Located in the city center, our J Hotel was established with Korean and Japanese investment and is business class hotel, which meets international standards. For comforting business visitors and travelers, Korean, Japanese and English interpreter and hotel coordinator are constantly rendering service for 24 hours.
All staff are friendly and kind except one guy name Telman sitting front desk young guy with glasses (I’m hoping he said his name right when I asked him), dark hair, very rude guy screams and loses temper quickly. I had three incidents with him, once I had heavy smoke smell in my room, even though it’s non smoking Hotel someone in another room was smoking and smell coming to my room I told him and he lost temper started screaming, (the hotel should put smoke detectors in rooms so people won’t smoke) Second time I was asking for direction and I had to repeat what he said to make sure I understood the direction correctly, it was my first day in UB so I was not familiar with streets. He raised his voice and threw my map on his desk walked away to his computer and turned his face and literally ignored me. That is bad, very very bad and if he can not work in hospitality and has anger issues then he should not work in a hotel nor interact with people bec of his anger issue. Third was another issue again with him I won’t go in detail as my review is getting long. Telman is completely unhelpful and rude and screams when you talk to him. Sadly most staff don’t speak any English at all, so during his shifts he is the only one speaks English but he screams and looses temple fast. So it’s difficult to communicate with anyone else bec of language barrier and this Telman guy is rude. Only the location of this hotel is good, it is close to the square, 15 min walk to square, cross street there is a Nice to CU supermarket. Otherwise this Telman dude front desk is horrible. I’m hoping he said his name correct when I asked him what is your name bec he was screaming at me and I told him you are rude what is your name.…

I was on a tour and stayed at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at all of the amenities in the room, including a washing machine and a fridge/freezer. The view was quite nice from the windows that were on two sides of the room. There is a nice indoor/outdoor bar nearby. The hotel is a little out of the way though, and the streets seem to have lots of large puddles. The shower had good pressure until you put on the hot water. Also, on two occasions, I asked for wake up calls and never received them. I would have been very upset if I hadn't woken up on my own.

Stayed here a couple of nights as part of an Intrepid tour and loved it... the best hotel we stayed at on the tour. Rooms are big, modern and clean. They include a tv which had loads of English channels (not easy to come by) as well as a fridge which is handy. Included buffet breakfast is awesome and service from both the breakfast staff and guys on the front desk was perfect! Oh; and the location is great too :) Thanks, if I’m back in UB I’ll definitely be staying there again.

All in all this place is average. Nothing to complain about it really. The breakfast is a mixed Asian/ Continental and the rooms are clean and decent sized. Some rooms have laundry facilities but most don't. The staff are friendly.

I don't know about the J Hotel. But I re visited J Korean Restaurant on the 1st floor of the Hotel. It was good service. However they almost fully reserved insider Room tables they let us sit in outside designed area, which is covered by wall. In sunny days they let them open and people could sit outside. Food was good. I think they have Korean Chef. The Korean owner man was hardworking. And staff girls were kind enough. Restroom was very tiny in the Lobby area. Glad they served us, even they had bookings.

Only ten minutes from Peace Street this hotel was a great find. The room was spacious and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The staff are very helpful and speak good English. There is also luggage storage and the yak socks are the best price in town.
