reception entrance, but that is another improvement for guests. The GM and staff are working hard to make wonderful improvements to this property. Whether it is a group stay or individuals it will be enjoyable with the new management.…
Probably good value, but considerably worn. Carpets in room with rips, but otherwise clean. Nice buffet. Had very large group of 7 tour buses and was our first stop on a Holy Land tour. Entry is a bit of a problem. Lobby comes off steeply slanting road with construction obstacles. Hard for some of the older people to manage.
The only things I liked about this hotel was the view from the top floor restaurant and the burger place situated at the ground floor, YOU BURGER, where we had great food at a decent price. My biggest problem with this hotel was with the cleaning routine of the rooms. We traveled with a large group and we found out that some rooms got complimentary beverages daily, whereas some did not, some rooms got daily clean towels, others only when left on the floor. Also, the rooms were old, the carpet on the floor was stained and the balcony was dirty, with bottles and cigarettes from the previous visitors. The foodn wasn't very impressive, either. There are only 2 elevators in the hotel and I always had to take the stairs in order to get to the restaurant or the ground floor, which were 2 and 5 levels below the lobby.…
A group of us stayed at this hotel in February of 2019. Rooms were clean and had all the modern conveniences, staff were wonderful and food was good. Only problem was the elevator...there are only two and they don't both go to the street level, which makes check-out a little longer than I would like. With a group of 42, moving luggage to street level was not fun. Otherwise, we had a good stay at this property.
They said that this is one of the “best” hotels in town, stay away from it. Rooms are dirty and old. If you come to Israel it is better to stay in Jerusalem. My room was dirty and all the 6th floor had a very, very bad smell from the swears. Food was ok and the staff at restaurant was friendly. This trip is so beautiful that you don’t want to have a bad experience with your hotel.
Had a great stay at the Grand Park, however the entrance was under construction which made for a little difficulty while entering or exiting. We arrived late in the evening and was pleasantly surprised they staff had saved dinner for us. (The rest of our tour group had already eaten). Very hospitable.
How can this hotel be rated 5 star ? Only shampoos were provided on our first nite. Its very cold they dont turn the heater on even if you set it to 24 C as the temp outside is in the teens. You have to wear warmers indoors ! No amenities like stationary and pen in the room. Only two elevators one of which they control for luggage when its the only one to GF for the bus. One time it was not running we had to take 6 flights down to GF ! The resto for bkfast and dinner is soo cramped its difficult to get to the sit. Food was okay though...
I’m one of the most travelled people in the world and this hotel is the WORST ever! I was with a tour group which was the sole reason I did not immediately fly back home at the sight of this hotel. Filthy carpets, repulsive toilet/shower and sinister room overall. The dining room was disgusting and the food was yuck!! They only had 2 tiny elevators which were used both as a service elevator and an elevator for guests. Customer service is non-existent. This place is a nightmare 😱. Run for your life!!!
Well you’re in Palestine so this is one of the second best hotels I was told by our tour guide . Location: We were told not to go outside because it could be dangerous. We were walking around in a group at 11 PM and no one even paid attention to us. During the day there 3. Of us ladies walking through the market and again, no bothered us. On the contrary, people were so friendly and just happy to be there and to help their business . Rooms: Pretty good, If you’re a light sleeper though: Make sure to check if your window closes properly, if not call someone right away to fix it or change rooms . Every night we had people showing off their cars, listening to loud music and drifting under the hotel window, our window didn’t close property so we couldn’t report it at night and during the day we were out and about and forgot Location: great! Walking distance to the market which is huge and cheaper than Jerusalem. Food: ok. Eggs, local food , lots of salads and fruit, desert and hot and cold beverages Definitely recommend it …
Grand Park Hotel is observed as home away from home. Staff led by manager Fadil are professional and courteous. Food is super and our overall experience was fantastic. I will recommend Grand Park hotel to any groups or family holiday
