We stayed here for 2 nights in February 2020. This is really a 3.5 star review, as the hotel was no more than quite nice.
On arrival we were upgraded to the "Songsaar" room on the second floor (we had booked the Angkor room on the first floor).
The hotel does not have any lifts and the stairs were steep in places, so no problem for us but could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues.
The hotel has a kind of colonial feel to it, with lots of dark wood and antique furniture. The check in was fine although perhaps not as slick as some other smart hotels. The receptionist had not even heard of the local restaurant we intended to eat at (Khema Pasteur).
The room was not very practical. There was nowhere to put the suitcases and the bed was in the middle of the room but facing the rear, very strange. The bathroom likewise was strange as it had a bath with a shower over it but no bath curtain to keep the water in and the shower head was too low. There was a window looking into the bathroom (!) There were material blinds installed which got wet. The bathroom door stuck a bit and did not close properly, so some maintenance issues here.
There was a big private balcony and decent WiFi. Despite the local construction work, the room was not too noisy (although one night there was karaoke noise outside till 11.30) and we slept quite well.
Breakfast was in the pleasant open lobby. The food was ok but the service could be slow as only one member of staff was serving all the guests.
As ever the staff were friendly and pleasant.
We ate at the nearby French restaurant Khema Pasteur which was quality food for reasonable prices.
The hotel bar had its own happy hour which is recommended as the cocktails were good and reasonably priced.
Overall therefore a charming characterful hotel but with some issues.

I loved my stay(s) at VMansion. I originally only stayed one night but returned for two more nights after a trip to Kampot.
The rooms are well decorated with unique character. The room overlooking the pool had a moldy smell but the staff easily and quickly moved me to another room with a wonderful bathtub and private rooftop balcony.
The location was on a quiet street that I felt safe walking along by myself at night.
The breakfast had a half dozen nice options and was made to order.
The best part of the hotel was the staff. Ms. Sophi is a gem. She's funny and helpful and just a delight to be greeted by when you're coming back from a long day of walking.

The hotel is located quite conveniently. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The decor is also very nice. Breakfast has quite a few options and the food is good quality. They help to accommodate special requirements as much as possible as well.
For me the highlight was the staff. The reception staff was very friendly, always in a good mood and very helpful. The staff at the restaurant was also very nice and helpful.
I forgot my passport at the hotel and had to call for them to help me get it to the airport. The receptionist came himself and brought it so I would not miss my flight and it would be in safe hands. This was exceptional service and saved me of quite a predicament.
Would definitely stay there again!

It is indeed a beautiful boutique hotel. Beautiful rooms, helpful staff good breakfast. Online drawback was climbing steep stairs as there is no lift or escalators . We booked a family room and was given the same on the 3RD FLOOR. Had to climb all the way up and walk down. I had sprained my ankle at Angkor, it was painful. This property has a great location. You come out of the hotel and turn left again turn left many mimi markets super markets restaurants. Palace is walking distance too. 2 blocks from the hotel there was a Mediterranean restaurant, very good and big portions food.

I can't really say enough good things about the hotel and staff. The rooms are clean and great. WIFI is fast. The food at the hotel is amazing. Happy hour is the best bargain in Cambodia.
The hotel itself is very cool and unique, being a converted mansion. I have stayed here on three separate visits. Many of their guests are repeat customers. The rates are extremely reasonable for what you get.

Such an amazing experience staying at VMansion. This city is becoming awash with high rises and chain hotels. Staying at this beautiful hotel reminds me of everything I love about Phnom Penh, and I hope will not change. Wonderful staff, comfortable atmosphere and clean and spacious rooms. Could not recommend it enough. Staff were just amazing.

Vmansion was the perfect landing spot in Phnom Penh. The employees were kind and went out of their way to be helpful! Our room was pretty and comfortable, the shower was great and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay here again!

breakfasts were very good with different choices..
The only problem are the bed matress ..

We had a wonderful time at the Vmansion- Hotel. Very friendly an helpful staff. Service was excellent and made our stay in Phnom Penh extraordinary.
Breakfast and room are very good and comfortable. Its a good located smaller hotel close to the sights:-)

Staff are helpful and definitely delightful. Room was large. Shower was excellent. Good location. Bed was on the firm side for me. Pool is an extra bonus. Good breakfast, although it did take a bit of time, from ordering to delivery. Like much of Phnom Penh there is construction/renovation taking place nearby.
