I have just returned from my lovely break in Istanbul. My first stay at this particular Shangri La Property and of course it lived up to all our expectations and more. The check in was super easy and efficient, All the front desk were great, all Covid precautions were explained carefully. Ali and the other gentleman at the Concierge were super helpful and guided me to my new favourite chocolatier in Istanbul 'Pelit'... The rooms are super spacious, clean and have all the amenities you would expect in a 5* property. Abdul Rahman was the kind gentleman who left fresh flowers in our room daily, and made sure we had plenty of water and anything else we needed. .. Breakfast was a dream, a great selection of food with the stunning Bosphorus as a back drop, Ufek in particular was wonderful and made sure our breakfast each morning was amazing, he also accommodated us super early on the day we were leaving, which we are very grateful for! Spa access is limited with Covid 19, however this did not stop me from getting a 90 minute DREAM massage from the lovely Puy, her hands worked like magic and I felt reenergised and relaxed. I cannot recommend her enough! Shang Palace is temporarily closed, but some of the items from the menu are available to order in the room service menu, and we tried most of it! My favourite was the seafood soup and noodles... Overall, the property is beautiful, the location is perfect and all the staff are willing to go above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. I will be recommending to my family and friends and definitely heading back in the near future.…

I stayed in this wonderful hotel at the end of November, during the pandemic and quarantine. Despite this, the hotel was as comfortable and safe as possible! Service at the highest level, beautiful and stylish design, spacious rooms with beautiful views of the Bosphorus. Excellent breakfasts. In the evening you can dine at the hotel, the menu is very varied and everything is not very expensive. The staff are very helpful. The manager Ece Ummak proved herself to be a professional and did everything to make the stay unforgettable, she also kindly agreed to upgrade the room category, for which she is very grateful. the hotel is a solid top five. will definitely be back.
