Detailed Reviews
The staff at this hotel are friendly and try their best, but as with any guesthouse in Cambodia there are several challenges related to (mis)communication and inefficiency. The hotel is not clean, but it is slightly better than many places I have stayed in the country although there were problems with some of the mattresses on my last trip. The biggest problem is the owners. They are very, very dour and it seems that they don't really care about their client or their staff. For example, the woman owner gets mad if you eat outside too much. And no matter how much business you give them, they will still overcharge for everything - it is better to find your own bus tickets and other items outside. It's better to arrange things directly with the tuk tuk drivers outside (such as airport trips and sight seeing) and to leave the hotel out of the transaction. Keep careful tally if you keep a tab (get a receipt) - it always seems to be an error in their favor. If you want to buy Capital bus tickets they will not pick you up at this hotel because the hotel doesn't like it if you buy tickets elsewhere - they have told the drivers that the traveler is not staying there. Don't leave anything longer term as it will not be there when you return (with no apology). No safety box in the room and it doesn't feel very secure. The restaurant is overpriced, and it is right on a noisy street (so I rate location as two stars). There are much quieter and equally convenient areas in PnP.

I have just read the previous review. I also had the same experiences. I booked over internet. Hotel quote was $10,was told would be picked up from Bus Station. No transport arrived ,was told driver went to wrong bus station. On phoning from bus station, lady owner said her driver went to wrong place.Take a Tuk Tuk and she will pay. On arrival at hotel, she refused to pay what I had paid the Tuk Tuk driver. She informed me the room was $12 and not $10 as she had stated. Excellent room, but there was no drinking glass nor soap and I had to ask for toilet paper, I stayed 5 days, towels changed twice. The day before I left I paid the $7 she quoted for a taxi to take me to the airport. I especially wanted a taxi because I wear contact lens and did not want dust etc in my eyes before flying out. A few minutes before taxi arrived she said, taxi not come, take my nephews Tuk Tuk,which I did. I appears she had the time to pay her nephew $2 before we left, but she kept my extra $5. In many ways she was quite friendly to me probably as her daughters are married to NZers, but behind it all ,I think a very corrupt greedy woman. I later emailed her to let her know what I thought of her and her guest house and that she was part of the corruption that is Cambodia.
Its not so much the money involved its the way its fraudentily taken from you thats upsetting. Going by previous comment,I think she tries the same trick on many people.

Sadly only spent a few days in Phnom Penh, is much to see and do.
The guest house is well situated, less than 10mins walk to the Mekong and other attractions, only afew $ in tuctuc to other attractions. The staff at the guest house were fantastic with me, they arranged tours and transport for me and were more than happy to help with any problems, fantastic English also 👍

Absolutely don't want to recommend to anyone unless you don't mind the feeling like sleeping on the side of street.(I mean better side of street with bathroom) First of all they don't want to take the credit card because we booked online so it was big hassle to pay with CC. Owner of the place was so miserable, couldn't find any smile on her at all. We booked a three bed room, when we walked in all of three bed were with different crummy stained bed sheets that smelled like something bad and towels were even worse. Mudy stained spotted towels that all three of us can't believed had been washed. Not to mention strange bathroom where the shower water would run under the door into the room. The room had sort of working air conditioner and loud fan that made sleeping with it on impossible. Do not trust what you see in the photos as they must be outdated. We have done a good amout of traveling all over the Asia and stayed many different guest houses but this is the first time we walked out of place after first night and give up 3 more days of paid payment. NO MATTER WHAT WE SAID THEY DON'T CARE OF YOUR HYGIENE~~~ ONLY MONEY IS IMPORTANT FOR THEM. I gave them one star but I don't think they are not even worth one star.

We booked this hotel through a reputable booking site and notified them that we would be arriving around 10:30-11pm. When we arrived reception was closed. We the security guard woke one of the people there, they said they had no record of our booking. I showed them the confirmation, and was greeted with a blank stare and then told that the guesthouse was full. They would arrange somewhere else for us nearby.
They did, only they place they put us in was filthy, had no ac, no soap, no toilet paper and no hot water. When I say filthy, the sheets were stained and had burn holes, there was hair in the bed and in the sink and the bathroom was mouldy. There was a hotel regulations sign on the wall - the first 3 bullet points were - Weapons and explosions are prohibited, illicit drugs are prohibited, and bringing children in for sexual purposes is prohibited. Whilst we agree with all of these points we believe the sign gave an indication of the regular clientele here.
The next day we called them and asked them to send someone to bring us back. They seemed shocked that we asked, but after a bit of arguing they sent a tuk tuk - it was a very short ride.
When we arrived, there was no apology. Even when I complained, I got a shrug.
Service at the restaurant was pretty average. The day I left I ordered a coffee and asked it be brought quickly because I had to go and catch a boat shortly. Only when I got up to leave 15 minutes later was I chased by one of the waiters saying you ordered.
Avoid this place.

Great guest house with perfect location, 5 min walk to the riverside or market, 2 min walk to the royal palace. Bedrooms are great, air con. Very friendly and helpful, good English staffs. If you want to get the nicest room, recommended on the 3 or 4th floor.

The staff seem to be friendly and helpfull but is actually not when your phone and credit cards are stolen in the room..After talking with clients that have been stolen it appeared that the hotel have connection with the mafia. . Rooms are not made, food gives digestive issues, trip and bus tickets are overpriced. Don't come here or your stay will cost you more than expected

One of the worst I've stayed in, in Asia. Paid $20 a night walk in... higher than others it seems. For $15 it would have been ok if it was just for the lack of cleanliness ie you don't expect much for $15. It was the small things that got me though. No soap, broken fridge, no shower curtain, no toilet paper, and some other small things which have escaped me now. The worst thing was a maintenance guy banging on my door waking me up, I yelled 'no thank you' thinking it was room service, but he kept banging. Finally answered the door dazed and in my underwear and he wanted to come change the 'bum gun'. I asked if it had to be done now and he said yes, again, still dazed and wanting to get back to sleep, I was confused. I asked 2-3 more times and was given the same answer. Finally he relented and left. Strange, it was about 1pm, but obviously I had just woken up and didn't want someone in my room, nor did I request repairs. Absolutely would not recommend!
