A group of us stayed at this hotel in February of 2019. Rooms were clean and had all the modern conveniences, staff were wonderful and food was good. Only problem was the elevator...there are only two and they don't...
Had a great stay at the Grand Park, however the entrance was under construction which made for a little difficulty while entering or exiting. We arrived late in the evening and was pleasantly surprised they staff...
The Hotel is virtually across the street from 'the wall' and the Walled off Hotel and a short walk from the checkpoint. By crossing the checkpoint, there is access to a regular bus service into Jerusalem. There is...
I only stayed one night. I needed to cross through the 300 checkpoint early and wanted to be close. The hotel is literally across the street so it's a great location for that but perhaps not for other things like...
I was so unfortunate to forget my raincoat at Salahs hostel when we left after our stay, but luckily Salah found it and was so very kind to send it back to Denmark. Now it's a lot easier to cope with the Danish...
Bunksurfing Hostel was recommended to me by friends in Detroit, MI. I almost never stay in hostels so I was surprised that I was so at home there. I stayed two nights longer than I planned and will be back. Salah...
We arrived two days before Christmas after a long journey in a foreign kand. The first clue was that they never answered the phone when we called to try and get better directions. When the taxi driver eventually found the place, he was given a key by the man in the gricery store and so we let ourselves in...no one in sight, no guests to be seen...looked like a stage set .... There was no signage to say anything and we wondered if we were at the right place. Beat a hasty retreat and being seasoned travellers do not want to pull an establishment down but please be a bit more professional
The best cost/benefit for a private room in Bethlehem. It is 10 minutes walking to the Church of Nativity. The owner, Carmen, is a lovely lady who will help you with all your needs. Breakfast not included but really good.
Ok as it is the first review for this place i will make sure it's as informative as possible! I would never have found this place if it was not for making some friends in Jerusalem who were moving on to this place. When i first arrived in Bethlehem and asked the Taxi driver it took him a few minutes to realise where it was i wanted to go when he dropped me off it felt like the middle of nowhere, i couldn't see any hostel sign and i'll be honest i did panic a little. I wondered over to the building he had pointed to and went up some stairs still finding no signs i knocked on a door and was lucky enough to come across someone who knew the owner....well this is where my worrie ended! The hostel is run by a lovely family, they are all very friendly and nothing feels like too much trouble, it's a very comfortable place and very affordable, there are a few conveniance stores located next door and across the street, which aren't amazingly stocked but will do for the essentials, the area itself is very quiet and to be honest this night in the hostel was my most realistic experience of Palestine! I went out for a cigarette and some local kids joined me all trying to talk English and enjoying the company, the family who run the hostel offered me food, warm water and towels, use of the computer and one of the family friends who works the night shift even played cards with us! It is not on the same scope as a purpose run hostel, with tours etc but this really is a quaint, lovely place to stay. For a real taste of Bethlehem i would recommend in a heartbeat! also to note it is only a short walk up a hill from Manger square and the church of the nativity!…
