We stayed in the Shepherd Hotel for three nights during our Holy Land trip in November 2022, and we found it acceptable. The rooms were clean, the bedding comfortable, and it was quiet so we slept well. The bathroom didn't have any bathing soap or shampoo, but it did have hand soap by the sink. We had to call the front desk a couple of times before someone came and got the AC working. There was always delay getting to the hotel in the evening because of the military checkpoints in Bethlehem. The breakfast buffet was good with a lot of selection.
Fairly central - walking distance to Manger Square. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The area outside is a bit rough. Good rooms. You probably would not want to stay more than a couple of nights - that is more to do with Bethlehem than the hotel.
Great good. Good quality services. The personnel is kind and prepared , they speak English very well so it won’t be any issue to get along . The reception personnel is very communicative and helpful . Clean rooms all the time . Clean towels and bed sheets daily
It is very nice 4stats hotel, located in the middle of the city . You don't need a car to go shopping because it is already in the middle of the market where modern shops and nice restaurants . I really recommend this hotel. Nice eservice , staff and people.
We stayed for 4 nights to our recent visit to Holy Land. It is a very good hotel clean rooms very good food and very helpful staff. Very rich breakfast and also not far from Jerusalems Holy Places. Is only 2 minutes walking to Shepherds Greek Orthodox Curch
We stayed here 2 nights during my visit to Israel! the hotel is in a very busy area but during the night it was very quiet! we could rest even though it was a bit cold in the room. the air conditioning was not hot and being in January it was a little cold! I had a view of the city which was very nice! friendly staff. breakfast and dinner quite poor and without too many options. we were a bigger group and the people there were nice and gave us the conference room to use without any other cost. The room was quite spacious and clean! instead the bathroom should be renovated. I expect to return to Israel but I will probably choose another hotel if I arrive in the area.
Nice personal, good place and good dinner! Located at 1,5 km of Nativity Church, exchange money very close to hotel! The personal were very nice and they were ready to serve us the breakfast even in the mourning early! For our group of Pellegrine was very important! Thanks
We arrived late evening. We were given a room where the bathroom was not clean, the shower broken and two tiles missing between the tub and the wall. We were told they were fully booked and would have to stay there. Lack of staff because of a big party in the dinning hall, so the bathroom could not be cleaned. The next day we got move. We were there for 4 days and everyday got the same food. Awful! Really, 4-Star Hotel, terribly overrated!
Terrible rooms 107 and 217. Both rooms had rattly air-conditioners (probably need replacing). The showerhead in 217 sends waterin every direction, and, in addition, keeps falling off its top holder, which needs attending to. Seriously, 4-star seems overrated.
we are a pilgrimage group staying in this hotel and as I am writing this review from room no: 501. we asked for bottle water and was denied. the front office staff identified himself as Muhamad Ali and smirking at my request for water, which he denied very rudely. I asked to speak to manger on duty also which he denied!!. very terrible experience. will not be coming back , do not recommend
