Excellent hotel! The staff is very friendly and helpful. On arrival they help you to download the hotel app with which you can i.e. order the free of charge (electric) Tuktuk to bring or pick you up somewhere. This works very well if you want to go to a bar or restaurant in this area (there are plenty!) or if you want to go to 11degree brewpub which also belongs to the Vattanac Group. Rooms are not too big, but very well done. In the whole hotel you can see that somebody took care of all details from the brand of the shampoo or body wash to the decoration. The rooms are quiet, the water pressure in the shower (problem in some hotels) is perfect and there is no carpeting in the room which gets dirty and stinky after some time, it’s an easy to clean wooden floor. The quality of the breakfast, especially the coffee, is excellent. The hotel manager personally takes care of the guest and that everything is ok.

It's located in one of the best places to stay in Phnom Penh, it's close to Royal Palace and the other cultural attractions can be reached by walk or with a driver in a short time. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the 2 restaurants inside, El Tapas (spanish) and the Skylight (asian & western) in which we have been many times. The skybar, overlooking the river, was our ideal location to end the day with a fantastic view of the river side.
Kind and professional staff, ready for every need.
KVL is a hotel where I would stay again very willingly!!

It’s curious that this hotel is classed as 4 star, because in every detail it matches or beats the typical luxury 5 star hotels I stay in. In a decade of living year round in hotels, I’ve rarely if ever stayed anywhere with this level of attention to detail, refinement, and modern luxury.

I love to stay at KVL. The view from the room is amazing where I could see the Chatomok river (a riverine crossroads in the heart of Cambodia). Accommodation is at high standard from restaurants and in-room amenities to free tuk tuk ride! The transport service by Tuk Tuk is so much fun and can bring me to many attractions such as Vattanac Capital, Wat Phnom, Royal Palace, Central Market, Independence Monument as well as the National Museum.

For a modern affordable stay in Phnom Penh, I feel like Hotel KVL is the best-kept secret. As a New Yorker, I'm pretty picky about where I like to stay, but I was impressed with this hotel. Hotel KVL is elegant and done really well for the price. Each room has great value. I like the impressive river views, imported bed linens, the softest pillows ever, and great hospitality. I also think their espresso coffee in the lobby is some of the best in the city. Apparently, it's a custom local roast. Thumbs up from this coffee addict.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel KVL for 2 nights having chosen it due to its location - waterfront, and walking distance to the National Museum and Royal Palace which we wanted to see in our 1 day in Phnom Penh.
Lived up to the photos on the website.
The rooftop bar overlooking Tonle Sap river is fabulous and the signature cocktails delicious.
Plenty of different food options and friendly staff. Special shout out to General Manger Carl Sladen, who made the effort to introduce himself at lunch, and finding out we were Aussies and about to spend the next 9 nights in Siem Reap, surprised us at checkout with a gift - a jar of Vegemite!
Many thanks Carl and team, we very much enjoyed our brief stay at Hotel KVL and highly recommend it to all visiting Phnom Penh.
